I admit, this is a little more advertising than requesting for comments, but I would very much appreciate comments for improving the site, as long as they're feasible and not immediately obvious or out of my control such as "get 4000 pages of fresh content".

Well, I'll give a little intro before you visit. The site has been around since April 2006, and has satisfied quite a few hungry Team Magma fans, or at least that's what my sources tell me. It's based solely on Team Magma, it's members, etc. with no focus on retelling Anime episodes in which Team Magma appears, since that data is available elsewhere. This site does not belong to me completely - the site team - Sinthirster, Twitch, FireHead Hank and myself have split the work amongst ourselves, but I "founded" the site, therefore I have the right to showcase it here without breaking rule #3.

We have improvement in mind, sections such as a complete MagmaDex, Team Magma Image Resources for spriters and banner-designers are coming soon, but there have been very few visitors over the last few weeks (perhaps because we're all buried with work in our lives), so the site could do with a jump-start (cables, anyone?).

The Magma cursors section is the newest addition, you might find it interesting. The link can be found under the "other" category.

Improvement suggestions are welcome, and please make them concrete and to-the-point if you're going to give an analysis of the site. Please be as (constructively) critical as you want, it's what this site showcasing is for.

Your site is a lot better than most I've seen on this forum, mainly because you've actually got a nice starting amount of content and a readable layout.

There's one thing I want to suggest. I'm guessing pages in your Art section will grow quite large. You should add a "Back to top" link at the bottom of those pages, and any other pages you think would need it in the future. I'm only suggesting this because all of your content links are placed at the top. It would give visitor more accessibility with a "Back to top" link, or at least another set of links at the bottom. If you want to add them at the bottom, don't use images like the ones at the top, because that takes focus off your main content. I suggest something like "Contact | About us | Privacy | Sitemap" placed at the bottom, except with your "Home | News | Art | etc."

Do people read this?
Your site is actually very good for ones that I see posted up anywhere I go. But what somewhat bothers me is that the banner is red while the layout is orange, maybe it would be better if it had a overlay of the color orange so it could match a lil bit more with the site.

Also, unless your planing to add on more buttons to the navigation you might want to center it to the page.

Well, with a lil more advertising you can have something big.

Thank you for taking the time to write that, I've found it very informative.

nabt, I agree with you, a "back to the top" link sounds good. I usually don't place links to "home" or "back" at the bottom of the pages since they're not needed when most of the pages are only 1 page high (or I forget). But you're right, some sections have extended a long way down your browser window, so it's annoying to scroll back up to the top. I'll add this as soon as possible. I think the bottom-of-the-page navigation you mentioned isn't particularly useful on all the pages at this moment, but I'll definitely keep it in mind for the future.

Dark_Dragonite, thanks! The banner is currently Groudon-themed, which means more reds than oranges or browns. Before this one, there was a Camerupt-Numel banner which was colored in hues of orange. I think it's actually sort of refreshing, the current red one. But I am planning on changing it soon anyway, so ... heh.

The navigation is off-center because the final space is reserved for the MagmaDex button, once it is completed. After this, the images will be scaled slightly to take up exactly 720px, because no more big sections are planned after this. Most other stuff will fit under the other categories. I think centering the navbar and leaving leading and trailing spaces wouldn't be a good thing to do, but that's just me.

I remember you.

I like your site very much, it has great resources and a nice layout, I like how you did the bios.

Thanks, Dark Dragonite! Yeah, I remember you too. You're an admin at the Team Magma Club, aren't you?

The Biographies section is the one everyone likes and visits the most, apparently.

Your site has a very clean layout, nice content, and all other good things. However, there is a slight error on Brody's biography; it says "Info:info:" rather than just "Info:". Otherwise, it's a great site.

Thanks Crepuscular! I've fixed the errors you pointed out, thanks for spotting that!

By the way, I've applied a special style ("Christmas ice edition") so it won't match the forums for now. The old style will be back, though, and this is the new (highly uncharacteristic for Team Magma, but highly festive-spirit) banner I mentioned.

Don't mind the snow, it isn't from DynamicDrive.com and I simply love Javascript snow, it reminds me of times long past... ^^ ... (ignore me, this is a private reminiscence which you can't understand anyway - hint: it has something to do with the KDP)

You're welcome, Magma Leader Maxie.

In your new complaining about the snow page, you misspell the word "writing" - you spell it "writting".

Also, on your storm page, first paragraph you spell the word "amount" as "ammount". On the same page, in your favourite computer programs list, you spell "Mozilla" as "Mozzila".

With your new Christmas Ice style, when a menu comes down, it doesn't match the rest of the style. Perhaps you could change it so it does?

Well spotted Crepuscular! I've corrected that which you have listed.

With your new Christmas Ice style, when a menu comes down, it doesn't match the rest of the style. Perhaps you could change it so it does?
You mean you don't like the gray background, or you get some kind of error?

I didn't even think to change the colouring of the links and menu backgrounds because I automatically thought "gray goes well with anything".

But if you think it should be a different colour, I sort of agree, this can be easily arranged.

No, not an error, simply the fact that its grey. Yeah, grey does go well with anything, but very light blue would just make it seem more icy and fitting with the style.

Yes, the menu fits the style a lot better, now, making your style consistent.

Time for me to strike again. :D

On your about us page, you misspell the word "amount" as "ammount", and "existence" as "existance".

Also, justifying the text (align:justify) may make your paragraphs look nicer by getting rid of the rugged right edge.

Excellent, I would have never noticed these errors. Thanks again for bringing it to my attention.

Justifying the text can be glitchy (browser differences) and often results in poor readability on web documents, but I have done this for now, to try it out. If anyone complains or if I see that it doesn't work well, I'll drop it.

You must have a thorough understanding of Team Magma now that you have read through all the pages about this marvelous organization XD

Yes, I've grown quite fond of Team Magma, thanks to your site. The justified text looks a lot nicer and cleaner than the rugged right edge text.

With browser problems, out of curiosity, which ones can't handle it? It works fine in both IE and FF. o.o

Hehe... this is wonderful ^^, after all what's happened today I'm extra-proud of being the webmaster of this site.

Well, older versions of Explorer don't know how to handle this kind of alignment, so they sort of "justify" it across the width of the window instead of the width of their containing element (text goes right across the page). Or, when IE considers a word to be "splittable", the browser may leave extra space inside the word between the parts. This in particular means that a word containing a hyphen is erroneously processed as if there were a space after the hyphen, resulting in stupid extra spacing errors. Explorer also sometimes adds too much padding between words because it somehow thinks it has a right to do this (evil Microsoft programmers).

Netscape breaks the underlining of words (as in links) and sometimes justifies the last line in the paragraph, which of course is not the point of justifying text.

Naturally, Mozilla has no problems. Opera is fine with this too I think.

I actually read a highly informative article about this problem some time ago, but I don't remember what site it was on. These are the ones I remember, but there are other problems with this, I think.
