T.V. help

Sometimes at certain times and on alot of the most common channels, a black box appears and sometimes it's blank, has some giberish text in it and sometimes(usually on channel 8 when 8 Simple Rules is on at 4:30 P.M. when I'm waiting for The Simpsons to air)a black box appears and says <HTTP:// default browser> over and over again. It did this when pokemon was on at 10:00 A.M. yesterday!! I know, I was so mad! *sigh* It was even the Grand Festival episode. Does any body know what I can do to fix this? by the way, it is a Memorex 19" black T.V. like the ones at school and doesn't do this when I'm playing my GameCube and didn't do this when I used to have a DVD Player. It has been doing this for a while.

You might have closed captioning on. Turn it off using your TV settings.

If it's usually only on one channel than it's probably the station's fault.

Check the closed captioning settings. A few years back I saw an issue like this and it was that a toddler had been randomly pushing buttons on the TV and enabled something like Closed Captioning #4 and next thing you know there's a black box on the screen after a few seconds.
