• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

I hope a trainer in Kalos has a Charizard so I can save in front of it and kill it with Rock Slide everytime I turn on Y again. I then use Fennekin to burn all Bulbasaur while my Skrelp will Sludge Bomb Squirtle.

Yup. Though I'd hope the Vs. Seeker reappears, so I'd grind Fennekin up to Lv. 100, evolving it, then I'd rematch them and incinerate them all >:3

So, on that cheery note, I bet on Froakie having a huge physcial movepool, with moves like Drain Punch, Ice Punch, Bounce, Waterfall, Return, maybe Bullet Punch, e.t.c.

Wouldn't helioptile work better?

They better have the Vs Seeker, or there's gonna be an IS-SUE XDDD

Or at least another given lucky egg :p

I don't plan on using one.

Ah. While I'd prefer the kanto starters not appear, at least till post game, squirtle would help with fire for my chespin. Unless my get my grass/rock.

Well you know, there's always Clauncher and Skrelp here that are kinda cool, if you ask me.
Otherwise you can just wait until the full Pokédex comes out and see what Water Pokémon could play that role instead of Squirtle. ;)

Getting y, so far skrelp.

Good point, hope we get good ones.

Usually I propose people to not go too fast by doing teams with the Pokémon we've got actually. Take your time, be sure to get the good starter and not regretting your choice (and for that, maybe you'll have to wait the release date for that so you can see the evolutions, depending if you judge a starter by its evolution as well) and then just check up the whole new Pokédex to see what are your favorites once they are all there for you. :p
I used to rush in things in the past, and my first Unova team (right when I bought the game) ended up with a Oshawott, a Lillipup and a Purrloin (that was way underleveled). I restarted after that to get Snivy (see ? I didn't even know wich starter I wanted!) to finally get Oshawott way later.

Oops, meant to type I don't like skrelp.

Sadly, unless fennekin/froakie blow my mind, I'm probably not gonna pick 'em-hate frogs, dislike foxes (and it looks to ratdog-ish for me). So chespin's my hope. Otherwise, I'm gonna do an OSS file with pangoro.

I'm also going for Chespin and I never changed my starter because I disliked its evolution, so I'm probably going to stick with Chespin.
I just don't want it to have a ... tree coming from its head, like some are speculating. However, just the fact Chespin can learn Wood Hammer made my day, exactly like every Fennekin fan who learned it could learn Psychic. :D Wood Hammer is an awesome move that I never had the chance to try out.

Same here-I want spikes. And I love wood hammer.

I won't be using Kanto starters anyway, I had enough of Kanto for once.

I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit tired of it too. Kanto is the first and it does deserve attention for that but it's been in each generation in some form, it can use a break.

Having said that, if the Kanto Starters are post-game then it's fine since it's no different then what happened in Emerald and HGSS, I just don't like the idea of them being in the main game.

Yeah, the Kanto starters are boring.I'm soo fed up with them and their simplistic design.

Man, I love you. Kanto starters are a 'bit old, now. I really don't want them to be introduced.

Me neither. Give the new starters their thunder.

The starters that are yet to be given by someone postgame are the Gen 4 starters.
Gen 1 is so overrated.

A torterra would be awesome in 3d!

I love blastoise, but it really is.

If an ingame character would say to me "do you want a starter from Sinnoh?"...I would say "Yes,*****,I would want one!" They are cool, especially Turtwig and Chimchar.

This. This so much, it's ashame that we might not get them in XY imo because at least they're more newer starters then Gen I. Even then I'll stick with the lickie in my signature. Plus I find the Gen VI the most unique starters yet personally.
