Aura Of Twilight

Forever Clueless
Name: Maria Nicole Rose
Age: 17.
Gender: Female
Legendaries/Legendary: Dream Duo (Darkrai and Cresselia)

Appearance: Maria’s most noticeable trait is the violet hue of her hair, which cascades down into the small her back, straight and healthy. Purple locks fall into her pale face, covering her almond shaped blue eyes that rarely betray the thoughts within, a silver nametag wrapped around her neck. Standing at a medium height of 5’4, Maria is slender and quick, with a high stamina due to being physically active. Typically she wears a light lilac blouse underneath a white coat and mini skirt. Knee tall black hiking boots cover her feet.

Personality: Usually, Maria is pretty calm and focused. She’s quite down to earth, and despite her appearance, isn’t afraid to get down and dirty when need be. Not quick to judge, she also has an empathetic view of the world and is considered mature beyond her years. Perhaps because of her charismatic nature, Maria often finds people flocking to her for advice and opinions, making her a natural born leader, even though she constantly protests otherwise and avoids it as much as possible.

Even so, you’d never expect her to be someone who feels so lost in the world. In fact, she actually feels a constant sense of loneliness that she can never get rid of no matter what she does. But not sure exactly what her heart seems to yearn for; Maria has never told a soul of it. She often wonders if it has something to do with her purpose in life, or if something is missing.

To make things stranger, Maria has never been able to sleep very well, except during the day when she gets the chance, which is rare considering how the world operates. Even so, instead of feeling almost completely drained during the night, she feels so…alive. It’s all rather surreal. How can someone be so awake why the rest of the world sleeps?

History: Maria was born in Sandgem Town in Sinnoh. Her mother was a successful artist and her father a well-known lawyer, so the little family was wealthy and respected highly within the community. Her parents had a nice little house, and since the area wasn’t known for violence, they gave Maria free reign. However, as a child she was quite shy, hesitant, so it was hard for her to make friends. Usually she’d only have Lucy, a buneary that she’d known all her life, to keep her company. It wasn’t until she met Cole, a boy who was about her age, that things began to change.
Unlike Maria, Cole was confident, adventurous, not afraid to speak his mind. His personality caused him to have many friends, yet somehow he still seemed to notice her. Perhaps it was the fact that the two were almost polar opposites which caused them to grow close, eventually becoming best friends. As time passed Maria came more and more out of her shell.

Then, when Maria was eleven years old, Cole suddenly became seriously ill, and just a few months later, passed away in the hospital. Maria was horrified once she learned of her friend’s death. Cole’s parents, knowing how close the two had been, decided to give Maria a silver nametag that their son had often worn. Recognizing it immediately, she began to treat it as a treasure, and somehow, it helped her cope.

Once she had turned 13, Maria went on her journey to take her mind off things. For a few years she merely wandered before eventually deciding to try and aim for the Pokémon League. She even managed to get seven gym badges, but instead of going to get the last one, she opted to train for a few months. Soon afterwards she received the strange letters, and not sure what to think, headed to Ever Grande City.

Other: Maria enjoys taking walks and reading in her spare time.

Pokemon

Name: Lucy
Species: Lopunny
Moves: Sky Uppercut, Bounce, Dizzy Punch, Dig, Mirror Coat
Appearance: Lucy looks the same as any other Lopunny.
Personality: Lucy has a lot of spunk and isn’t afraid to speak her mind when need be. She’s quite stylish, often brushing Maria’s hair until it shines, and making sure her trainer only wears clothes that show curves in all the right places. Lucy is also very persuasive and tricky when it comes to collecting information.
History: A year or so before Maria was born her parents had gotten an egg as a wedding gift that turned out to be a buneray once it hatched. For whatever reason, once Maria had been born the pokemon had decided to protect the infant. As a result, the two grew close. When Maria started her journey, the rabbit pokemon accompanied her. Sometime along the way she evolved into a Lopunny.

