As for the last spot, it used to hold Shiny Butterfree. Might put Scizor in there instead, or Gliscor or Weavile. As for Meganium, i might replace it... don't know.

If the Pokemon and the tm for Headbutt are located in the same areas as the original games, my team will be as it is in my signature. (I might switch Onix for Geodude...I'm not sure yet) The best part is that I can have all the basic forms before the 3rd gym! ^_^

Poliwag - Use old rod on rts. 30, 31 (old rod is in the pokemon center on rt. 32.)

On HeartGold I think I might duplicate my original Gold team: Typhlosion, Ampharos, Alakazam, Gyarados and Togetic, and I would replace Lugia with Houndoom.
On SoulSilver, I have no idea. It'll include a Feraligatr, since Totodile was my starter on Silver, but the rest of team on Silver wasn't very clealy designed and was composed of placeholders and Ho-Oh and Lugia.

Two Fire types is kind of risky, but for the rest of your line up I would go with a Water type and an Electric type and maybe the last slot a wildcard or a Flyer.

so i figured out all the movesets for my Team
Typhlosion(Special Sweeper)
-Flamethrower
-Focus Blast
-Fire Blast/Solarbeam?
-Lava Plume
Not much diversity here. Game Freak pretty much nerfed Typhlosion in 4th Gen making most of his diverse attacks physical. Thunderpunch was a very good asset to Typhlosion but W/e
Slowking(Special Sweeper)
-Nasty Plot
-Ice Beam
-Surf
-Psychic
The reason i chose Slowking over Starmie is because he is available at the Slowpoke Well. Also decent defenses, high HP and Sp.Atk, and Nasty Plot make this thing a BEAST.
Crobat(Flyer)
-Fly(not an option huh?)
-Cross Poison
-Bite
-Aerial Ace/Pluck(which ever Falkner gives out, hopefully not Roost)
I chose Crobat over Pidgeot and Noctowl because crobat has alot more diversity, Plus Bite helps alot against Morty.

Scizor is a super beast, basically SD 2 times and hes invincible, appears early too(Bug Catching Contest)

Machamp was available for trade in the Dept Store which made it easy to level up. It also had it use against that Beast Miltank of Whitney

Well, I think it'll depend on how much they change the movesets. If they don't change them too much, I'm definitely starting with totodile, because he has the best level up movepool, imho. I was thinking about starting with cyndaquil, but if Whitney's Miltank gets Thick Fat poor little cyndaquil will be hard pressed to beat her.
Other than the starter, I absolutely HAVE to have ampharos. ^^ and if they put in Vulpix/Growlithe I'll have those... hmm, Pidgeot For Fly, Gyarados for water type HMs, and probably switch out the last one on a regular basis. Probably Victreebel most of the time.
