Surskit in Emerald

Ok before any little idiot comes posting to tell me that Surskit isn't in EMerald I was fairly aware of that before this afternoon. However when checking a tv to see if the berry master was about I discovered it was reporting that there was an outbreak of surskit on route 114. Puzzled I wandered over and to my suprise I caught a Surskit. There levels appear to be 14-15 and I know they don't appear in the game otherwise.

So I was wondering what could be the cause. I've linked up my Emerald with Colloseum, XD, Ruby, Leaf Green and Saphire. I mixed records with the Saphire game. I was also playing on a DS not a GBA at the time. So I was wondering is this the first this has happened or have others seen it?

it's happened to me before i think it's from mixing records they cause outbreaks of pokemon, i've had and outbreak of surskit

Yes, I have mixed records with my Saphire-game and had a surskit-outbreak, so I guess it's meant to be that way. I had already traded over a surskit, though, so I didn't really need it. lol!

Surkist is ONLY available in emerald whenever you mix records with a version of ruby or saphire and ONLY in outbreaks.
There was some kind of mistake in the coding of emerald which was supposed to make surskit unavailable to catch in emerald but when linked to it's predessesors would allow for it to be caught in an outbreak.

It seems to have the same effect the othert way around. My brother recently had a Seedot outbreak in his Sapphire!

14. Q: Hey! Surskit's not supposed to be in this game! What gives?

A: No, it's not. But there seems to be a glitch where, if you mix records with R/S, you can get a "swarm" of them on a certain Route, just like you can in R/S. Just go with it. It's a good thing.