Name: Blade
Species: Gabite
Moves: Dragon Claw, Stone Edge, Hone Claws, Sand Storm, Double-edge
Appearance: Instead of the scales on his torso being red, they are black. Other than that Blade looks like a normal Gabite.
Personality: Blade is intelligent, but at the same time very arrogant. He considers himself the strongest of the group and constantly tries to be in the spotlight much to the others of the group dismay. Violent and impulsive, he loves causing destruction on the battlefield.
History: Maria found Blade as a Gabile when she happened to be traveling to Hearthome City.

Name: Max
Species: Houndour
Moves: Bite, Fire Fang, Iron Tail, Double Team, Super Fang
Appearance: Max is just an ordinary Houndour, except that he has golden eyes instead of red ones.
Personality: Max pretty much acts just like a puppy, and often makes Maria laugh because of his antics. Hyper and very innocent, Max loves getting attention, but even so finds himself getting into trouble often. He’s very loyal towards his trainer but still has loads to learn about battling.
History: Maria found Max near Veilstone, starving and lost after being abandoned by his mother and siblings. He had been just a tiny thing, so Maria figured he must have been the runt of the litter, and knowing he’d die otherwise, managed to coax the pokemon to eat some of the pokefood she happened to have at the time. When the little Houndour finished and didn’t run away, Maria simply gathered him in her arms, knowing he was now hers.

Legendries

Species: Cresselia
Moves: Psychic, Moonlight, Aurora Beam, Psycho Cut, Lunar Dance
Personality: Gentle and not a one for violence, Cresselia has taken to Maria quite easily. Knowing that the Holy Warriors are determined to take over the world, she has managed to put aside the past quarrels that she has had with Darkrai so that they can work together as a team. Cresselia still doesn’t like Darkrai much due to his attraction to nightmares and how others suffer because of it, even though he must in order to survive.
Powers: Cresselia gave Maria the ability to have almost super-human reflexes every time the moon makes an appearance in the night sky, causing her to feel the most powerful during the full moon. However, there is a drawback to this ability—Maria loses her powers whenever the moon is covered by clouds and becomes significantly weaker.
The other skill Maria obtained was the ability to heal herself during slumber. She can do the same to others when they are asleep, but on a much smaller scale.

Species: Darkrai
Moves: Dark Void, Dark Pulse, Dream Eater, Quick Attack, Ominous Wind
Personality: Darkrai is a very antisocial being, but is nonetheless devoted to stopping the Holy Warrior’s plot. Unlike Cresselia, he doesn’t hate his counterpart, and more often than not seems lost in thought; or what Cresselia calls “brooding”. He isn’t quite sure what to think of Maria, but he mostly listens to her when need be.
Powers: Like Darkrai, Maria was given the ability to travel through the shadows, but only for a shorter period of time. The second power Maria gained was a dark one; the capability to smother living creatures in darkness with a nightmare regardless if they’re awake or not. Unlike Darkrai however, Maria cannot make these nightmares unending and they eventually wear off.

GalactaKnightisawesome

Team Galactic Fan
Name: Venus

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Legendaries/Legendary: The bird trio (Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres)

Appearance: Venus is about the average height for her age, although she sometimes is considered a bit "shorter" than others. Her hair is dark brown, with some red, blue and yellow highlights. Her long locks reach the top of her eyes, but they don't cover them. Her eyes are hazel, and look like they're staring through people and looking into their souls. Venus's huge eyes take up most of the space on her face, which makes her look, well, like a mini manga person. She wears a light blue hoodie that has a silver zipper, and underneath, she wears dark blue jeans with two pockets on the front and two on the back. All her clothes are the perfect fit on her, since she hates it when her clothes are a size too big or small. She wears white running shoes that have a bit of blue, red and yellow on it, since she feels that she might have to run at any time.

