Yeah, well, I'm not emotionally attached to my childhood. :p If I was, the Kanto starters would be my favorites.

And the ones I listed under Unova have at least one starter I dislike as much as Emboar (Venusaur, Empoleon, and Typhlosion and Meganium, respectively). Plus, with Unova, I love the other two starters while the ones I listed under have only one that I really like (Charizard, Infernape, and Feraligatr, respectively).

But that's just me. It's as you said. I don't hate any entire generation of starters, it's like asking me which flavor of ice cream I dislike the most.

I'm emotionally attached to Johto, but I wouldn't say they were the best set of starters because imo, they were pretty bland with Feraligatr as exception. There are people who adore Chescaught with others wondering "How did he go from that to that?" I guess there's a starter for everyone and if you don't like them, you can always go with Charmander, Bulbasaur, or Squirtle. Why do I have a feeling Squirtle will be the forever alone pokemon? I know plenty of people going for Charmander and Bulbasaur, but Squirtle is hardly mentioned.

As someone said up there, the point is that you like the 3 of them, but there will be one you will love ;) soo, here is my opinion:

1-1st gen - Classic hahah everyone loves them, it is just too hard to decide for me between them, oh dear bulbasaur, but I choose Charmander! :)
2- 3rd gen - Again is just too hard to decide, the 3 are cool and strong. - Sceptile!
3-2nd gen - This was my first gen so I personally have love for the 3 of them, but cyndaquil(my first pokemon) takes the most of it- Forever choosing cyndaquil xd
4- 6th gen- The first day I was so 'wt****ed' but I know they will grow on me (the last evos) At first i wanted fennekin, then fell in love with frogadier but now it is hard hahah- Staying with froakie-frigadier-greninja :) Ill use sennin mode with greninja lol B)
5-4th gen- Another good trio, I always chose infernape but these days I dont know if infernape or empoo, gotta decide hahah
6-5th gen - Damn I hated those guys at the start xD but they all grew on me, even Emboar lol, a little. I like samurott, but my unova starter is Serperior! :)

Grass are usually my favourite; all but one generation have had pretty good ones, although that one is this one. I don't really like Chesnaught, something about the drastic colour change and the detached shell puts me off, though the rest of it is okay. Greninja has a similar deal - without the tongue scarf, it'd be great. Delphox is the only one I haven't got a huge issue with, it still fits with the line and has some grace to it - while not one of my favourite Pokemon, I'm happy enough to train one.

As for the starter rankings:

Hoenn > Johto > Unova > Sinnoh > Kanto > Kalos

Meganium > Venusaur = Serperior > Sceptile = Torterra > Chesnaught

Blaziken > Typhlosion > Delphox = Charizard > Emboar > Infernape

Empoleon > Samurott = Swampert > Blastoise > Feraligatr > Greninja

As a general rule, I prefer elegant and cute Pokemon to the tougher ones, which probably explains my listings here.

I always had a thing for Grass starters, but I don't really have a favorite type out of the three. As far as last evos go:

Typhlosion > Infernape > Charizard > Emboar > Blaziken > Delphox
Greninja > Blastoise > Feraligatr > Swampert > Samurott > Empoleon

For all people complaining about Delphox's lack of wand, here's something said by a reviewer in Kotaku:

"I'm a big fan of how the later evolutions of the fire starter, for example, seem to bring out a wand to cast spells. If only all the Pokemon had that sort of attention to detail." Notice how he says evolutions, not only evolution.
