Uh huh... interesting question. I found it a bit hard to answer, but I'd have to go with no on this one, because I have a tough time trying to figure out a way to just tack on extra Chimera features like it's as easy as putting on an extra article of clothing. It makes a little more sense if and when you transform, you're done.
Hope that doesn't rain on your parade.
Nah, it didn’t and to be honest, I expected that to be the case. My Chimera will come a little later then, have to settle on the Pokémon she’s morphed with. I also might make an Articuno gijinka later on but for now, here’s something to help the Brotherhood. And yeah, never mind the reserve. I've had the basic idea for this character in my head even before the rp, so I'm done.

Name: Kristofer "Kris" Riveraid
Sex: Male
Age: 32
Side: Stalwart Brotherhood
Race: Human
Description: Kris is only slightly above average in height, standing at around 6’0’’. He is fairly well built but lean, leaving him a bit above average as far as physical prowess goes. He has a somewhat lazy appearance, some stubble covering his lower chin as a result of him not bothering to shave it off. There are some scars scattered across his body, but due to his clothing you most likely won’t know about them. He often has a pleasant, carefree smile in place, and he has the tendency to smile with his eyes closed, or at least squinted to make them appear closed. During the times you do see his eyes, you’ll notice they’re a warm, somewhat comforting brown and usually carry a gentle look. His hair is also brown though a lot darker shade, almost resembling black. His hair is short enough to stay away from his eyes, and oftentimes it’s very messy because while he does take good care of his hygiene, he doesn’t really see the need to bother looking all that neat. From the back his hair is slightly longer, though it still doesn’t reach past the halfway of his neck.
For clothing he wears a long, dark brown trench coat reaching his ankles. It’s rather heavy, but ideal for hiding things under it.
Like a tea set. It has multiple hidden pockets, and God only knows what Kris carries in them. Underneath the coat he wears a regular t-shirt or a polo shirt, depending on the weather, with varying colors. He has on black leather gloves which his sleeves hide halfway, leaving no skin in between exposed. He also wears a fedora, though half the time he keeps it in his hand rather than on his head, really.
He has a belt with clips for his Pokéballs, as well as a sheath for his knife and a holster for his two handguns. Finally, he has on black cargo pants and military boots. Also, no matter where he’s headed, he always carries his violin case with him on his back, next to his hunting rifle. He also often has a small pouch hanging from his belt, carrying both his money and various items for his Pokémon.
Personality: For a professional assassin, Kris is a curious case. When first meeting him and talking with him you would have no idea he kills people for profession; he seems like a very polite albeit laid-back man, with the fondness of classical music and heartfelt musical pieces. And then, when you do find out about what he does, your first instinct will probably be to think his usual demeanor a façade, but in truth, it’s not. That’s really what he’s like.
First of all Kris is very polite to everyone, even to his victims; he might apologize for what he’s about to do for example, and he tries to be chivalrous when possible. Due to his politeness he’s also very honest, thinking that lying would be rude and unnecessary; he doesn’t feel ashamed over anything he does or knows, so what’s the harm in twisting the truth? As such, if you were to ask him what he does for a living, he would smile and calmly tell you he kills people. He’s also known to, for example, tell his victims he came to kill them and then proceed to ask whether or not they’d like to drink one last cup of tea with him or get the deed done right away. He has the philosophy that whatever it is you do, you should enjoy it.
His honesty only extends to things related to himself though, and as such he’s not one to spill the beans about the one who hired him or the plans of the Brotherhood. Not because he’d be particularly loyal, but because that would get him in trouble, and dealing with that would be a pain. He wants things to be easy and isn’t too keen on any extra hassle. He doesn’t really hate the Gijinkas or what they stand for, and so he isn’t really at all passionate when it comes to eliminating them. He was paid to do it, so he does it. Nothing personal. And if he ever felt like being on the other side of the conflict had the potential to prove more fun, he would switch sides in a heartbeat. But, seeing how the Gijinka treat humans, that isn’t too likely right now.
He’s very laid back, and it’s awfully rare to see his face in anything but a smile, like mentioned. He doesn’t like stress, and has decided not to get gray hair over anything. Things will work out in the end and if not, hey he tried and had fun, ‘s all good. It’s difficult to get him down or worried, though he will make sure he doesn’t get killed due to his carefree nature. Death is scaaary. Getting him angry is next to impossible, because he just doesn’t care enough about anything to let it affect him. And that’s the thing about him; he might be polite and fun to talk to, but he doesn’t care about you, even he does “like” you. He simply has absolutely no empathy, and even though he might say otherwise as a joke, he won’t feel bad killing anyone.
