Team for Emerald

Here's the team I have in mind for emerald, I really need suggestions for a more balanced out team. So, here it is.

Typhlosion, Timid, Lum Berry
Flamethrower
Thunderpunch
Focus Punch
Substitute

Groudon, Jolly, Leftovers
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Overheat
Swords Dance

Slaking, Adamant, Choice Band
Double-Edge
Shadow Ball
Earhquake
Aerial Ace

Milotic, Bold, Leftovers
Surf
Ice Beam
Recover
Toxic

Latios, Timid, Soul Dew
Dragon Claw
Thunderbolt
Surf
Calm Mind

Metagross, Adamant, Choice Band
Shadow Ball
Sludge Bomb
Meteor Mash
Earthquake


Okay, the first things that you probably notice wrong with this team is:
1. Repetitive Items
2.Movesets for the pokemon

I'm pretty sure you know how to use the sets. So, go on. Rate it.

The SubFocus is good, another set to better cover your weaknesses could be...

Flamethrower

HP Flying/Grass/Water
Sunny Day/Thunderpunch

Groudon, Jolly, Leftovers
Rock Slide/Brick Break
Earthquake
Overheat
Swords Dance/Bulk Up

Groudon's blessed with high Attack and Defense, so Bulk Up could be used to tank as well as boost your Attack. Earthquake and Overheat work well with STAB, and Brick Break is good for another physical attack.

Slaking, Adamant, Choice Band
Double-Edge
Shadow Ball
Earhquake
Aerial Ace

Not much to say here, perhaps you could fir Focus Punch in there somewhere...maybe instead of Aerial Ace.

SPN said it pretty well for the first three, so, so as to not be repetitive, I'll only do the last few with the note that the Sub-Punching Typhlosion set that you use gives you the best type coverage.

In a word: yes! Some people prefer Hypnosis over Toxic, but with Milotic's staying power and especially a Bold nature Milotic will stick around enough to reap the benefits of Toxic.

LATIOS @ Soul Dew
Recover
Thunderbolt
Surf / Ice Beam
Calm Mind

Dragon Claw has no resistances, but it's only effective on one type- which, half the time, it won't hurt much, especially based off of a Timid nature. Recover is pretty much de rigeur for both Lati_s. You could go Ice Beam over Surf as a Dragon counter.

METAGROSS @ Choice Band
Unless I miss my guess, your Metagross set is standard.

Your team covers its own bases quite well.

Put explode on gross over shadow ball.

Fire Blast is an option over Flamethrower

You should have at least one more tank besides Milotic.

With a Timid nature? I'm not trying to attack you, but I'm curious to see if you have basis for this statement. It would be wonderful if a Timid Latios could pull that off but I'm not sure that it's capable. Do you have experience with such Latios or calculations to back that up? Because if this actually works, I'll definitely be restructuring my team...

it is1 i have a timid latias and it pulls offa dragonclaw just fine

maybe you could try for HP grass, it covers all of it's weaknesses

i'm not sure, but is overheat better than eruption?
