In the Anime, there was an episode at Bill's' lighthouse featuring a giant Dragonite. In one of the next episodes, Dexter mentions that Raichu can knock a Dragonite uncncious with its' electricity, them not even knowing what a Dragonite is.

Dragon Goddess Flyder
In every main game, there has been:

A grass area larger than the screen
An extra long route or several routes between 2 places
A water/sea area larger then the screen

If you count Hidden Power (Grass), then Nidoking can learn an attack of each and every one of the 17 types, one of the very few (if not the only) non-legendaries who can do that. Pretty awesome, when you see that not even Lucario can match that.

Rayquaza, being a Pokemon that does not have the capability to learn every available TM and tutor move, can learn a damaging attack from 15 of 17 types, excluding only Psychic and Poison. However, Rayquaza can learn Rest and Toxic.

Actually, Nidoking gets a damaging attack from 16 of the 17 types if you don't include Hidden Power.

Mew is ultimate!!!
Look at the girafarig and ponyta D/P sprites
Notice the similarity ?

If you're not looking at them side-by-side they would seem basically the same, but they are holding up different front legs. Girafarig is holding up its left leg while Ponyta is raising its right. Also, Girafarig's body is longer and the sprite is taller overall.

The moves Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thundershock etc... are electric based yet 'thunder' is the sound and lightning is the actual psysical thing... so it should be Lightning, Lightningbolt, Lightningshock etc

In Pokemon FR/LG, when you fight Lorelei the first time, she has a female Dewgong. When you fight her the second time, the Dewgong is a male.

Same with her Cloyster and Lapras.

While most in-game trainers use Pokemon with a gender corresponding to their own, Bugsy, Will and Saturn all use Pokemon of the opposite gender at all times.

Lance, Bruno, and Blue (all trainers that appear in Gen I's elite four) reappear in Generation II with more or less the same Pokemon at lower levels.

If you think about it, the name of the move is too long.

Besides, who cares?

In both the early anime and Pokemon Special manga, it was common knowledge that there were 150 known Pokemon. Mew was almost unknown and wasn't counted in those 150, yet had been seen before. However, nobody knew what Mewtwo was, despite that it was one of those 150. That's kind of hard to put into words, but you guys know what I'm saying, right? What the heck is up, anyway? How does it make sense for Mewtwo to be listed before Mew in the Pokedex?

Mew and Arceus are the only Pokemon which can learn a damaging move of all seventeen types.

Latios is the only male-only Legendary Pokemon.

Currently, Articuno and Smeargle are the only Pokemon capable of learning both an accuracy-focusing move and a OHKO move. Poliwrath, however, could previously learn Fissure in Generation I and can currently learn Mind Reader.

apparently, a level 100 Shuckle can potentially deal the most damage in one single attack through the use of numerous stat boosters, by using Helping Hand, Metronome held item, Power Trick, a Skill Swap to Pure Power or Huge Power, and the Defense Curl/Rollout combo. Also, Shuckle's partner must have the ability Flower Gift and the weather must be sunny. On the 5th impact of Rollout, if used against a level 1 Ledyba or Yanma that have been hit with negative Defense modifiers (such as Screech), it can deal 213,896,052 damage with a critical hit. :O

The battle zone in Sinnoh is technically based on an island in Russia. This, if the correlation holds true, would mean a few things; Diglett's cave is still the only area which is based on japan to host wild Diglett, the player actually can cross the border out of the "Pokemon Nation" as some call it, and Heatran is actually foreign to said nation. That's all I could think of, but I'm sure there are a lot more things that one could logically derive from that bit of information...
