[Sweet Dreams]

If "art" is even the proper word, dunno. Here are some things I've done.

Spoiler: Charizard and Kaitii the Umbreon

This was done for a friend, our PokeSonas. He was telling me how as a Charizard he wants to protect and care for his friends, so I used that as the idea to draw myself under him, being "protected" in a way.

Spoiler: Europe the Haxorus

My Haxorus character, Europe. Halfway through colouring this I realised he seems to have Shiny Nidoqueen colours with the blue from reg Nidoqueen, so that right there gave me the idea to include him in with Kaitii's storyline of being labrats. Europe was apart of the "designer Pokemon" section while Kaitii was a part of the "perfect battle Pokemon." When Kaitii went to destroy the lab once and for all, she met Europe and she took him home with her, feeling for his situation. Europe will often try to find berries or anything that stains to cover up his colours, as Kaitii would wear a cape to cover the scar on her back. Because of the testing he went through using Nidoqueen pigments/DNA, he has the tendency to be motherly at times.

They're actually pretty good. What program did you use to draw them? So far, I haven't seen anything yet wherein I could give my critique as they're very nicely done and you have a really nice style in drawing. Hope you post more.

Thank you :3 I used gimp to do these. I draw them on paper, scan, then use the line tool in gimp to make the lineart since I don't have a tablet.

Uhm, you could try more shading, try to decide where your light comes from before you start drawing.

Yeah, I've been trying to work on my shading a lot right now, so far I've been trying to mimic the shading from the official art, as seen in the Haxorus and Honchkrow images.

I usually draw a big yellow blob where I want the light to come from and draw thin lines from it to my drawing so I can see exactly where the light hits it, and afterwards I'll remove the big blob.

I tried that out with my most recent drawing, seemed to work a bit. Though I kinda needed a better choice in the highlight colour since it seems too light.