Personality:
Venus is usually a cold and reserved person, but can also be different, depending on the situation. In fact, she changes over time, not instantly. For example, when she was twelve, she was still sinister and cold toward other people, but when she turned sixteen, she became friendly and sincere. From her point of view, she says that she just likes to "change" a lot. So far, she switches between her courageous self, her cold self, and her friendly self. When she's in her courageous mood, she tends to do things that she normally wouldn't do, such as saving wild Pokemon, bungee jumping, etc. But also, this sometimes may be something herotic, like rescuing people or standing up to things she thinks is wrong. When she's her cold self, she basically acts hostile, like a bully, and a bit evil at times. She gives people she doesn't like or doesn't like a lot the cold shoulder, and acts bossy towards people she knows. When she's in her friendly mood, she serves as a person who helps people, does random acts of kindness, and basically the "Ash good guy" kind of stuff. Venus rarely loses her temper when she's in this mood, but she still does.

History: Venus was born in Kanto, in the busy Saffron City, into a wealthy family of scholars. When she was still a child, she developed a strange liking for studying ancient legends. In fact, she would often spend hours a day locked in her room looking at these.

By the time she was twelve, she was already considering taking the studying of legends as her career. But what she was the most interested in was the bird trio, Zapdos, Articuno and Moltres. She was fascinated by the myths and legends that surrounded them, and wanted to find out everything she could about them that nobody else had found before.

However, her hopes were crushed when her parents announced that they would be moving to Snowpoint City, in Sinnoh. Depressed, Venus tried to concentrate on reading about the Sinnoh legends, but she just didn’t seem to like them. Since she was home schooled, she didn’t make any friends, except for her books, whom she thought were the only things she actually trusted other than her relatives.

When Venus turned sixteen, she had changed dramatically. She was now outgoing, thanks to her continuous efforts to try and fit in. She eventually became very popular, was liked by most people. Well, not that popular, but popular enough for her. Then, she started traveling with her pet Eevee (which is now a Leafeon). She battled many gym leaders, and won against most of them, but in the end, she decided that she just didn’t want to be a Pokemon trainer. So, instead, she pursued what she liked most; the study of legends. Venus obviously did that for a few years, enjoying those greatly. But when she received the letter from the bird trio, she knew that she was in for an experience of a lifetime. So, she went and is currently on the way to Evergrande City.

Other: N/A

Name: Aerodactyl

Species: Aerodactyl

Moves:
Ice Fang, Wing Attack, Sky Drop, Rock Slide

Appearance: Aerodacyl looks quite different from others of its species. He has many scars all over his body, probably reminders of previous battles. His tail, in particular, is affected by this. He refuses to tell how he got them, though.

Personality and History:
Aerodactyl is rather hot-headed, being the most arrogant of Venus’s two Pokemon. He tends to try and “stick to the rules” as often as he could, and is…sort of paranoid. Aerodactyl thinks that he has to be called by his species, not some name, or else, well, he starts going on a tantrum and starts destroying almost everything in sight. However, aside from this, he’s also a very loyal Pokemon that is ready to protect Venus with his life. But of course, Venus just thinks that he’s being over reactive.

Venus got Aerodactyl into her party when she was traveling, and happened to get her hands on a fossil. After a while, she found out how to revive it, and eventually did that. She was quite surprised when she saw Aerodactyl, but soon got over her fear of him and now trusts him completely to not eat her.

Name: Leaf

Species: Leafeon

Moves: Razor Leaf, Swords Dance, Leaf Blade, Synthesis

Appearance: Venus’s Leafeon looks almost the same as any other Leafeon, except for one thing. Leaf has a unusual birthmark on the leaf on her forehead that’s in the shape of a star. The color of the birthmark is dark green, which is a little darker than the color of the leaves on her.

Personality and History: Leaf is a rather sweet Pokemon, always being there to comfort people and Pokemon. She almost never loses her temper, except for, perhaps, when she is extremely provoked. Leaf doesn’t prefer to attack, only doing so when necessary. Using words instead of violence is probably what she does best. However, sometimes, her kindness is reserved for only some people, so nobody should really expect to have Leaf to be all happy to some stranger.

Leaf has been with Venus since, well, since Venus turned ten. On her birthday, since her parents didn’t want her to go on a Pokemon journey and study thing instead, they gave her a Pokemon. She immediately named her “Leaf”, since she wanted it to evolve into a Leafeon. When she started to travel, Leaf was pretty excited and decided to go along with her. Now, the two are inseparable.

