You know considering that the new character has one of the Galar starters being a Scorbunny, while Ash doesn't seem to have one of them one poster I wonder if this means while this new character will be traveling through Galar, Ash will actually be traveling through the all of the regions instead of just Galar?

Looking at the promo poster for the new anime it looks like we are getting a new protagonist along side Ash. looked like a Snorlax and a Charizard, which might well be Ash’s. If he does travel in all the regions, I’d like him to bring back the teams he used in that respective region or at least mix them up. And allow him to catch Pokémon he can train up for the champion league that he didn’t previously catch

I'd rather Ash not get Sirfetch'd.

One I don't know if I like the idea of Ash getting a Normal/Flying (or maybe Galarian Farfetch'd is fighting so maybe that resolves that issue) that evolves into a Fighting type.

Secondly There's already more impressive reveals so far, plus there's Pokemon that hasn't been revealed yet, and I just would prefer to not have Ash's Galar team already be revealed. I want some Pokemon to be of Pokemon we haven't seen. Plus there could be a more interesting fighting type yet to be revealed.

I'm also going with the theory (unless tomorrow provides info that'll debunk it) Ash might get two teams this series: a International Team (made up of pokemon from various regions) and a Galar Team. Both will get at least 5 members each.

The writers have proven they can't handle that many Pokémon at once.

I do hope he gets a regional form this time. He should have gotten Alolan Sandslash, no excuse why he didn't considering literally nobody ended up owning it! And it would have shattered the "Ash can't evolve Pokemon with stones" absurdity. If his Pokemon wants it, he'll do it. Pikachu doesn't evolve because he doesn't want to. Lombre evolved, Shiron might, what's wrong with Ash having a stone evolution? Not like he forces his Pokemon to evolve
Rather it be Obstagoon, Sirfetch, or something else, I hope he gets one.

Except Ash is likely going through all 8 regions, so it's not like before where Ash was just going through the region of the current generation and not going through past regions, so it made sense that his captures could be all pokemon that were introduce from that region becuase he would be currently in that region. However now that we have a situation where he seems to be going through all 8 regions especially if he is going to be in them for multiple episodes it would make more sense for him to either bring back some of his reserves or catch some past gen pokemon.

Because when you really look at Ash going through Kanto-Alola again isn't promoting Sword & Shield, and plus if he gets a capture from those regions it makes more sense for him to capture one of the past gen pokemon that is actually native to those regions. I mean heck the fact that the series just went back to just being called pokemon without any subtext under it, and that it is set in all 8 regions and Ash seems to be traveling through all 8 regions would pretty much imply that while Galar is most likely going to get focus and might get a bit more focus then the other regions, it's not the only focus and the other regions will most likely get more focus then your expecting.

So at this point I think the whole argument that Ash can't get a past gen pokemon that doesn't have a current gen evolution doesn't work anymore. So him having a Galar regional team and having a "international/regional" team does make some amount of sense.

His international team should be his reserved mons, they need more limelight, than some random newly caught mon from previous regions.
