I tried that but it says I need over 100 Moons to use it. Am I doing something wrong? I’m currently stuck in Mushroom Kingdom.

You have far, far more than 100 moons already, if you're in the Mushroom Kingdom, so I'm not certain what you're seeing. Are you sure it's not telling you that you need 100 more in order to open one of two remaining locations on the map?