Species: Zapdos

Moves: Drill Peck, Thunder, Charge, Roost

Personality: Little is known of Zapdos, by humans, of course. But the truth is, he’s a rather civilized Pokemon. He prefers to do things that contribute to his training during his spare time, such as challenging other legendaries to a battle. Fortunately, he knows his limits and doesn’t rush headfirst into things. In difficult situations, he’s described as “loyal” and “brave”. In fact, if you ask him, he’ll say that he’d make a loyal sacrifice any day…but that’s probably one of his weaknesses, too.

Powers:1. Zapdos gifted Venus with the power to not lose her nerve and turn tail and run in tight situations. Well, that doesn’t seem like a power, but it’s valuable for a person like Venus, since her nervousness often messes up her chance of success.
2. Since Zapdos was feeling generous, he also gave her the power to summon/control a bit of lightning. But this power can only work to a certain extent, since if she gets too exhausted doing this, she can actually be fatally wounded from it.

Species: Articuno

Moves:
Blizzard, Hail, AncientPower, Agility

Personality: Articuno is perhaps the cold and calculating one of the bird trio. She’s never been able to trust many living things, and has never been the type for making friends, either. She considers knowledge to be her only friend, unless you count people that are very close to her. That didn’t really help with her popularity amongst Pokemon, either. Whenever people try to lecture her about it, she just shrugs them off, but if you happen to catch her in a bad mood…she’d probably do something worse.

Powers:
1. Articuno granted Venus with the ability to not freeze in the cold. This power has a side affect, however. It makes Venus feel tired and dizzy after a few hours, so this isn’t used that often.
2. Articuno also gave Venus the power to be able to freeze living things. But of course, the thing being frozen has to be smaller than her.

Species: Moltres

Moves: Flamethrower, Fire Spin, Sunny Day, Air Slash

Personality: Moltres is definitely the friendliest of the three birds, being easy to approach and generally has a good temper. Cheering people up and reassuring them seems to be the specialty of Moltres, even though it wasn’t like that a few years ago. “Changed” seems like that right work to describe her current personality from her old one. Moltres now likes to do things that were considered "unrealistic" for her to do before. Like helping random people do their chores, comfort strangers, etc. But she still knows when a situation is too dangerous, so she naturally doesn't comfort people who want to murder or capture her.

Powers: 1. First of all, Moltres gifted Venus with the power to heal people with some of Moltres's special fire. This can only be used in cases of an emergency, and only occasionally.
2. Moltres also gifted Venus with the ability to summon a minature version of fireball storms (raining fireballs) that Moltres can summon. The side effect for this is that Venus won't be able to use this again for another day, so basically, this can only be used once a day.

I'm only reserving you the creation duo, look at the rules. However, that group is reserved.

TylerPhoenix

I'm glad to be back!
Name: Zacharias 'Zak' Phyre
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Legendaries: The Eon Duo (Latias/Latios)

Appearance: Zak, standing at around 6'1", is a lean boy, with a thin but muscular build. He has tanned skin, and curly hair, which is a chocolate brown colour. it flows down to his shoulders in a messy wave. He has piercing brown eyes, and a small, pointed nose. His big grin and slightly longer-than-usual canines gives him a friendly but unusual appearance, especially with his hair curling everywhere, including over an intricately designed Mareep-wool headband he wears, hiding it from view in most areas. His thin appearance is contrasted by the muscles he has, that, despite being small, means he can pack a brutal punch or kick. His shoulders are broad, which often means his clothes are baggy and at least one size too big, despite fitting his shoulders perfectly.

Zak wears a torn and slashed red summer-style top with white patterns across it (think Hawaiian Flowers), and a pair of black 3/4 length jeans, with frayed bottoms. He has a red and black checkered belt which he has attached his PokéBall's to, and various other pieces of equipment, such as a small dagger, ropes and his Pokénav. He wears sweatbands around his wrists, one black and one red, but both are starting to get a little tattered and ruined. His socks go up underneath his 3/4 length's, and are dark red, and he wears black and red Converse's, which are quite scuffed and dirty. His rucksack is torn and battered, with one of the straps restitched. There is a huge gash in one side, which Zak has bandaged up with duct tape. The only truly clean item of clothing he is wearing is his headband, which is in pristine condition, due to it being made by himself from the fur of a particular Mareep from the Hoenn Safari Zone.

