System sending to nintendo to fix

i'm sending my sp to nintendo to fix (get the dust out of the screen) and i was woundering, do you need to give them the identiy code thing on the bottom cause mine kinda rubbed off....also(i live in canada if that helps) were do i get nintendo's address, or the address of were i'm supposed o send it? and do i need to send an explination why i sent it?(probobly)

Check there. Call them up first to find out if you're able to send it to them, and if you are ask for an address there and then. ^_^
