I couldn't find any threads like this, but if there are, then the mods. can feel free to close this.

Is it possible to beat Ruby/Saphire/Emerald with just Steel Pokemon with different types of attacks, other than just steel attacks?

ah... I think there is already a challenge thing on serebii like this, were you try to beat the game with only one type of pokemon, but I guess its possible.

Okay, thanks. I was thinking of restarting my Saphire and using just steel Pokemon.

It can probably be done...if you have all level 100's but it will be tough.
0.0 but how are you going to get like 6 Magnemites/Arons at the beginning of the game...

Arons are found Soon enought to the beginning of the game. Magenamites however are not. and because you have sapphire that mean no Mawlie.... so trade is the only good option. and as for it being hard, no it'll be easy enough. just lookat my trainer card. they aren't exactly the picture of strengh. and the last two were only recently added.

before beating the elite four, your team will consist of: aggron, magneton, skarmory, and registeel. after the E4, you can get beldum, and that's all the steel-types available in sapphire without trading.

I would advice you not to do it. It would be challenging, and fun to do. But there arent enough Steel pokemon in Saphire. And it would be so extremely difficult, you would want to throw your GBA/DS. But if you want to, Skarmory, Magneton, Metagross, Registeel, and Aggron are ALL great steel pokemon.

meta's pretty much tied for the best non-legendary, but he can't get it until after he beats the league.

team is going to have problems with juan's whiscash. and every fire-type until he gets EQ on his aggron.

Yep, it's the Monotype Challenge. It is possible to beat the game with just one type that has moves other than Steel. :p Refer to the thread Fighting_Master said for more info.
