If anything might disrupt the pacing of the Alola League, it's whatever Guzma has planned since he seemed to be set on ruining the League for everyone because of his vendetta against Kukui-hakase.

Mohn's literally the most boring character from the games!
I'd rather have gotten Dexio/Sina or the Ultra Recon Squad
They put as much effort into making us give a damn as they did with Clefable, whose apparently Lillie's 'best friend'(Yet you never saw them interact before or after.... >.> )
And the fact it's going to be the last arc also doesn't sit well, I'd rather have it be all about Team Rocket's plan and the legendaries they plan to capture. See more of Guzo's character fleshed out... see that's what SM does wrong, all the boring characters like the DJ and granny stick around while the interesting ones like him and Mallow's brother get stuffed in a closet. Dia coming into the main universe to warn them about Guzzlord, or Ash venturing into Ultra Space to find Poipole would have been far more interesting arcs rather than finding some guy who wasn't even mentioned until recently!

Yes, Lillie and Gladion are gonna face off against eachother. Its also gonna be Acerola vs Kiawe. I think Gladion is gonna use Umbreon.
I have to say, this League has been the one where Ash has reached the Top 16 in record time. We know he will defeat Faba, apparently because Meltan will eat Hypno's hypnotizer; so that leaves him (as usual) between the Top 8. Now, to defeat Hau, the only way possible I see it is Rowlet evolving to Dartrix. This would be similar to Ash's Tepig evolving to Pignite against an Emboar.

Oh, well Gladion will win 100%. But Acerola vs Kiawe: Kiawe should win this.I still think Top 4 will be 100% Ash, Gladion and Guzma. Last one I think will be Kiawe.Or maybe they wanna make girl in Top 4, if it's girl than Lana should be.
If it's Lana, then Lana would be fighting Kiawe and win. Ash beat Hau. Gladion beats Mina/Sophocles, Guzma beats Jessie/James or vice versa: Gladion beats Jessie/James, Guzma beats Soph/Mina.

Since Plumeri was defeated rather easily in the match against Ilima, it makes me wonder why she was even involved in the Alola League in the first place. I really hope that the foreshadowing about Guzma's hatred for the League will actually come to fruition with Plumeri and the other Skull-dan members working behind the scenes from now on to put Guzma's plan for revenge into action.

Her main purpose of battling Illima was just to injure his Eevee so that he couldn't use it, she didn't actually care if she won or lost the battle, as the way she sees it even though she lost she accomplish her goal and her winning would have just been a plus. This is most likely why Illima is using his Kangaskhan and not his Eevee in the Top 16 match against Guzma because his Eevee is injured and he wants to give it a rest.

Ash only made the Top 16 in record time because of the whole battle royale system which sped up the pace of the league by cutting down the fodder quickly. That was the part of this league that I was looking forward to the most since we got to see all kinds of characters battle, but it sucks how Kahili didn't make it to the Top 16.

In hindsight, I suppose that I shouldn't have expected Kahili to make it far in the tournament since she only starred in one episode prior to the League, and she didn't seem that powerful as a trainer. But I still think she deserved to make it further than someone like Nariya Okido, who's always been more like a gag character than a serious battler.

It sucks that we didn't see her get eliminated on-screen, same with characters like DJ Leo and the Fishing Expert. For the most part (sans Bourgain's cronies and Pikarla), we saw them flex their muscles against characters we hadn't seen prior to the league.

Kahili got done dirty, she should have advanced. But that explains why they gave Kiawe the Flyinium Z for Charizard instead of the Ghostium Z for Marowak. Acerola was chosen to advance instead of Kahili.

Molayne should have been at the League too, what better pairing for Soph than his own cousin?
