Team Plans in General

What do you plan to be your final HG/SS team? For me I want to resurrect my silver team:

Typholosion
Ampharos
Umbreon
Lugia
Snorlax
Tyranitar

May not be the greatest but it worked.

I was thinking of a standard-ish team:

Meganium
Noctowl
Ampharos
Tyranitar

Get's good type coverage and they're all 2nd Gen.

Every game I like to go through with Pokemon I haven't really trained before, and are from that Generation. So, for this I'm going to use all Gen II Pokemon.

I really have no clue what I used in my original Gold, as I honestly didn't play it that much. I'll probably end up playing this more, lol.

1.Totodile -> Croconaw -> Feraligatr

2. HootHoot -> Noctowl

3. Ledyba -> Ledian (too bad it sucks, lol).
Or, if 4th Gen Evos are Pre-E4
Yanma -> Yanmega

4. Slugma -> Magcargo

5. Sunkern -> Sunflora

6. Depending on if they have new evos pre-E4, I'll probably use Misdreavus or Piloswine. If not, probably go with Sudowoodo.

So basically the starter triangle, although not all starters. A bird, a bug, and a random member. A traditional team sort of.

I have these three in mind so far.

Skarmory (for this reason, I might end up with SoulSilver)

I'm kinda trying to decide which Fire Type to get, Houndoom or Magcargo? Magcargo was pretty useful when I had it on my Ruby Team. It could cause Sleep (through Yawn) and has powerful moves (Rock Slide and Fire Blast). Houndoom has that Dark thing going on though, and it's cool.

For my Grass type, I dunno. I've never trained a Hoppip but they're so worthless. Maybe I'll try Victreebel.

#6 could be anything really. If Smoochum hatches out of the Odd Egg (assuming it's retained) I'll keep it in my permanent roster and evolve it to Jynx. I'm also thinking about Donphan since it might be SoulSilver exclusive.

My team: Any Pokemon that is worthy of being in my party.

So basically anything EV trained.

Definitely Feraligatr and Furret. As for the others, I'm not too sure. I might go with Pidgeot again, but I've been considering Noctowl. I might go with Ampharos too... and perhaps Dunsparce.

It really just depends on what kind of Pokedex the new games will have. If it's like the originals, then that's #1-251... but there's a chance they might make a specialized Johto Dex... :/

This might change, but upon hearing of the remakes I thought I would go with something like this for my team:

- Meganium
- Ampharos
- Golem
- Wigglytuff
- Umbreon / Espeon
- Pidgeot

The Golem may be bumped off for a water pokémon, Quagsire, depending on how vital it is for surfing through the game. And, there is also a chance that I'll start with Totodile, in which case I will swap out the Golem for an Oddish and shall evolve it based on whatever stone I get my hands on first . . .

I am sort of remaking my old Silver Team. I always made a point to catch a Jigglypuff and a Geodude from the route above the first one you go through - the one that you couldn't climb because there was a ledge. And back in the good old days I was also an Eevee-addict, liked Oddish, and I want to raise another Pidgeot.

Uh... These teams are all great. Mine is suckish but it's made of my favorites(Except mawile i wish) any way mine will be
Meganium- i always go wit chikorita
Ledian- Great sp. defense. i plan to teach it fighting and bug moves
Ampharos- I want to teach it power gem, discharge, fire punch and ice punch(hoping 4 move tutor )
Nidoqueen- more defensive than nidoking. gonna teach it surf, a poison move, earthquake nd sum other thing
Jumpluff- this is my 2nd favorite. gonna teach it toxic, bounce, giga drain, nd some powder move/ leech seed
IDK about the 6th one. Maybe espeon or umbreon. o well
