• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

If it's gonna be Radiant Dawn based, shouldn't there be a Team Greil Mercenaries along the way?

You have no idea how much I'd love it if Marth got the boot, and Soren or Micaiah took his place.

/roster speculation

That sounds somewhat like Sonic Heros to me.

woot21 out dawgs

Sonic Heroes in the essence that they are heading toward the same goal and come across different teams and kick the snot out of each other, Radiant Dawn in the essence that along the way, new characters are recruited within the teams and become playable....and they still meet the other teams and kick the snot out of each other.

Trust me, I do. Soren is my favourite character in the entire series (more than Ike, as impossible as that may seem). Of course, the chance of Ike or Marth ever being booted is now zero, given their Japanese popularity.

I would like to see this happen, I liked both Heroes and RD, even with their flaws.

It already is, young padawan.

Should I dare ask what a "padawan" is? xD

I'm sure SSB4 will be released in, like... 2014 or even later. I mean, Brawl was being talked about nearly 3 years before it actually came out, and it kept getting delayed. T_T I also hated the physics mechanic in Brawl, as it made fighting WAY too easy. Melee was faster paced, and you really had to be good to beat people at it.

's also the unnecessary story that was added to Brawl that made it feel sooo.. different. Not to mention the Latin theme song. >.> I just hope SSB4 will turn SSB back into the funny, charming game it used to be when it was first released.

No, because shame on you for not knowing.

It was only ever actually delayed twice. Just felt like more than that.

So for having a largely optional story mode, Brawl was somehow less "funny" and "charming" than past iterations?

A user in that article commented that Sakurai will be ruining his own franchise. I mean, do these guys really want Sakurai to make these titles to be more like Melee's physics resulting in alienating those who have yet to get use to the mechanics? It comments like these make me wonder if Brawl really is the superior title of the three in terms of everything but competitive.

The story wasn't even funny in any way! o_O It was all serious and epic most of the time. But really, just compare the original Smash Bros. to Smash Bros. Brawl. You'll see what I mean. ;)

And not knowing what "padawan" means is a bad thing? T_T

Well I've been missing out on quite a lot, haven't I.

I got bored. The lack of an SSB4 thread for such a long time drove me away from this forum. Yes, the SSB4 thread was what kept me here.

Then I come back, and wouldn't you know it, it still isn't made! Instead we got this thread, talking about the REAL games... how boring...

But whatever. I'll post my mains or something.

This list goes in order from most used to least used. Then I'll make a list of characters I'd almost never use.

1. Ridley/Omega Metroid wut
1. Mr. Game & Watch/Bowser (undecided)
2. King Dedede
3. Lucas
4. Pokémon Trainer
5. Samus (not ZS)
6. Lucario

The following list contains characters I absolutely suck at using and/or would never use in a competitive setting. It will go in a descending order this time.

5. Ness (ironic ain't it)
4. Zero Suit Samus
3. Peach
2. Ice Climbers
1. Olimar

Gee, that sure was lots of fun! I can't wait to see what people have to say in response to my post! :D

No I don't.

The original had classic mode, which you have to every character before facing the mighty Master Hand.

Also, can someone tell me if those users from that Melee article are right about SSB going downhill?

It was also completely optional and minimally integrated with the game's other facets.

Is it at all possible that I have compared the two and still find your assessment of "less funny and charming" to be questionable?

And not knowing what "padawan" means is a bad thing? T_T

Yes. Yes, it is.

OK, apparently we aren't going to see eye-to-eye, so I might as well stop posting and continue stalking.
