I'd really like to see a gem with electrical powers, that would be kickass.

Quick. Research what gem has the closest connection to electricity.

Um, salt bonds ionically. I guess. I haven't taken chemistry or geology stuff in forever but I think gems have high resistances to electricity.

    Yeah that would be Garnet.

Remember her electrokinesis from Arcade Mania?

Not that she uses it much, but she has it.

    also pearl is best gem

A pure electric based gem should really be reserved for one of the diamonds, a strong ability like that should belong to them.

... Oh yeah, Garnet does have electrical powers.

We haven't see it used for a longgggg time, though...

Oh yeah. Back then it seemed like the gem powers were simply generic 'magic' so I kind of dismissed it, but now that there's a lot more references to specific abilities, she must have some electrical ability. I'm hoping it isn't explained as a subset of Ruby's fire abilities though. Suppose all gems could have electrical powers if it's explained as her using the stored power of her gems.

I still don't understand what was up with Garnet in that episode even knowing what I know about her now. Like, why was Garnet hypnotized by the game? We know that it was Sapphire's eye that was hypnotized by the game now, so it's probably something about Sapphire, but beyond that I never really understood what was happening.

Maybe Sapphire is easily distracted? We saw in the last episode how much the butterflies distracted her, even if it's a metaphor. Maybe because she can see the future, she struggles juggling the present with what's in front of her.

Eh, it seems like it's not that simple, sounds like it's a gem ability (really more of a disability) of some sort.

I felt like it was pretty much because of Future Vision.
Somehow Garnet's Future Vision locked itself into the future path of Meat Beat Mania, explaining why she played perfectly, and uh

    yeah

    Very standard filler.

But it is kinda nice to have human focused episodes after so much gem lore.

Onion continues to be best "human" lol.

  15. Bolt the Cat

    By robbing an arcade?

I bet Onion thought differently and interpreted prison bars as having more of them to break into stores.

Geez. Everyone who's not even a gem gets in on character development. I will wait for a Jane-focused episode.

    Hm, that episode was nice.

Poor Steven, tho. He's gotta stop breaking everything in Funland. :p

No no, the gag just helped. It's the random s*** he'll do like this that makes him so lovable.