Personality: Zak has two clear sides to his personality. On one hand, he is a very friendly and outgoing person, who is cheerful and quite headstrong, often getting himself into a state of injury, though his recklessness and carefree nature. He is often smiling and talking to everyone he knows, and is often seen running through the thick grass, then jumping and shouting in fright when a wild Pokémon jumps out at him. He is caring and giving, and will help anyone he knows who is need. He will often challenge people to battles, not attempting to win, just to enjoy himself and have a good time. he also ends up wrecking his stuff, and having to repair it.

However, there is a much more serious side to Zak. He is able to tell who is trustworthy or not, and is good with the paralinguistic side of psychology, picking up on small movements that can give away the truthfulness of what someone is saying. He often searches for odd paralinguistics when meeting new people, and is cautious. he then becomes protective over himself and his possessions, and angrily defends himself. He is still laid-back, but he becomes very wary of the 'newcomers'. It is also when he is more serious that he takes battle much more personally, and losing is not an option when he is focused.

History: Born in the jungle city of Fortree, Zak grew up running across bridges ten's of feet above the ground, and swinging from branch to branch. His house, despite being small, was perfect for him and his two parents, and Zak spent most of his time either with them, or outdoors. In fact, it was Fortree City, at the age of 10, Zak started his journey. Instead of going to Littleroot Town to meet Professor Birch, Professor Birch was on a trip to the many cities of Hoenn to let Trainer's start in different places in their journey. Zak was thrilled to meet Professor Birch at the Fortree Gym, where he was given his starter Pokémon, and even got to meet Leader Winona, who would be one of his many opponents on his journey. Zak's starter was an Electrike whom he promptly named Fang. He started his journey by beating Winona in a 1vs1 battle. Fang, now Lv9, took on Winona's Swablu, and won. Gaining his badge, and the ability to use the Surf HM (his choice), he chose to travel east, and go in a full circle.

His first trip was to the Safari Zone, where he captured many Pokémon, including a Mareep which he added into his team. The Mareep was named Roo, due to the knowledge of his final evolution. After defeating the Mauville Gym, he headed north, defeating the Lavaridge Gym, getting a pair of Go-Goggles, and capturing a Trapinch named Darter. He then progressed further, beating the Rustboro, Petalburg and Dewford Gyms, and heading west towards Sootopolis, in which he had to challenge three times to beat the Leader, Juan. Finally, he travelled north once more, to Mossdeep Gym. After a long, tough fight, lasting over an hour, Zak claimed his final badge, and returned home to tell his parents of his success. It was Fortree where Zak saw the Tournament and Elite Four fight being advertised. It was then he decided he would enter the tournament and challenge the Elite Four.

Arriving at Ever Grande City, with a team of Manectric, Ampharos, Kabutops, Flygon, Crobat and Blaziken, Zak signed himself up for the tournament. progressing through to the final, he faced a rival of his from Fortree City, and the battle ended in a smokescreen, where, left standing, was Fang the Manectric. he progressed through to face the Elite Four, thinking it would be an easy victory against Sidney, due to his dark preference. Boy, was he wrong. Sidney crushed him likehe was a drinks can, and left Zak feeling crushed himself. He hadn't won the tournament to lose so quickly. He went and trained away from everyone, training in a far corner of Hoenn, besting his training, and then returning home. It was as he was planning to enter the Hoenn Tournament this year that he recieved a letter at Fortree, and was called by his parents to return. He decided to take Blade the Kabutops and Darter the Flygon, alongside his trusted partner Fang.