What has caused him some trouble in the past is his superiors complaining that he doesn’t take his job seriously. Granted, he might seem like he’s just playing around instead of partaking in a life or death battle, but not being serious doesn’t mean he isn’t doing his best, as hard as it is to believe. Luckily, his skill and efficiency in completing his missions is usually enough to shut everyone up about the complaints.
One last thing you should know is that Kris loves to talk. He loves to chat and meet new people, and will talk to you even if you don’t listen or tell him to scram. He also loves music, and will take a liking to anyone who shares this interest with him. He has a fear of water due to almost drowning on a mission when he was a kid.
Background: Kris was born to two private soldiers, part of a rich Persian Gijinka’s own little army. The Gijinka had around fifty humans under his control, most bought or enslaved when they happened to cross paths with him. Kris’s parents were the same, having attempted to steal food from one of his shops, gotten caught and forced to be part of his own little squad. In other words Kris was pretty much born in slavery, and it was his destiny to become part of the squad and start eliminating those their master deemed “dangerous” – in other words ordinary humans he didn’t like but couldn’t control, or who he believed to harbor malice towards him. And since the man was paranoid as all hell, that category included a lot of people.
Life was hard for a child soldier, but Kris never complained. His parents taught him to always be polite and never complain so as to not get punished. So Kris held his tongue and went along with his parents on missions, at first just observing. But partaking in the massacres going or not, so much death was taking a toll on him; he
was just a child after all. He wasn’t the only child in service eitehr, and one by one every single one of his friends simply went insane from it all. Some killing themselves, some simply dying from sickness and some going on a rampage until they were shot down. But Kris refused to let the same fate befall him. He refused to let it affect him. He knew what the problem was; he cared for the lives of others too much. So logically, should he abandon such emotions, he would be fine, right? Naturally it was easier said than done, but little by little the young kid grew colder emotionally, until he finally just… stopped caring. About anything. But, unlike many others who had lost their ability to feel empathy, he didn’t become a mindless killing machine. He still held onto his parents’ teachings and remained polite. He saw there to be no reason to be mean, it wasn’t like his lack of empathy was the victims’ fault.
Once he became a teen, he found himself striving for change. While killing people didn’t really bother him, it did…
bore him, as cruel as it sounded. It was the same cycle over and over again; find the target, kill it, find the target, kill it, rinse and repeat, and he was sick of it. He had worked hard to make himself have fun during the missions, experimenting with different ways to kill and training the Pokémon he had received from his master to help him on his missions; two birds, Cadenza and Scherzo who were growing up to be amazing fighters, especially together. But now, he was running out of things to do. He wanted to interact with people, but everyone he came across was either a cold-blooded comrade who refused to say a word or a victim he was supposed to kill, not talk to. So, one day he decided to pay a visit to his master, pretty much telling him he was off to find work elsewhere. Now, naturally that didn’t go over well, and so Kris was forced to fight the Gijinka. Luckily for him his master was more a man of wealth than strength, and had not fought an hour in his life. Killing him wasn’t difficult, even for a fifteen year old boy.
Ever since then Kris has been working as a mercenary, doing work for whoever he felt like (which pretty much meant who could not only pay well, but offer an interesting job), but always by his own rules. He caught more Pokémon and built a team for himself, even attempting the Pokémon league. Naturally he lost to a Gijinka, but let it be with a shrug. He reached his personal goal and enjoyed doing it, didn’t really matter if he didn’t walk out with a shiny trophy in hand. He also took a liking to music during his years and started playing a violin.
Despite the sometimes harsh times he has had, he has always found a way to enjoy any situation he’s thrown in. Frowning never did any good to anyone, anyway. One of the things he enjoys is his job, and he has killed humans, Gijinka and Pokémorphs alike, and since he didn’t exactly strive to stay hidden, news of his deeds reached the Brotherhood in no time. They offered him a job and he accepted it, thinking an uprising had the potential to prove most interesting. He has been working for the Brotherhood for a while now.
Hits: Music, tea, socializing
Misses: You’ll be hard pressed to find anything he really “hates”. Well, save for spicy food. The stuff is icky. And water, of course, as he can’t swim.
Other: He’s an experienced sniper, but since he likes to converse with his victims, he prefers shooting them from close range with a pistol instead most of the time.
