Swellow or Altaria?

I wanted to know the answer for reasons of my own, so I've decided to make a poll.

So which bird is better, is it either Swellow the 'my type combination has been used so many times it's not funny anymore' Pokemon, or Altaria the 'this is why you should never mix a sheep and an ostrich with cholera together in a blender' Pokemon?

Of course Swellow is better, Facade + Poison + Guts + Choice band + Helping hand + STAB =

(Assuming you´re in a double battle which is easier to get Poisoned, plus you get the Helping Hand bonus)

Normal/Flying is perfect for it!

Looking:
Swellow > Altaria

Creativity:
Altaria >= Swellow

Battling:
Swellow > Altaria

Also Swellow is the fastest bird Pokémon.

Altaria. It has more uniqueness to offer unlike Swellow who is basically a mini-Dodrio, like most other Normal/Flyings.

Mwar, I'm torn between the two actually. Ever since a...certain pic [and a realisation of an affinity for all avians, not just avian reptiles XD;] I've liked Swellow alot, but Altaria is very nice too; beauty, awesome voice, graceful, a Dragon...Swellow too, standard bird reasons o.=.o;

Battle-wise...I've never had the patience ta train a Swablu to evolution, but Swellow I used once; the speed is very good indeed, and the power, of course her defense is low...mufufufufufufu...X3333333...yeah o.=.o;

Battle-wise, very good Sp.Defense Altaria, tch, and with an erratic Growth rate they learn so fast... ^.===.^

altarias stats are better and its dragonic. even though some moves it has are kindof useless like how it has the trait natural cure but it still learns refresh and safegaurd.swellow is fast but its defenses arnt as good as altarias.
OT:why do all the fastest pokemon learn agility???

I prefer Swellow both battle and looks-wise, so...(although Altaria's TCG art is far superior for LJ icons. *huggles my "soar" icon on LJ*)

Altaria's fluffy and all that, but overall it's just...eh. I liked Swablu better, to tell the truth. :<

Altaria is just so much better looking than Swellow, I just wish Altaria had better sprites.

Creativity: Altaria over Swellow
Swellow is pretty bland overall were Altaria is very unqiue overall.

Battling: Altaria over Swellow
Altaria is part Dragon and that makes better for battling than Swellow in my book.
