Super Smash Bros. Thread (Read the First Post)

You are cleary talking about Dawn's anime appearance, it's in your sig for fucks sake. And no, we don't need the roster wishlists yet. We don't need people posting why Crash Bandicoot will be in, or why Sora should be. I'm not limiting just other people, I'm limiting myself too. I'd love to start campaigning for Jr. Troopa, but I know part of the reason we had problems in the old threads was flaming from the roster speculation. And this is for everyone DO NOT post roster wishlists.

I'll let you slide since you are new, but you have to know what we had in the old threads, to know I'm not getting close to them. Plus this is Dattebayo, and this is actually intelligent for him. We have had people saying Crash would be in Brawl, saying 4 wouldn't sell due to too much variety, arguments over the words "until now", people posting furry porn, etc. Trust me, the quicker we nip this in the bud the better. If it requires some rough language, so be it.

I wonder if SSB4 will adapt off of Brawl's gameplay engine, or Melee's, or go so far away that it doesn't seems to take after either one of those two.

I'd hope for a few fixes mainly just the slipping. I'm okay with brawl if I could at least turn off slipping.

In all seriousness, I wonder how the two versions will be integrated. Will it just be simple cross-platform multiplayer, or something more? Hopefully we won't have to wait until E3 2012 to find out more, and hopefully it won't be delayed every three months like Brawl.

Glad to see that 4 is in the makings right now.I be that there will be rumors of the characters that would be in the games starting soon.Oops my bad,There have been fan roosters ever since Brawl was released.I`m actual shocked in a way to see that they are gonna make it for multiple platforms.I would not mind seeing a mode on the Wii U version in which the 3DS version could face off with both the Wii U controllers and the 3DS system could be used as controllers.I can`t wait to hear more about the game in the near future.

If Nintendo wants to direct toward a one-player focused game like Sakurai wanted in Brawl, then a story mode is likely.

If it goes the Miyamoto route, and wants it to be predominately multiplayer-focused, with or without competitive impact, then time will be spent on character data and physics refinements than on elaborate story.

I wasn't honestly too fond of Subspace. It sure made it easy to get all the hidden characters, though. Nintendo needs some gd voice acting if they're going to try to make an epic scenario.

I can see them continuing the SSE plot, with the entire thing being a Xantos Gambit by Crazy Hand to elimante the Smashers and Master Hand.

6 month old article quoting Sakurai saying Melee was too difficult to play and any sequels won't be as competitive as it.

I think that say a bit about what the sequels' engines will be like.

Well, possibly. Nintendo seems to want to bring in a larger hardcore market. Retaining a physics engine that a lot of other players of "competitive" games have constantly flaked may prove to be a big negative toward the people they want to help usher in.

Then again, these same players have ridiculed Melee's engine as well, so maybe there is no hope for players who think it can't be competitive if there are platforms on the stages.

Or maybe I'm just talking out of my ***.

If there is a story mode next game, I would like it if the story was split in 3 separate ways. A Team Mario, where Mario is the leader and he meets a select number of Smash characters along the way to the bad guy, a Team Sonic, and maybe a Team Link, or a Team Megaman if he's in, and the teams meet up along the way and fight and whatnot until they join forces at the end.

So it's kinda like a cross between Sonic Heroes and FE: Radiant Dawn, but with the gaming legends as the leaders.

Hmm I actually like the team idea I could see Mario pairing up with Pit,Kirby and Pikachu and Link pairing up with Yoshi like he did in Brawl and some other characters.
