"People often note some unlikely conjunction of events and marvel at the coincidence. Could anything be more wonderfully improbable, they wonder. The answer is Yes. The most amazing coincidence of all would be the complete absence of coincidence.
Everybody is of the opinion that he has no social superiors, since all men are equal, but he does not admit that he has no social inferiors, for, from the time of Jefferson onward, the doctrine that all men are equal applies only upwards, not downwards.
The most savage controversies are those about matters as to which there is no good evidence either way.
Men are born ignorant, not stupid. They are made stupid by education."
The old man sips his coffee.
"But...without education....how can man hope to gain knowledge...how can they...hope to learn things?"
Christian Velsper, a young man of twenty one asks. He slowly lifts the coffee up to his lips, as he slowly sips it with great care so as not to burn his lips. He puts it down as he pauses for a reply.
"Sometimes...it's smarter to learn things thru experiences....through mingling with people....learning by yourself...knowledge can only be gained by learning through experiences. After all...where did these ancient mathematicians learn all those numbers? Methods? They didn't find them from books. They learned it by themselves."
"True....but why would we all struggle to find things on our own when we can simply gain the information we need by reading books?"
"Kid....there are no shortcuts in life." The old man replied as he finishes sipping his coffee. "Thanks for the coffee by the way." The man then slowly stood up as he got ready to leave.
"Wait!" Christian swiftly stands up as he stopped the old man.
"You told me you know where I can find her...and you'll tell me if I get you coffee..."
"You know kid...I prefer virgins above all else."
"Huh?" Christian, unsure of what that reply meant sat down to listen. Perhaps...this is one of those wise old man things....where everything he says has a hidden meaning or something, Christian thought.
"The sweet cry of ecstacy...emerging from the lips of the young woman who has never experienced it before. At first she is shy and unsure...blushing as she asks you what to do. You reply...she blushes as she tells you it's ok. You start to penetrate her....slowly at first...so as not to frighten her. She starts to moan...she starts to shake. You soothe her...."
Christian, ponders as he tries to find the hidden meaning in that.
"...then you start to use your experiences....you take it to a whole new level. The girl...unable to control herself...says the name of her first man...your manhood becomes drenched in her love...your union becomes complete...you wait for a few minutes....and then--"
"Wait a second....umm....how is that supposed to help me find the girl?" Christian asks.
"It won't. I was just telling you how the first time felt....since obviously...you--"
"Ok ok ok...." Christian stops the old man before he can relay the truth. "Anyways...how can I find this girl?"
"I have no idea...."
"But...but....you told me you knew?"
Without an answer the old man departed as swiftly as he appeared.
"Did I just get...."
"Jooped?" The bartender interrupted. "Your not from around here kid...you really can't trust anyone here...but since you've been a good customer tonight...I'll help you."
"REALLY?! Thanks! I need to find....her."
Christian showed the picture of the girl to the bartender. The man, then brought the picture closer to his face. Analyzing it. Looking at every detail he could find. Alas, he shook his head as he returns the picture.
"Never seen her before....she's not from around here. A foreigner maybe? She's really beautiful though...who is she?"
"That's what I'm trying to find out..."
Christian departs the bar as he tries to look for more information.
"I need to find her...."
The young man...wearing a fancy suit seemed out of place among the locals. His long black hair, a symbol of his individuality. His long strides made the local children run along with him. He kneels down as he asks them for information. Sadly...he walked away empty handed.
He returns to the spot at the beach where they first met.
"Where are you....?"
Christian stares at the sunset as he reminisces.
