At the beginning of Mysterious Dungeon, do you get to pick which pokemon you play as? And if so, then among which ones? The suspense kills.

I have looked on the main site and could not really find anything that actually said this, please can someone point out if there is some where. But the answer to you question is no. You get randomly turned into one of the starters, depending on the game. One you complete the first half of the game though you can play as any pokemon in you friend area i think. And all of the pokemon are in this game as well.

So if I end up starting with a pokemon I don't like, then I could just restart it and try for another?

On another note (sort of), I think if I had to choose among the starters, then I'd like Charmander, Chikorita, or Torchic. I hope they're all on the same version, probably not though. I'm not that lucky.

heres starters for each version:

red:
water wtarters
grass starters
skitty
eevee
psyduck

blue:
fire starters
grass starters
skitty
eevee
psyduck

(thats what I seem to remember, seeing as I started as totodile once in red and neve one got a fire starter)

Really? I thought I remembered reading that the waters were in blue and the fires were in red. But maybe I read wrong. Anyway, thanks. That's just what I was looking for.

Actually I'm pretty sure the starters are the same in both games!

I'm currently playing as a Mudkip on Blue and when fiddling with Red I once got a Charmander starter.

This game look's like it's gonna be decent i've been thinking though will it move the traditional pokemon theme? will people stop buying the pokemon games we all love and worship i doubt it but it could be possible....

then how'd I get a totodile in red with no cheats asmy start (not partner, starter) o_O

Did you read my post? ALL STARTERS ARE IN BOTH! You can get any of the nine in either Red or Blue. My example was just proof that you can get water folk in blue and fire in red IN ADDITION TO THE EXACT OPPOSITE (water folk in red and fire folk in blue).

I just clicked here and there hoping to get a pokemon I liked and I got eevee. ;133; So does this mean I'm female?

So when you're human it shows you as male or female? I only assume that you start out as a human anyway, I haven't played the game yet.
