I was thinking about substitute and how it makes a decoy and how baton pass keeps the stat upgrades for the pokemon that it passes to and i was wondering if you use substitute and then baton pass, will the substitute stay for the new pokemon that was passed to, and if so is the substitue sill 1/4 of the BPer Hitpoints or does it adapt to the new pokemons hitpoints?

i cant believe thast one sentence, although it probably is not.

thank you in advance for those kind enough to manage to take 5 minutes out of the 24 hour days to help out a innocent pedestrain in great need.

If a Pokémon uses Substitute and Baton Passes without it being broken, the Pokémon passed to will have it, but it'll stay with the HP of the last Pokémon, and the HP that the Substitute has remaining. Ex:

(404 HP Vaporeon)
Vaporeon used Substitute!
[Creates a Substitute with 101 HP]

(Random Opponent)
Pidgeot used Sand Attack!

Vaporeon used Baton Pass!
---------------------------
Then let's say an Alakazam was switched in. It would still have the sub, and the sub would survive up to 101 hit points of damage, a quarter of Vaporeon's HP.

Yes, it works perfectly well. I dunno how the others cannot get it to work, but i've done this 100's of times and it's worked every time.

Well, if it doesn't work, who cares, because Ninjask learns Substitute so the combo would look like this:

Ninjask uses Substitute
Ninjask's speed rose because of its power

In the next turns use substitute until you're ready to Baton Pass.
This combo works better if in Single Battle.
Double Battle might mess it up because one Pokemon can destroy the substitute and the other Pokemon can OHKO Ninjask right after substitute is destroyed.

That's my two cents!
