Stoping Sharked and ARed pokemon from getting on wifi

BluekiKatana

I'm currently working hard with my friends at Pokemon Nation (see sig), to start getting a reputation based friend code system around to prevent playing these kind of people. We will also have a black list. Meaning; we can keep track of the honest players and the cheaters. Hopefully other communities can consider doing this too!

Here is what I now about current games with illegal rules.. If you use gameshark to get an aurura ticket and go to birth island get deoxys and get it shiny or w/e and put it on xd it wont get mad at you.. however if you get a deoxy's in the wild I know some games get mad at you..My friend tried to battle me in xd with a pokemon with ' Max stats ' and it yelled " Illegal Pokemon" and it destroyed all of his max stats pokemon and removed them from his game.. thats all I know about this generation. But I dont think nintendo will allow sharked pokemon on wifi because they have certain qualities that normal pokemon dont have..anyways thats what I think..

- End

well... and this is the facts: back in the 1990s when a company called GameGeine (r) released teh (*BIG BREATHE*) Game Geine ((R) again), nintendo tried to sue them because it wasn't liceaned by nintendo in any way, but infact it made it to the supreme court and they ruled infavor of GamGeine cailiming that nintendo doesnt have the copy rights on any cheatcode device. so they can't do alot, except complain mew and deoxys aren't legit

Let me ask you something about this cheating what about people who raise their pokemon with Rare Candies and such, should they be restricted too.

OK... i know alot about the coding of R/S/E as far as anti-hax goes... prolly not as much as other ppl ... but enuff to clarify...

1.i dont believe in cheating in MP games.

ok to start off:

-load of POOP <--dont wanna offend ne1 :p

first off, XD will not delete your game. all pokemon have a bit of data coded into them that is called a "obedience" flag. mew and deoxys both have a check where, if this flag is not set, they will not obey. XD checks against your RSEFRLG pokemon to see if the flag is checked, and to see if it has been caught at the appropriate place and at the approprate level in the appropriate game.

2nd, any pkmon CANNOT have a total iv # over 510. so, if someone tried to hack a pkmn with ivs maxed out to like 999, its obviousely hacked.

i.e., if you have a deoxys that had the flags saying it was caught in Ruby, XD would reject it and IT WILL NOT SHOW UP IN THE TRADE WINDOW to transfer to XD.

now, GF could and probably will enact a system that will check the appropriate hidden flags listing where it was caught, the OT id and hidden ID, and original lvl, the IV totals, the EV totals(possibly, since technically it IS possible to get a pkmn with max stats in all EVs, although close to impossible),the movesets (to make sure a pokemon doesnt have a move it cant learn, although i HAVE heard of things like surfing pikachuus being given out at some events, so this may be omitted). now this may prevent a good load of ppl from cheating, it still will not prevent skilled hackers from being able to do so. a reporting system, similar to xbox live, would be a excellent feature to include so that players could report hackers, although this could lead to unskilled players calling people who know the game and EV train, etc.. to report as hackers when they arent..

-thats my 2 cents.. ill add more to that as i think about it. :p

nintendo is not going to stop gs or ar. they get money from it. and they dont really care about your game(s). Think of it as the government and ciggarettes!

Personally think that hacked pokemon are defeating the purpose and challenge of train up pokemon...

What does it matter? If a Pokemon is hacked, you'll either know or you won't. If you know, then it's obviously been tactlessly hacked; i.e. a shiny with impossible stats and moves. If you can't tell, because everything has been made within the legal limits of the game, what do you care and why does it matter?

Personally, I don't care, as long as the hacked it to be within legal parameters. Of course, I wouldn't mind a barrier against obviously illegal and hacked Pokemon, but I don't specifically want one, and I certainly don't want a kill-all guard that keeps me from getting a practically legal Aresues that someone got via a Warp Code or an Item code because someone had some moral constrain againse using an outside device to do the same thing the nintendo devices do: unlock a certain area. If you have some big issue with GS pokemon, cloned Pokemon, or anything else, keep it to yourself. Not everyone shares your strict moral confines and I mself would enjoy getting one of NUMEROUS event legendaries via someone else's will to unlock the event area. And I'm sure that they'd love to get one of many JAA Celebi I'll clone.

So, my point: Block Pokemon with illegal stats/moves/locations. Celebi caught at Route so-and-so? Bad. Sheimi at Flower Path? Good.

I personally believe that as long as stats, EVs, IVs, and moves are perfectly legal, that it is fine to hack a pokemon onto any route. Granted, I prefer to use warp codes than just catch it on some route, but for the few legendaries that I cant do that with(Celebi, Jirachi) I have to use a wild pokemon modifier. After I catch them, I train them just like any pokemon, through battling. I am highly against codes that increase stats to 999, that raise EV and IVs to impossible levels, and that give Charizard the ability to use Hydro Pump. If they can make a filter to block out those cheats, I dont see why people should be forced to stop using cheating devices just to catch the pokemon.

This should be obvious. It's nearly impossible to actually max out a Pokemon's stats by playing the game. If you spend a lot of time breeding, buying vitamins, etc you might be able to get close. Why should all that be made meaningless because the person you're playing against can just hack to maximum legal stats in minutes? What meaing is there in Pokemon breeding?

To Zainith:

As far as I know, the only monsters that you absolutely cannot catch in any game are celebi and jirachi. However, both monsters are available in unlimited supply through bonus discs. Celebi in Japan, and Jirachi in the states. I'm sure you could find someone to trade with you. I'd trade a Celebi to someone for a Deoxys or something, as long as it was caught in the correct location, not on some route.

Yes, it is my plan to first use the GTS to track down legit Celebis and Jirachis. I can easily trade any other legendary because I catch them all in their correct locations(though I have to use codes to get to some of those locations). I still stand firm on my point that the capturing side of codes should not be blocked, only the battling side.
