Welcome to my sprite showcase thingy!

I made a sprite and i wanted some critique!


It's Lucario with the colors of a charmeleon, the fire of a charmeleon, and the colors of Houndoom and Magcargo shell.

I will make more in the future, I just wanted to introduce one of my sprites.

It's a decent recolour. The fire is a nice touch, but I would suggest using blending colours on Lucario's fist to make it blend in with the fire better. It just looks like it's on top with the black outline. Make more, and show us what you've got. Keep up thw good work.

Good god please don't use red font. It's so hard on the eyes.

In relations to your sprite, it's simple. Serris nailed basically everything needing covered. You could use Iaza to tranparentize it, and remove the white background.

i like your "fire" lucario (I'm guessing) It would be cool to add to the game

Maybe it's me, but «Blue size 24» appears the same as if you where only using capital letter, seems more like shouting than a calm message.

As for your sprite, I think adding more fire on the pokemon would give it a better fire looking. Currently he seems more doing a fire puch than being a fire pokemon, well IMO. Ponyta,Rapidash, Marcago, Infernape, Magmar are example of pokemon you could use is you want to add more «fire type» to your pokemon. There is no need to add much, but I think a bit would help seeing a good retype more than a recolor Lucario.

I added more fire to the Lucario to make him more fiery.

I really like the Swellow/Pidgeot merge - it looks a lot like a brand new regional bird - typical plain, but in a good way

The Yanma/Spinarak and Bulbasaur/Elekid sprites are adorable too

Swellow, Pidgeot looks weird. Its head is too small for its body. Might want to downsize the body. And the first Lucario looked better. The second Lucario looks kinda.... abnormal. The Bulbakid looks good though.

^ Scyther/ Scizor/ Riolu/ Houndoom: I like the idea but here are a few things, Scizor's head is too big, Scyther's scyths don't make it necessarily looking better, same with the Houndoom horns.
Scrafty/ Dragonair/ Azurill (?): It's actually just a Scrafty with Dragonair's head copy-pasted on it (next time c+p it so it fits right), and Azurill (?) tail isn't necessary to make it better so I actually don't really call this a sprite...