Pokémon:
Name: Scherzo
Species: Braviary
Gender: Male
Personality/History:Scherzo and Cadenza were the first Pokémon Kris obtained and have been with him ever since he was a kid. The two form his main attacking combo, hitting fast and hard from the skies and leaving many a foe a mess. Out of the two birds, Scherzo is the more controlled one. He’s very loyal towards his trainer and rarely acts on his own unless specifically instructed to do so (or unless Cadenza forces him to; Scherzo is, despite being an experienced fighter, afraid of her). Scherzo is often the one Kris uses for flying, and the bird takes great pride in that fact. He’s very modest however, and isn’t one to brag or make a big number of anything. That goes for getting wounded as well; if he’s told to fight he will do it until instructed to stop, no matter how hurt he or his foe is.
Name: Cadenza
Species: Staraptor
Gender: Female
Personality/History: The other half of his main attacking party Kris obtained when young. Cadenza is a no-nonsense bird with a love for battles and bloodshed. She isn’t exactly vile, but the she loves the rush of fights and the feeling of accomplishment when her prey falls to the ground, limp. She is very competitive and somewhat of a control freak, often commanding Kris’s Pokémon in his stead if need be. She is a proud creature and will not take anyone challenging her position as the team’s second in command lightly. She rarely stops fighting until the foe is utterly unable to continue, sometimes even attacking a few more times after she’s told to stop. She has no respect for the weak, and the only thing she holds respect for is sheer strength. She hates the Gijinka with a passion.
Name: Chorale
Species: Lapras
Gender: Female
Personality/History: Chorale was a Pokémon Kris caught when he realized he needed a water Pokémon to carry him over the oh so scary waters. Naturally he could have used either of his birds to fly him over any huge bodies of water in his way, but he felt more at ease knowing that if he ever were to fall into the ocean on accident or something, he would have a Pokémon saving his a
ss. Chorale is a very kind Pokémon, acting as some sort of a mother hen to the rest of his team. Even though she isn’t a fan of conflict, she’s always there to protect Kris and his team from danger and will not be afraid to get ruthless while doing so if it’s warranted. She loves Kris’s music and can often be found singing along with him.
Name: Adagio
Species: Tyranitar
Gender: Male
Personality/History: Adagio is Kris’s powerhouse and quite easily angered. He often gets in trouble with the rest of his team, but such conflicts are often quickly solved either through the calming words of Chorale, a casual “come on guys, knock it out” from Kris or a quick Close Combat to the face from Cadenza. Adagio is one of the most loyal members of Kris’s team, having been with him ever since he hatched from an egg Kris stole during one of his missions. Hey, wasn’t like its previous owner was taking good care of it anyway! Adagio enjoys showing off his powers but can be rather simple-minded at times, not understanding more complex plans and the like. Not that he needs to. Just tell him what to destroy and he gets right on it.
Name: Sonatina
Species: Gengar
Gender: Female
Personality/History: Mischievous and always ready to mess with the minds of people and Pokémon alike, Sonatina joined Kris’s team after quite a bit of convincing that she would have fun following him. So far, Kris has kept his promise and so, Sonatina remains loyal. She’s all about having fun and ignoring whatever obligations Kris’s team has however, so most of the time her trainer needs to keep her in a ball so as to prevent her from causing too much chaos. Kris originally went looking for a Gastly because he needed a Pokémon to keep his prey from escaping (here’s lookin’ at you Mean Look) but he has found her to have various uses since then. Confusing, inducing sleep and all around driving weaker minded people to the brink of insanity through fear, she can do it all and damn it, she enjoys it too.
Name: Forte
Species: Shinx
Gender: Male
Personality/History: The newest addition to Kris’s party, Forte used to belong to one of the marks Kris killed some years ago. Upon losing its master, the naïve little thing started to follow Kris around, apparently unaware of what had happened. Thinking the cub cute and figuring there could be no harm owning an electric type, Kris took the small Pokémon in. Forte is still young and he hasn't been trained for long, so whenever the opportunity arises, Kris sends him out to gather experience and get stronger. Forte is a very curious cub, always poking his nose everywhere it doesn't belong and not caring about the consequences. He prefers to be outside of his ball whenever possible, as he hates stuffed places and loves fresh air. He’s naïve and friendly to anyone, but his playful yet reckless nature often leaves people with multiple burns from his misdirected electric attacks. Kris has been complained to about the cub various times, but his reaction is always the same; an amused smile and a casual “it’ll grow outta it”, accompanied with a shrug.