Other: He's going to need a friend. He'll get lonely XD

Pokémon

Name: Fang

Species: Manectric

Moves: Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Crunch, Howl, Wild Charge, Leer, Ice Fang

Appearance: Fang looks very similar to an ordinary Manectric, minus his slightly longer canines and a darker shade of yellow fur than most.

Personality and History: Fang is an energetic Manectric, with a big grin and a big bite too. He is loyal to Zak, and more than once has dug his fangs into someone who has hurt Zak. He and Zak met when Professor Birch let Zak choose his starter, and has always travelled with Zak since. He also is out of his PokéBall most of the time, walking and running alongside his trainer.

Name: Darter

Species: Flygon

Moves: Sandstorm, Dragon Claw, Dragon Tail, Bug Bite, Earthquake, Outrage, Thunderpunch

Appearance: Darter is a normal Flygon, minus a longer tail and larger wingspan. His 'goggles' are also larger.

Personality and History: Darter is a quiet and caring Flygon, who met Zak as a Trapinch. After a lot of intense training, Zak realised that Darter, now a Vibrava, was not enjoying the intense battling. He battled less, becoming more skilled in his attacks, and developed a caring nature, protecting the rest of the team before himself.

Name: Blade

Species: Kabutops

Moves: Aqua Jet, Slash, Night Slash, Hone Claws, Swords Dance, Stone Edge, Aerial Ace

Appearance: Blade appears to be a normal Kabutops, excluding a very dark brown shell, and yellow eyes.

Personality and History: Blade is a very quiet Kabutops, who rarely speaks or communicates with anyone other than Zak and his other Pokémon. He is very focused, and it seems that his ability to focus so well is linked to his quiet overall attitude. He also is an adamant fighter, determined to win or get his way, whatever the cost may be to himself of his foes. Zak found a Claw Fossil while patrolling the Hoenn Desert, and was asked by a researcher to swap fossils for his Dome Fossil. Zak, loving Kabutops, accepted, and took it to Devon instantly to be revived. Since revival, blade has been a strong and trustworthy Pokémon of Zak's, and has received a lot of praise from many trainers.

Legendary Pokémon

Species: Latias

Moves: Wish, Rest, Recover, Psychic, Mist Ball, Heal Pulse, Dragon Pulse

Personality: Much like she always was, Latias is a carefree and outgoing soul, and has a tendency to end up getting herself and her friends in trouble. However, with such strong healing powers, she naturally cures them and holds off any foe with ease. She is still very fast and agile.

Powers:

Healing Aura - the Trainer she is connected to gains the ability to heal from injury quicker and with less pain, and cancel out disease. This also helps others stay healthy who are around them.

Energy Boost - the Trainer has more energy and stamina than before, making them able to run for longer, and sleep for a lesser amount of time to be rested.

Invisibility - the user can turn invisible for a period of time. However, this drains the users energy quickly. It can only be used in small doses.

Species: Latios
Moves: Dragonbreath, Luster Purge, Recover, Psychic, Dragon Pulse, Heal Pulse
Personality: Latios is more carefree than he once was, knowing now from age that his younger sibling is able to take care of herself. however, he is still wary and cautious of new faces, and has to decide whether to ignore his worries and befriend them, or to reject them completely for small flaws in their personality.
Powers:

Hyperspeed - the Trainer is much faster and agile than an average human.

Hypersense - the Trainer's five senses are much better, meaning it is easier to detect everything around them. They are also aware of a 'sixth sense', which gives them a perception of knowing they are being approached or in danger.

OTHER: Both of the Eon Duo award Zak with the ability to fly. This drains a lot of energy but is very useful and makes travelling very easy.

From Ashes, I Come
So, I've been debating whether or not to join this as this is rather similar to another RP that I signed up for, but I've decided to participate. So, I'd like to reserve Shaymin (as I delayed my decision long enough to have my preferences out-reserved).

EDIT: Ugh, 12 hours late. Weather Trio for me.

Skillfulness

Well-Known Member
Oh gosh I'm sorry it's so long! I can cut back on anything especially Mew's moves and powers.

