Begun, the Clone War has.

In the long run (and with Wifi and all), the only difference this will make is convenience. There were less convenient ways to clone Pokémon with the aid of external devices, such as rolling back one's save, and I'm sure these would've made their way to wifi, anyway. As far as I'm concerned, cheating is cheating. Pokémon are supposed to be unique. Just because this exploit exists doesn't mean it's fair to use it. It goes against the spirit of the game, and those who use it will be looked down on. As far as trading goes, see my sig.

So, what's the point of this thread, exactly?

The sticky was closed TEMPORARILY to give everyone a chance to cool off, and hopefully be able to start the discussion again peacefully, and on topic, sometime tomorrow. There doesn't need to be any more threads created on the subject, and there will be NO FIGHTING when the thread opens back up, only civilized discussion.
