Suicune is a pain in the arse!

Suicune is THE hardest and most annoying shadow pokemon to snag, I've tried it 3 or 4 times and not even an ultra ball can catch in even when it's health is in the red!

Entei and Raikou were easier to catch than this!

Try stuning it when it's in red lives too. Helps too if it's by itself (tried to snag couple of times but Steelix kept killing)

Suicune took up a couple days of my winter break too a couple years back. Try to put her to sleep while she's in red and throw all the greatballs and ultraballs you have.

Remember, patient is virtue (got this somewhere). It's pretty easy to use Ultra Ball on Suicune. I got it on my first try. Took few tries on Raikou/Entei.

Huh? It is the hardest? I always thought of Skarmory and Tyranitar as the hardest in my last record, but in this record, Suicune was very easy for me. It took me just on great ball, I believe. ;o

But yes, patience is a virtue. Either try the master ball trick or just restart however many times you want as long as you saved before you fight Venus. And remember that for everyone and every time you do it, it becomes different percentage of chance.

Did this need to be a thread? Oh well. >_>

well, if you're trying to catch it the first time you meet it (trying to get a good nature/IVs, etc.), then it can be a bit irritating, because you don't have the MBall yet. however, it's not that tough. my usual team at that point in the game is espeon, typhlosion, amphy, and random irrelevant stuff. espeon sweeps away delcatty and bannette away, and typhlosion deals with steelix and vileplume in one hit each. after that, just flame wheel suicune to the yellow, and have espeon put up a Reflect and typhlosion a Sunny Day. send out ampharos to t-wave and light screen, keep using the ball-switching trick with Net Balls (which you can buy at the outskirt stand for 1000, if you already used the one you should've found in the overworld).

it took a while, but i rather like my bold CMCune...

In this case net balls work better than ultra balls, net balls have 3x normal chance of catching it since it's a water type while ultra balls only have 2x normal chance of capturing it. So paralyze it and lower its health to the red zone and then use net balls. Keep trying and don't give up, you will get it one day.

Thanks for the tips guys, I'll take the Net ball advice becuase I have used my master ball on tyranitar (and I have purified it!).

I've finished colosseum twice. The first time Suicune was the only legendary I caught out of Realgam tower. The second time I caught it and Entei out of Realgam so for me it was Raikou, which unfortunatley happens to be my favourite.

Congrats, although for me Suicune was the easiest followed by Raikou and Entei was by far the hardest. :)

I've done it! I have finally snagged all 48 shadow pokemon and now I am working on purifing ;262; Entei, ;243; Raikou, ;227; Skarmory, ;376; Metagross and ;245; Suicune

(I have purified ;227; Skarmory and ;262; Entei)

Heh. I caught Suicune in a Premier Ball.

Raikou was a killer to me, since he could play off Ein's Rain Dance with Thunder even though he was a Shadow. Caught him on the last Ultra Ball---and got a Modest nature to boot.

Suicune > Raikou+Entei

Crystal version is what made me begin to like it u_u

I did it!!
Suicune was a killer though Raikou would always die with one hit so I had to stall while it killed my pokemon one by one.

Suicune wasnt that bad for me.
(Knowing how obsessed I am with Suicune, I was really patient. I didnt give up playing it on my friends GC until I got it.)

I would suggest putting it top sleep and start chucking those ultraballs at it.

Now ENTEI is a different story.
That lil' poo wouldent stay in its Ultra ball. It took me three days to catch it.
