I beat the Elite Four went to the Battle Tree. I am currently trying to complete my Pokedex for my first Shiny Charm! Getting so close!

    Caught: 273 Seen: 287 90%

I have like 14 Pokemon plus Lunala, Cosmog/Cosmoem, that Necrozma thing and all the the Ultra Beasts left to go!
Been using an Incineroar to train all the Pokemon to evolve and using lots of bred Jangmo-o to get ones off the GTS.

So I've been doing some Wonder Trade the last few days to trade away the Pokémon I've bred for various reasons, and during Wonder Trade today I received a Magearna with Modest nature holding a Gold Bottle Cap, with perfect IVs, an EV spread of 252 HP, 252 Sp. Atk, and 4 Def, and the moves Fleur Cannon, Flash Cannon, Calm Mind, and Dazzling Gleam.

    ...Um, wow.

Today, I swear, will be the day I get those last two Tapus. (It's my birthday, so hopefully the game decides to be nice to me and give them good IVs.) I have put off catching them for too long!

Also, I've been scouring Alola on Stoutland-back to hunt for hidden items. It's proved quite profitable so far (though admittedly it strikes me as weird that there are four Plates hidden just around Hau'oli City), and I've found a few Zygarde Cells while searching, bringing my count up to 96. Once I do find them all, I probably won't make a Power Construct Zygarde, since 1) they can't be separated and 2) I'd have to separate Monarch, one of my current team members, and I'm too attached to him to do that.

(On a semi-related note: you know you're a Pokémon fanatic when you start having dreams about Sun/Moon that involve Gen I-ish Pokémon morph glitches.)

Started my Sun copy, doing an Alolan Form Pokemon run(Minus using Popplio as my Starter). Avoiding going through ever inch of the island and skipping through dialogue since did it already in Moon, obviously the time would be a lot less this time, but I was surprised that it took only about 3.5 hours to get to Hala, whereas I'm pretty sure it took like 12 hours to finish up on the island in Moon, ended up being like 6 hours this time since Hala gave me a lot of trouble, for sure double digits in terms of how many times I battled him, was using Popplio, Grimer, and Pichu, the latter I eventually evolved because Pichu was not able to do anything of worth against Hala and even as Pikachu it ended up being really hard. Ended up needing to all my Pokemon to be Level 15 and even used my Diglett(Level 9) to lower Speed and let me revive Popplio, which left me an unsatisfying victory because I don't like using more Pokemon than my opponent or healing(Let alone reviving), but I just wasn't going to win any other way besides being overleveled.

I remember my Moon experience not being that great either since I didn't realize Rockruff was caught after Hala so I only had two Pokemon and ended up needing to evolve Litten and I think I also evolved Pikipek, so a little overleveled and had less Pokemon but still was tough.

It's most likely genned or edited

But I am surprised, I thought it had an event ribbon which made trading it through Wonder Trade and GTS impossible, does it have that ribbon?

    REMARCABLE Well-Known Member

Finally caught Necrozma in a Beast Ball (this is very difficult to do as Beast Balls are worse than Poke Balls when catching non-Ultra Beasts nevermind a Legendary, it's a huge trophy)

And with that I completed the dex, earned my stamps, got my charm and... that's about it.

Now I can only start working on VGC since there is like nothing left to do in my game, it's pretty much complete save for the Battle Tree.

I had a feeling the Magearna might be hacked, but I wasn't sure how I would tell. Does "genned" mean 'generated?'
After checking, Magearna doesn't have a ribbon. So I guess it probably was hacked.
  10. Kalosian

    Kalosian Never Say Forever

Today, it was time for me to challenge the Pokemon League. Am I really ready for this? I wasn't sure, and I guess the only way to find out was by trying...

Entered and the challenge started. I guess it was me against the four Kahunas. Could choose which order to take them in which is great, decided to go with the same order as I originally battled them in.

So I started with Hala. He is a Fighting-type specialist, so I used Toucannon and Primarina against him. It went well, he turned out to be the easiest of the four. His Crabominable was cool, first time I've seen one in the games.
Continued next with Olivia. Since she uses Rock-types, so I went with Mudsdale against her, with a little help from Tsareena. She wasn't very hard either, but it took a little longer to beat her since Mudsdale is slow and got outrun by her Pokemon.
Next up was Nanu. Since he is a Dark-type user, I decided to go with Kommo-o here since it has the advantage... wait, what? Acerola? What is she doing here? Turns out she was next instead of Nanu. Okay. I wasn't prepared for this. She uses Ghost-types which I don't have any clear advantages against. Anyway, I managed to beat her using Salazzle, Kommo-o and Primarina, but it wasn't easy. Her Dhelmise was cool, first time I saw one.
Finally, I had Hapu left. Since she is a Ground-type user, I decided to with Tsareena and Primarina against her... wait, what? I'm not facing Hapu, but someone else? A girl who looked like she could be a Flying-type specialist, which required a different strategy. She turned out to be Kahili, the legendary golfer-girl I had heard about. And she was a Flying-type user, just like I thought. I managed to beat her with Salazzle and Primarina. Again, not the easiest, but it worked after Primarina got a Sp.att boost from her Mandibuzz's Flatter.

