In my case, I use Gameshark to teleport me to Birth Island, Naval Rock, etc. Places you normally need to go to events for. I could use the codes to get anywhere but I only use them for that.

You see,I honestly think in a case like that it is okay to use the cheating devices,and like what has previously been said,some of us cant reach events and thus we cant get these event pokemon. I had to let my friend hack in my hooh and lugia for me(well actually he traded them from his game which he hacked). I know that is not what this thread is used for,but it has already turned into a battle of morality. Also,please dont give people a hard time about putting up cheats online because they were the one who took the risk,not you,and by the way,I think it has been proven that trading a cheated pokemon will not corrupt your game file. But that is just my opinion,and i really doubt anyone cares what I think...

Yes, it is my plan to first use the GTS to track down legit Celebis and Jirachis. I can easily trade any other legendary because I catch them all in their correct locations(though I have to use codes to get to some of those locations). I still stand firm on my point that the capturing side of codes should not be blocked, only the battling side.

Well you're in luck my friend, because it will be absolutely impossible to block people using teleport hacks as the monster you get from using them is the real thing. And yes, the battling side should be blocked, and it should be possible to block as the Pokemon's data has been altered via an outside device. The only real question is, "Does Nintendo care enough to do something about it?"

Not really, I've seen tons of hacked shinies on GTS and got a hacked Parukia before in a trade.

And there are always morons asking for ledgends level 10 and under when you can't even get them that low.

Theres about 15 Manafis on GTS, all asking for "Agunomu at level 10 or under".

So, you're likely to find legit ledgends on GTS. But not at an offer thats actually work for anyone.

Ultimately it doesn't matter whether they do something about cheated Pokemon because Legendary Pokemon obtained in a trade isn't exactly what I'd call legit to begin with. I still have no problems trading with other people knowing that, though.

This should be obvious. It's nearly impossible to actually max out a Pokemon's stats by playing the game. If you spend a lot of time breeding, buying vitamins, etc you might be able to get close. Why should all that be made meaningless because the person you're playing against can just hack to maximum legal stats in minutes? What meaing is there in Pokemon breeding?

YOU know that you're the superior person because you actually worked on your Pokemon instead of taking the easy route. Now, if that doesn't satisfy you, and you must justify your existance via some online pissing match against a person you'll never see or hear from again, then your problems extend past what people do to their games.

That being said, I still see no reason to extend any filters past weeding out illegal Pokemon. Long before the game came out, I decided that this would be the gen I complete my National Dex. I don't want to have my own goals hindered because someone else has some strict moral issue against perfectly legal AR'd Pokemon.​

It's in general. And you're right, no one has been 100% against cheated-but-legal pokemon, but when you takem all the opinions into account, every part of them has been bashed by at least one person. And I'm sure that everyone who posts in this thread wants their opinion to be taken into account, right?

I reinterate: what does it matter? If it's completely within legal boundaries, or even gotten from the game itself, i.e.: using a warp code to get to Navel Rock or Birth Island, where's the problem? Not everyone can make it to events to get legendaries. Not everyone can buy 8 different games just to complete a pokedex. The only thing I can think of that TRULY justifies any problem a person may have with cheated-but-legals is losing to someone who hacked for the ultimate legal stats available to a Pokemon. But as I've said, if your existance must be justified via an online pissing match, then you have bigger problems then what people do to their games.​

Ya i kinda agree, i think they should try to filter out shark and ar i mean i used to think it was a cool idea but a person like me, it would bug me after a while thinking its not a legit pokemon. Hopefully they will think of something i mean they could make it like the battle frontier but instead just find the pokemons code and see if its hacked and if so dont allow it...

i only use hacks to get to places like birth island
i dont like to hack pokemon tho cuz it feels weird to have a mew wit zigzagoon's stats

Yea, I did the port codes too... but a buddy of mine (got jealous) called me a chearer,he later bought an AR, said he was just going to use the port codes like me... instead, he (who cannot control himself) cheated for crap like: all poke balls, infinite money (I don't mind that one), the port codes PLUS the always shiny code (for Mew, because it took me 37 resets to get a shiny, he goes a decides he wants one too >_> his cheated nature is Naughty anyway, so he'll make a crap Mew; but still... he's breaking all these moral codes we set)

Now, I feel guilty for making a monster >_> I mean, he liked Pokemon and played it with us... but somehow, I turned him away from .hack//GU and got him addicted to Pokemon... he's been downloading all the movies/episodes (because me and another friend were talking about when we first saw the movies a long time ago) and he bought Pokemon cards today all because I bought some!! It's seriously driving me insane... he's become quite annoying too, always randomly saying nachos and tacos and pulling out his AR everywhere >_> argh...

People like that... that's who I don't want to be seeing on WiFi...

Sorry for the rant, but my buddy's really been getting to me these days (he comes to my house every day... to play Pokemon with me...)

Sure I used AR for leaf green alot for infinate money , pokeballs , tms hms , leveling up , creating pokemon. then in emerald for only leveling up in the end I realised that it was wrong to use cheats because it underminded pokemon created glithes and could corupt games by trading pokemon so I deleted the save files on both games and decided to never use cheats again.

Just for those who are scared about AR and GS codes making files corrupt, only AR does that, both me and my friend own a GS and AR and our GS's dont hurt the game at all, but our AR's screw them up badly.

AR never screwed up my files... :/ Only when I was using it incorrectly. xD Someone was saying earlier that you can prove that a pokemon is hacked or not. Well, I found a pretty decent way by trading to Colosseum and XD. Any pokemon that was hacked shiny, has max stats, etc. won't pass through, which are a majority of my hacked pokemon. What about the ones that do get through? I have quite a handful. Lucky me I guess... 8D Or maybe the GC games aren't very good...

lets say you have shiny Aruseus, and you want to show it off, so you upload it, but ask for impossible things in exchange, then people lookin' for legends will see it, but obviously they wouldnt be able to trade the agunomu lv.10


unless some hack boy creates an agunomu at lv.10...
but, isnt there a way to reject a trade on GTS???
like, you upload it, someone appears with the things you asked in exchange... there isnt a way to quit at the last moment before performing the trade?
