Strategies vs. Power

In a pokemon battle, what do you use to be victorious? Strategy or power? Or whatever you feel like...VOTE NOW!!!

the correct strategy can always overcome the most powerful of... power.

while this is true, I admit, I actually prefer sweepers that smash through teams over defensive and clever strategy (although they are very useful)

In which case, strategy for the win, obviously. Even without, raw power can easily be blunted out and smacked silly by the right stragedasizing.

I memorized the type chart. All one needs to know to play Pokemon is basically there. Though some strategy can be useful. Like equiping a Pokemon with a Persim Berry before battling Phoebe. It's odd how so many moves don't work well in game (Trick, Focus Punch, Substitute, Spikes, Belly Drum, etc.), but are amazing in Link Battles, NetBattle, the Game Cube games, and the Battle Frontier.

A strategy is far better than raw power, it may seem useless thinking up of a stratagy to make you're Pokemon win but trust me it works.

Strategy is better than power, obviously. Like if you want your Skarmory to use Drill Peck, Steel Wing, Rock Slide, HP Ground when it could be spiking and phazing. Also, you need both to actually do something

Power, but only if you use it right. So .. You need a strategy to use power right. Tricky one. I voted Power, because I only teach my pkmn powerful and no tactic moves. But, powerful moves can only be treated right when you use a good strategy .. AAAAAAAAH! SOOO TRICKY >.<

A strategic pkmn and a pure sweeper are both needed in a team...to adapt to the situation, especially the BF...

It's hard to pick, but mostly ingame is pure power, but when it comes to BF its mostly strategy, so I pick strategy.