With that, it was over. I had defeated the Elite Four of Alola and become the Champion. But I still had one Trial left. A battle against... him! The man, the myth, the legend: Professor Kukui! I battled him and won, but once more, it was not all easy. I had to use almost all members of my team against him, the only one that I didn't use was Tsareena. I like the battle music, it feels like I have heard some parts of it before... but where? I don't remember. His final Pokemon was also one I should have expected it to be, I was wondering if anyone in the game would use one, and that turned out to be the case.

After beating him, I got to enter the Hall of Fame... I think so, at least, will have to check if it is recorded at the computer or somewhere later on. I got to be the first Champion of Alola, which was celebrated greatly. To me, this is the best acknowledgement the series has ever done of you becoming the Champion. Which isn't too strange since you are the first Champion. I watched all the scenes afterwards, got to battle Tapu Koko in the process. I defeated it since I wasn't prepared for catching it, Lillie hinted that it might re-appear again later on, which turns out to be the case now that I read about it. Glad I was leading with Mudsdale which gave me an easy OHKO. I got a special Z-Crystal after beating it. Lillie left for Kanto, will I ever get to see her again? I sure hope so. Finally, I got to watch the Credits, I liked the photos that they showed during them.

Then it was done. I was back in my house at Route 1 again. Now, it's time for the post-game. What is there to do this time around? We're about to find out. Started a little today. Met Hau and got the two Z-Crystals for the other starters from him. Outside, I met an old man I think I had met before somewhere, he reminded me of someone at least. I got a letter from him, telling me to go to a Motel on Route 8. Went down to Professor Kukui's lab, he gave me a Lucky Egg which will be very useful.

Went to the Motel on Route 8 where I met Looker and his boss... Anabel. Wait, what, since when was she in the international police? And a boss, on top of that? I knew she would re-appear in the games, but not in this way. They told me a bit about Ultra Beasts, Anabel also had to battle me to see if I was worthy of helping them. I managed to beat her, but it was really hard. Probably my hardest battle in the game so far. Her Pokemon was at level 61 while my own were at level 58-59, she managed to beat 4/6 of my team and cause heavy damage to the other two. I was deemed worthy either way, even if it didn't feel so since I almost lost. They gave me the mission to go to Aether Paradise, but I'm going to wait with that for a little while, really need to train a bit more first.

Went to Poni Island, thought I should explore the new areas here to get some more training. But as I was about to go there, Dexio and Sina appeared and stopped me. They talked about Mega Evolution. I had to battle them to see if I was worthy of that as well. Come on! Just let me get around to training my team first! I got to battle Dexio this time. He wasn't as hard as Anabel. Z-Moves VS. Mega Evolution, who would win? My Primarina destroyed his Mega Alakazam with an Oceanic Operetta. For winning, I got the Key Stone and an Alakazite. I'm glad they kept the sound effect for obtaining Mega Stones in this generation. Sina and Dexio left, I guess I'll meet them again. Will also obtain more Mega Stones later on.

Went out to the Poni Grove and started training against wild Pokemon there. Decided to use the Lucky Egg now that I have it. Met a wild Riolu, but failed at catching it. The training here was going a bit slow, so I decided to go to the Battle Buffet since I had heard it gets stronger once you have become the Champion. Went there and got a bit of training done, though it didn't go very well, I only managed to beat 5 trainers. Went back to the Poni Grove and trained further, managed to get the team to level 60. Decided to turn the Exp. Share on again to speed things up a bit. Going to continue with the training for a little bit more before going any further.

I was trying to catch Tapu Fini. The first try I knocked it out by accident. The second try it used Aqua Ring was was extremely annoying so I just got fed up and said "Screw it let's use the Master Ball. Not like I was gonna use it on anything else anyway". So I reset the game (to get back all the Ultra Balls I used), and as the battle was starting I decided to use a Quick Ball first just for good measure, and the Quick Ball actually caught it.

Last night I actually got to battle and beat Red and Blue in the Battle Tree. I tried Singles a bunch of times with no success but then I switched to multi battle and won 35 battles straight. The battle with Red and Blue felt extremely close, but that was mainly because I forgot I'd only used one Pokemon the whole time. He was kinda an idiot at the end...I had Tapu Fini and he had Venusaur but he used Toxic and Leech Seed instead of just using some Grass move. My other pokemon was Incineroar so it doesn't matter I guess.

That's actually much better than I normally do in post game flat level challenges (World Championship, Battle Frontier and such always trap me eternally). Sadly after getting 10 wins in Super and beating Grimsley and Sina I can't get a higher streak than 5 in multi. Thinking I'll try single to get one of the bosses as partners but my max streak in that is 8...