Name: Marth Kane
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Legendary: Mew

Appearance: Marth looks to be about five feet and seven inches tall and weighs a little above average, around one hundred and twenty pounds. She is very healthy and in shape from the training she does with her Pokemon and her skin always has an even tan from being outside. Her face is oval shaped and a little small and pointy. Her eyes, an emerald green, are deeper in her skull so it looks like she squints when she’s smiling. Her hair is short, really short. It’s longest in the back reaching halfway down her neck and the rest is layered and flippy. There are bangs straight across her forehead too. It’s sandy blonde with some lighter blonde highlights naturally speckled in.

Marth’s clothes are nothing special. She wears a plain pair of blue jeans that sit above her hips and flair a bit at the ends. Up top she wears an emerald green tank top underneath a collared, short sleeved button up. It’s plaid and a bit see-through. The dominant color on it is blue, then green and purple. On her right wrist is a thin brown bracelet that looks to be made out of string. A small gold medallion is attached and reads “faith”. She also wears a small golden cross necklace everywhere she goes. Her footwear varies from plain black flip flops to black sneakers lined with purple. As often as possible, she goes barefoot.

Personality: Marth is a rash and spunky girl. She’s high energy and excitable, and at times, easy to anger. She is the definition of spontaneous and her creativity is incredible. In many a bleak situation, she’s found a crafty way to get out unscathed. It’s easy to make her laugh and she’s easy to get along with, as long as one agrees with her on some basic levels. She likes to have fun and make the atmosphere light and happy. Never one for negativity, she shrinks away when others fight. But, if it’s friends that are not being cool, she might give them a lashing. She’s very relaxed around those she knows and usually polite around new people, but sometimes she gets too excited and makes a fool of herself. Well, maybe frequently.

While Marth is often a bubbly and happy-go-lucky person, the core of who she is is different. She is responsible, loyal, trustworthy, and honorable. She won’t lie or cuss and she can be depended upon for anything, as long as one reminders her. A bit forgetful, but she never lets a friend down and will always stand up for herself and her friends. She believes in fair play and hard work for what you get. Still, she’ll always take the opportunity to be lazy. Marth knows when to take things seriously and stop joking around for a friend. Some others quirks to her character are being sassy on occasion, feeling the need to prove herself to others and be accepted, and insecurity about her friendships. Above all, Marth is a person of faith in Christ.

History: Marth was born in the lovely city of Saffron. Her parents worked with the International Police; a sort of combination between Office Jenny’s and Pokémon Rangers. They helped the community and shut down organized crime. When Marth was two, they had a very important and dangerous mission on Mr. Coronet, so to be safe, her parents sent to the Mahogany Town Orphanage in case anything happened.

Something happened. Marth’s parents never came back. She stayed with the orphanage for eight more years, until she was ten. By then, she was determined to find out what happened to her parents. Her curiosity was too much to handle, so she ran away from the orphanage. Unfortunately, as she ventured to New Bark Town, where she hoped to meet with Professor Elm, she ran into so trouble.

Team Rocket was in the area, hunting wild Pokémon and raiding some vacant houses. When they spotted a little girl on her own, they saw an opportunity for a new future member. So Marth was kidnapped, along with a handful of other kids and Pokémon. While they sat in some cells in and underground hideout, Marth plotted with a few of the older kids, and with help from some of the Pokémon, they were able to escape. One Grow lithe was a great help and she followed Marth as they all ran free. She really wanted to show her appreciation for Marth and so the two became traveling buddies to New Bark Town.

Finally, Marth got to meet Professor Elm. The one thing she remembered as a child was visits to Elm’s place where her parents helped with his research. He was a family friend. When he saw her, there was an immediate recognition and they talked for hours. He told Marth about the mission her parents were sent on and how they never returned. Even when they sent in rescue crews, her parents couldn’t be found. So, Professor Elm offered Marth a position as one of his researchers. He would give her a dated Pokédex and one of his starter Pokémon if she would report to him every one in a while to help his job. Marth agreed and in the back of her mind, she set out to become a part of the International Police like her parents.

