I think Ash will catch this Eevee and it won't evolve in LGPE arc to match LGPE's not evolving Eevee. Once LGPE is done( maybe in league arc) I can see it evolving in new Eevelution.That'd be same with Aipom situation where Ash caught past gen and it evolves into new gen Pokemon.TBH, I miss Pokemon evolving during league.

This is what I think;before the league: Ash catches Eevee and Torracat evolves. During the league: Eevee evolves into new Eevelution. Now, I think writers may pull up Gliscor and make one Pokemon return to be Ash's sixth slot.The highest chance has Greninja, IMO. But I'd cry of joy if it was Primeape( because of LGPE and Primeape is Gen 1 Pokemon).I think Ash will use reserves( mostly Gen 1 Pokemon, like Charizard). I hope Ash gets Mega stone for Charizard from Prof.Oak/Samuel Oak.

Just my two cents:

Eevee being a bit like Ash in some things doesn't mean it will be caught by him (even if I'd love if that was the case; that Eevee is adorable). I mean, Chespin was quite like Ash in some ways, yet it end up with Clemont (and 5 years later, I'm still bitter with it)

Or then another Trainer appears out of nowhere and catches that Eevee. I think that’s a pretty likely way they’ll have to say goodbye to Eevee.

As expected, I can't wait to see what the type will be.
Hoping for one of my dream Eeveelutions(Dragon, Ghost, Poison); Though I'll honestly be happy with most the types available

Lana is a Water specialist, Vaporeon would fit but not some random type. Dewpider is a far better fit for her

I sure hope there's more than one this time; Hated how Sylveon was the one and only one in gen 6. Two is perfectly reasonable as it gives you a choice, don't like one you have the other....

And Primeape deserves a comeback. Him, Goodra, and Greninja all need to return for good.

something that I just thought of. We all know how special the eevee is, so therefore wouldn't the person who catches it (since at this point it doesn't seem like it's going to Ash.) be effected as well?

So if Lana catches it then shouldn't she get more screentime and focus because of it?

Maybe? Though aside from the Seafolk village and evolving Popplio not much else she can do. I doubt she is participating at the league.

Maybe she will, she's the only battler among the SM girls. She also technically has a Lapras the writers seemingly forgot about after the early SM eps.

considering this eevee learns moves equal to it's evolutions, and most of the classmates cover each element, what I could see happening is eevee interacting with a class member for an episode, showcase one of it's moves and then move on to another when it's done.

Lana:Water
Kiawe: Fire
Sophocles: Electric
Mallow: Grass
Lillie: Ice
As for the remaining three...

Gladion: Dark (interaction with umbreon)
Psychic: Faba (no one else uses psychic types)
Fairy: Mina (same as Faba but with Fairys)

I'm just not sure about it being caught by anyone other than Ash, cause having such an important pokemon elevates them above the others and puts them on the same level as Ash in terms of screentime since they would have such an important pokemon on their team, its' not something that could just be ignored.

Gary, May and Serena all had Eevees in previous sagas. It is possible that Lana catches Eevee.

Ash's classmates aren't exactly treated at the same level May and Serena were, as far as Gary and Gladion go their rivals

not to mention the biggest factor, is that this is not your standard eevee, if it gets caught it will likely get attention meaning whoever owns it is going to be getting a lot of focus by extension, this is why i'm not sure about it being caught by a classmate , because if one of them gets it, they will leave the classmates in the dust.

Or just make every battle a 3 vs 3 or 4 vs 4 in the league which wouldn't even be a stretch, since Gladion only has 3 Pokémon, 4 if we think Noivern is his, Kiawe has 3, and Ilima probably has 3 but will be fodder anyway.

If they do 3v3 or 4v4 into the finals that make this league feel even more like it doesn't matter.

And if Ash actually won (he won't) then it would feel like he didn't win for real.
