Team For Pokemon Emerald

4th Generation Master

Well-Known Member
This is the team I use for re-matches against gym leaders and Elite Four, and the Battle Frontier. I also use it to battle my friends. Some places in the Battle Frontier don't allow legendaries, but some also only allow three Pokemon, so it is good as I have three legendaries and three non-legendaries.

If you consider legendaries to be cheap and will criticize my team about that, do not come here. I don't mind criticism, as long as it isn't about legendaries being cheap.

So please rate it and if you consider it to be a bad team, say why so I can improve it.

Blaziken lvl 82 w/Aspear Berry

Kyogre lvl 70 w/Chesto Berry

Slash Rock Slide
Sky Uppercut Good.

Kyogre lvl 70 w/Shell Bell or Lefties

Thunder Good.
Double Edge Calm Mind

Groudon lvl 70 w/Salac Berry, Shell Bell, White Herb(if u use BP Umby)

Fire Blast Swords Dance (or Aerial Ace if u go with Baton Pass Umbreon)
Rest Earthquake
Overheat (Good, but try to get Hidden Power Bug with at least Base 60 Power)
Solar Beam Brick Break

Rayquaza lvl 70 w/Salac Berry
Timid/Modest
Fly Flamethrower
Rest Ice Beam
Extreme Speed Thunderbolt
Dragon Claw Good.

OR
Rayquaza lvl 70 w/Salac Berry
Jolly/Modest
Aerial Ace
Earthquake
Extremespeed/Return
Dragon Dance

^I suggest this set.

Umbreon lvl 80 w/ Leftovers

Psychic Mean Look
Moonlight Baton Pass
Confuse Ray Curse
Faint Attack Taunt

Espeon lvl 73 w/Brightpowder
Modest
Attract Calm Mind
Return Baton Pass
Psychic
Morning Sun

Only thing u need to know is, this is a single battle set. If u use Baton Pass Umby, just Curse to the max, and Baton Pass to Groudon. Please make Groudon hold the White Herb if Umby Baton Passes to him. If he/she tries to use Whirlwind or Roar, or something else that causes you to not use Curse, just use Taunt when you think he/she will use it. You can also put Hidden Power Fire on Espeon, but make sure the Base Power is at least 60. Also, I didn't put EVs, I assume u don't know what they are. And, obviously, train them all to lvl 100.

Edit: Oh, and Espeon can Baton Pass to Kyogre or Blaziken. If u use Special Rayquaza, u can Baton Pass to it too. But if u use Physical Rayquaza, don't Baton Pass ANYONE to him.

Leftovers...good idea, but Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza need sleep-curing berries for when they use Rest.

I can't choose the Nature. I must use the Nature they already have. I raised Blaziken through 77 levels taking an entire two years on Sapphire, where it came from, spent another year raising Umbreon and Espeon on Colosseum to their current levels of 73 and 80. I had to get through the whole came to unlock the cave where Kyogre and Groudon were, and don't get me started on trying to get through the Sky Pillar to Rayquaza, even with the Mach Bike. Not the mention I used Ultra Balls to catch Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza, saving my Master Ball for Latia/os.

Everyone agrees that Blaziken's Sky Uppercut, Kyogre's Thunder, and Rayquaza's Dragon Claw are okay. This is good. But before I look at the other comments and make changes based on them, I will tell you the Natures that they have that cannot be changed.

Blaziken - Lax
Kyogre - Lonely
Groudon - Adamant
Rayquaza - Serious
Umbreon - Hasty
Espeon - Serious

Thanks for helping!

Wait a minute I just saw some Nature thread...how do you change Natures?

Oh yes, so I was right. You can't change natures. I can't breed Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza because they are legendaries, and Blaziken. Umbreon, and Espeon are male, so if I bred the, they would come out as whatever I bred them with.

Use Ditto until u get a female.

Completely explain to me Ditto's effects in breeding. If I bred Ditto with a male, wouldn't I just get a baby Ditto?

Ditto can breed with any pokemon non-legendary. When breeding with it, the egg will be of the 'normal pokemon'. So if you are bredding a ditto and a charizard (even if it is male), you will get a charmander egg. It can breed with starmie and co. In emerald, if the ditto is holding an everstone, the baby of the female 'normal' pokemon has a 50% chance of inheriting the ditto's nature. useful if you want to get a good anture {ie bold chansey} fats. This might work for all pokemon, I'm not entirely sure.