    - So I was given the task of finding Lillie cuz she ended up getting lost again hee hee. I went through Route 3 and caught a wild Crabrawler and went toward the Melemele Meadow. :3
    - I found berries and got my hands on a Red Card and Soothe Bell as well and then when I was at the Melemele Meadow itself, Lillie told me how Nebby was at the other end. ^^;
    - I caught a few pokemon and went to Seaward Cave, but left fast cuz it was mainly full of wild Zubats ha ha. Soon I returned Nebby to Lillie but as I was leaving, Hau showed up again.

Finally decided to move on to the post game events. Since my team was horrendously underleveled, I opted to catch the Guardian Deities rather than training my whole team 10+ levels. They were surprisingly quite easy to catch. After that I beat Dexio with them, Magearna, and Lunala, but it was a surprisingly tough battle even with a team of Legends, which I was quite pleased with. I'll be making my way to the Battle Tree and then returning to Looker and Anabel next! I might box Lunala and/or Magearna and try the post-game with just the Guardians and maybe Lunala (something about that feels right with the story and all, just seems like it would fit). I'm still going to avoid using the Exp. Share at all, so it might be a quite challenging post-game.

So, 6 hours into my Moon adventure and I haven't really done very much or got very far. I think these games have way more cutscenes than any other before. Resetting to get a female Popplio was a time consuming affair, it took about an hour. I want to be able to breed my chosen starter for myself.

So far, I have 6 Pokémon, the other 5 being a Pikipek nicknamed PEKPEK1, my first capture; a Yungoos nicknamed DENTS (those teeth) I surprisingly find their design rather cute, I love refreshing it; a Grubbin; a Magnemite found at the school called GETSCHOOLED and a Pichu caught in Hau'oli City.

I've just reached the part I've been waiting for: Team Skull's dramatic and cool appearance (I have their theme playing as I type this, YEEAAARRRHHH!) Forget beating the Kahunas and this Island Challenge (what is that anyway, I want my badges) I just want to join these street gangsters.

    Enjoying it so far.

    Pokemon Moon:
With the Ghost trial and business in Po Town done, I returned back to the Aether House only to learn from Hau that Plumeria had kidnapped Lillie while I was gone. After a battle with Gladion, I let him take me back to Malie City to head for the Aether Paradise but not before I had my Grand Trial with Nanu. Briefly chose to return to Ula'ula Island to battle any trainers I missed and stock up on items for the battles ahead.

    Pokemon Sun:
Checked out the Poke Pelago where the islands proved to be to comfortable enough for a Driblim and Pyukumuku to decide to stay there permanently. After showing off Pyukumuku's Pokedex entry to a man on Akala Island, I headed for the Aether Paradise to recuse Lillie. After battling past some of its employees, I met up with one of its main officers, Faba. After swiftly beating him, he programmed the elevator to allow access to the lower levels of the Aether Paradise.

Tonight I caught another Totodile by scanning QR Codes. Now I just need Cyndaquil because I caught a Chikorita by scanning QR Codes as well. I caught Totodile and Chikorita back on the first Island. I'm still on the third Island, though. I'll be taking on my next trial soon.

Did a bit more training at the Poni Grove to start with, also managed to catch a Riolu there today. Tried the Battle Buffet once more but it didn't go very well today either, I think I only managed to beat 4 trainers or something. So I went back to the Poni Grove and did the rest of the training there. When I had gotten the entire team to level 64, I felt that it was enough so I stopped there. 64 is a good number. Turned off the Exp. Share and took the Lucky Egg from my team.

Continued with the exploring. Battled the trainers at Poni Grove as well as found some items, the area wasn't very large so there wasn't a lot to explore there. Arrived at the Poni Plains which were considerably larger. Found many items here, battled many trainers and caught a bunch of Pokemon: Miltank, Mandibuzz, Scyther, Hariyama and Primeape. Then I went to the Poni Meadow. There wasn't a lot to do here, but I found a few items and caught this Island's form of Oricorio, the fourth and final one. Also found the Resolution Cave, explored it. Battled the trainers there and found some items. It had the same music as Ten Carat Hill which is great. The bottom floor reminded me of another room in another cave, another game, another life. Will there be something more there later on? I sure hope so.

Left and went to Poni Coast. There wasn't a lot to do there, but I battled a trainer couple and found a few items at least. After that, I arrived at Poni Gauntlet. The last frontier... or at least, the last area in the game. I met Mina again, she was the "boss" trainer here so I have to battle all the other trainers here before I can battle her. Started exploring a little, battled one trainer and looked for Pokemon in the grass, but found nothing new or interesting. Decided to stop there for today, more tomorrow.

I'm starting Sun over today - I traded over my only important Pokemon, Milotic and Magmortar, to my main Moon file to keep them over there.

I think I'll be reviving a character I used for a couple other runs, named Michi. Her planned team so far is going to be Mimikyu, Pyukumuku, Komala, Minior, Sensu Oricorio, and Ribombee, and I'm trying to get together eggs to transfer over now. The only catch is that I'd like to get a shiny Ribombee as her ace, so that might prove to be a challenge.

Currently she's at the bridge on Mahalo Trail, talking to Lillie.
