Ok... here is the strategy update I promised you... I've been busy. I should also add that this team was not constructed by me, but I have full power to edit and change it and full permission by the original owner to use it.
Meatwad(Forretress)Male@Leftovers
Spikes
Rapid Spin
Reflect
Explosion
Spikes, screens, spins, m00bs. Nothing else needs to be said here.
Switch Nao!(Umbreon)Female@Leftovers
Charm
Toxic
Mean Look
Rest
Charm on the swtich to Skarm/Steelix/phazer. Play mind games. Toss out Toxic. Then nail Mean Look. Typhlosion is walled too badly by a Resting Water type, and didn't serve me well. So in comes my special wall in Charmbreon. The steller defenses makes it a nice heft lil wall for me to hide behind. Charm shuts down Cursers and standalone sweepers. Toxic because Umbreon does it well. Rest is like, no duh. And Mean Look because I actually have success pulling off Toxitrapping. Especially with Charm and Rest. My HP Legend counter. Usefulness: 4/5 **** I rely on her to take a crap load of abuse for my team to keep my in the ball game. I should re nickname her "Martyr" The sheer fact I rely on it to take hits so much makes it a crucial member of my team. Unless I can pull off Toxictrap, it just forces another switch for me so while I use it alot, it can't actually reliably take a threat out, just stop it.
Just try me(Rhydon)M@Leftovers
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Roar
Counter
Rhydon is a monster. It's that simple. Packing the strongest Earthquake in the game and iirc second strongest Rock Slide, the dual STAB means there pretty much ain't squat that can truly switch in on Rhydon without abuse. I've had him since day one. Electric immunity and Normal/Poison/Flying resist makes it easy to slide him into the battle. And the enemy can switch and get Roared, stay in and get whacked, switch into a Rock Slide to the face, it's just a beast. The onset of HP Legends now means I can't rely 100% on Umbreon. So, this evening I put Counter on before a match. Cloy vs Zap. My first guess is Rhydon to take Thunder/bolt/Drill Peck. Since that's what people are using right now. I pull in Umbreon to shrug off an HP. Phew. Later on I push Don out against a Thunderbolt and Counter HP to knock Zapdos out. Now not even HP Legends can really stop this team. Usefulness: 4/5 **** Hardest hitter, best psuedo-phazer(As in "Oh crap Rhydon vs Gengar. SWITCH" or "Dang, Rhydon vs Blissey! Run!")
Powerdrill(Skarmory)F@Mint Berry
Thief
Toxic
Rest
Whirlwind
Good things don't change. Usefulness: 4/5 **** Physical Wall, status inducer, stealer, phazer. All in one.
Got Bork?(Miltank)@Leftovers
Earthquake
Frustration
Heal Bell
Milkdrink
It works. Does what I need it to. Though rare, I will need that Heal Bell so she stays. Usefulness: 2/5 ** Stays because HB is too valuble to this team to be without even for one match.
misJ(Suicune)@Leftovers
Roar
Rest
Surf
Toxic
Together with Rhydon and Skamory, they form the 2nd best most reliable Snorlax counter. Together the three shuts down anything Snorlax does, Drumming, Cursing, Fire Blast, even Selfdestruct. Similar role to Umbreon with actual Phazing over Charm though. Usefulness: 3/5 *** Typing and defenses make it one of my sheilds, with its Surf being a decent yet unremarkable method for stand alone attack.
Over all, I believe this team is something to take seriously. I've torn apart opponents with TP 83% before. Team Cycline, btw, is TP 75%. It can effectively shut down the most popular and powerful threats out in the metagame today. That means Snorlax, Marrowak, Charizard, Tentacruel, Zapdos, Raikou, and such find it too difficult to wear down my team before theirs is destroyed.
Ok, thats it. Feel free to tear it apart. Keep in mind that I'm also THINKING of making Cune go Atma style and switching out Miltank for Gengar.