For the past seven years, Marth has traversed all the regions to gather data the Professor Elm could use. More importantly, she’s been training to be in the best shape she can be to apply for the International Police when she comes of age. She’s been to many Gyms and won badges, she made friends from all across the regions that she trains with, and she’s also put a wrench in some of the plots of criminal organizations here and there. Marth knows her way around, but even she was surprised to receive Mew’s letter. Reading it through, she knew this would be more important than following her parents’ career and left for Ever Grande City.

Other: When Marth walks, it’s always a little bit on the inside of her feet and she has a habit of rubbing her finger against her thumb when she’s nervous. She’s a big fan of ultimate frisbee and even uses it to train with her Pokémon from time to time. She has a summer birthday and her favorite color is blue. Mexican food is her favorite and she likes cheesy jokes.

Name: Sear
Species: Growlithe
Moves: Flame Wheel, Fire Fang, Take Down, Flamethrower, Crunch
Appearance: Sear has light blue eyes and she wears a Mystic Mater around her neck. It doesn’t really give her any power or anything, but it was a present from Marth and she doesn’t feel right without it.

Personality and History: Sear was the Growlithe that Marth befriended on the day they were both kidnapped. She was a young pup in her pack that was traveling nearby. When she wandered a bit, she suddenly found she was lost and Team Rocket stumbled upon her. After escaping with Marth and the others, she immediately took a liking to the little girl and they she decided she wanted to be with her.

Sear is about as similar to Marth as she could be. Both are adventurous and rowdy. To an extent, Sear is more prideful and thinks highly of herself. She isn’t one to preform menial tasks or things that are below her. Marth is rubbing off on her a bit though and she’s learning to be more humble and kind. Sear is friendly, exciting and a good partner for Marth.

Species: Mew
Moves: Psychic, Ancientpower, Psyshock, Blizzard, Protect, Double Team, Shadow Ball, Sandstorm, Energy Ball, Focus Blast, Will-o-wisp, Substitute

Personality: Since the first incident with the Holy Warriors, Mew has been far more reserved and serious. She is very concerned about the situation and so from now on its no more jokes and fun. On the inside, she’s still a bubbly and happy-go-lucky Pokémon, but recently she’s been more grave and responsible. She’s very big on duty and getting things done, but often she lets things slide because she can’t bring herself to punish anyone.

A small part of Mew is still the fun loving Pokémon she used to be. Around her friends she loves to have a good time and mess around until she remembers the mess the world is in. Then she returns to her sullen mood. Still, she tries to stay lighthearted and kind when “working”. She’s like the substitute teacher that was fun until the principal cracked down on her. Now all the students understand she has to be a little stricter.

Powers:
Telepathy~ Mew granted Marth the ability to communicate with Pokémon and humans through her mind. She can only contact someone within a close range unless she strains to keep a connection as the subject moves farther away. She read thoughts of others or send thoughts or images. The longer she uses it progressively, the more energy it drains from her.

Teleportation~ This power will tire Marth out the most. For a short distance, Marth can disappear and reappear in an instant. If used in succession, she’ll be more wiped out. Usually, she can teleport multiple times before feeling tired because the adrenaline keeps her from noticing her weakness.

Shield~ Mew also gave Marth the power to create psychic shields. Made of pure psychic energy, nothing short of five hyper beams from Mewtwo himself will destroy it. The larger the shield, the more energy she uses up and the easier it is to break. The longer she holds it, same deal.

Psychic Blast~ Marth can send out a wave of psychic energy thanks to Mew. She can either concentrate a powerful blast or send it out in a less powerful wave. As with most of her abilities, if she tries harder and makes it more powerful, she will become more worn out and prone to passing out.

Psychic Resistance~ Mew’s power allows Marth to withstand mental attacks. Things like hypnosis and confusion are subdued and sometimes blocked out completely. The power of resistance and time period depends on her emotional and mental state.

Precognition~ To a certain extent, Marth can predict the attacks of other Pokémon during battle. If Marth is looking at the Pokémon and focused on the battle, she can almost always announce the move they are going to use accurately. Some attacks that look similar will confuse her and she can be wrong if she’s distracted too.
