With those who have wifi, it may be possible that Nintendo will have tournaments giving rare pokemon or shiny to winners and people who placed high.

All that aside, AR and GS pokémon DO NOT HURT your game. I believed they are programmed in a way that the generator will just generate them. So it's going to be hard trying to stop it on wifi. It would take a LOT of money for Nintendo to figure out which pokémon are hacked and I don't think they would care that much. It just means if you were stupid and break your game save you have to buy another game. Why do you think its the #1 selling game on the Game Boys?

they may not hurt your game.... but i think it's just the idea that they might ruin wifi for those of us who spend ridiculous amounts of time breeding pokemon without cheating...

That would be not only because it's an excellent game, but also because of its mass marketing with the anime, cards, etc. It is loved and played by millions of childern around the world, and more than just a few adults as well. There are lots of reasons, but I wouldn't put "People ruining data by using game shark incorrectly and buying a second copy" in my top three, to say the least.

To Goldliop

You really hit the nail on the head there. If you're playing a game on line with random people, it doesn't matter if the are throwing legendaries that they used teleport hacks to get. To us playing against them, it's no different than if they went to an event. It's the stats, right. If people can use pokemon with hacked stats then it will make the wifi battle system pointless. To those who say they don't care about cheating, you'd probably change your mind if some level 25 Pikachu with hacked stats took down your whole team. What's worse are people who hack the stats to be the maxium stats you could possible get on that monster without hacking. Then they will pretend that they didn't hack at all and are winning with the pokemon they "trained." Like Goldliop said, how is that fair to people who enjoy spending time breeding pokemon for good stats?

I do not think that it is bad to shark Pokemon (such as unobtainables) or use it to get more rare TMs. However, hacking with stats seems pretty bad.

In Pokemon Stadium 2, if a Pokemon was hacked and had a move it did not learn naturally, the name was highlighted in purple. WiFi should do the same thing.

Unless this sharked Pokemon is a missingno type thing, then no.

Sharked pokemon can't harm your game, espcieally if people can use their AR codes correctly. The worse that can happen is a deleted save file. I have used AR for Pokemon Sapphire, Fire Red and Emerald and I never had any problems with it.

Besides, what is with you people thinking a sharked Pokemon is going to ruin your game. Do you think they have some milacious coding that causes your cataridge to blow up or did you just fail at using cheating devices?

are you sure? I hade a non-hacked emerald and it broke for no reason one day and i had a friend hacking and battled alot.

nintendo probally dont care if hacked pokemon get on WiFi because they will have to spend tons of money to make a fliter to find hacked pokemon and nintendo wont be willing to do that example: 1) hacker hackes game. 2) hacker at sometime does a code that gets him/her stuck. 3) hacker decides to get another copy of the game. and nintendo makes money out of all these hackers spoiling and buying another copy of the game

the good pokemon that people need should get on there

I figured nicknaming your trading pokes as "Legit" or "Nothack" would tell people on the GTS that they're getting a legit pokemon, but you can't really rename traded pokes so .... noone really wants to say/hear "Foe LEGIT used HYPER BEAM"...

I see it as a problem we just have to deal with, like a wise man once said, we all complain about the weather, but we never can do anything about it... short of causing nuclear winter or global warming, we're working on it folks!

This is where friend codes come in, only trade or battle with people you can trust, and Pokemon's wifi will be fine.
