Stupid Silver Trench

MochiShroom

Azure Azumarill
Meganium lv. 90
Moves:
Synthesis, Body Slam-link-Razor Leaf, Solarbeam

Okay, in Silver Trench I can KO most Pokémon with the basic tackle attack. My Suicune can handle most Pkmn alone, too. But on the big levels, like Floor 75 where you're in a giant room with an Auto-Monster house, I have trouble. All the pkmn use paralyzing/cringing attacks and make my Defense go down w/Leer. Attacks that usually do 1 damage to me do 40 damage. It's crazy!! I had to use Escape Orb to avoid losing money and Items. Does anyone know what I can do to prevent Defense from going down or not be Paralyzed?

I don't think its possible to prevent stat reductions. The best way to deal with such Monster Houses is simply to carry a Petrify Orb. Otherwise you need have a high leveled Pokémon that has a move that can hit Pokémons in the whole floor. E.g Charizard's Heatwave, Venomoth's Silver Wind, etc.

Petrify Orb is the best you could take with you. Or like other people said, moves that hurt everyone on the floor. But you can prevent stat reduction with the Mist move.

o_O Now I wonder how I managed to fight through all that with a Lv.70ish Blaziken..

I was Charizard in that game and always used to just wipe out monster houses with Heat Wave - worked a treat even in somewhere that fire moves weren't very effective.. I strongly suggest you recruit a Charmander from the Fire Fields or basically just get someone that learns heatwave.

I haven't been on this in a while as I was having trouble doing the Celebi and Jirachi levels :( apart from those two I got all the legendaries.

A way to stop stat reductions...

Use Torkol, Matgross, or Tentacruel! Torkol has the added bonus of heat wave and burn immunity, Metagross has nice stats, types, and poison immunity, and Tentacruel... well... is immune to poison... and... well... that's about it!

Oh gosh, I wasn't even expecting this to even get submitted as a thread. Serebii Forums went down as soon as I clicked Enter.. But thank you all for the great advice. I'll go with the Petrify orb thing. What really makes me mad is when the Pokémon use Agility, so I better use it on the first turn. That's what makes it super hard to attack back. So, anyway, I'm going back to Silver Trench! :)

Huzzah.
Good luck!
I made it through with Chikorita and Pikachu. ;D
Remember, if you recruit Lugia, then it will all be worthwhile.

I BEAT IT!! I didn't even have to use the Petrify Orb, and I only died once becuse I was hungry. Lugia's all mine! I just made sure to kill every Kingdra I could find. Kingdra always use Agility, and that makes it hard to attack because every other Pkmn is fast. Also, I had Meganium remember Safeguard to prevent status conditions. But, I thank everyone for their suggestions anyway. :)

^Congrats on your journey through that dungeon.
You will have to go back in there once again one day as there are some exclusive Pokémons that can only be found in that dungeon. IIRC its Chinchou, Relicanth and Lileep.
