Hopefully they do change a lot of the spots. Poor Murkrow, Misdreavus, Houndour, Sneasel, and Slugma would be cut off from Jhoto. They should be in Jhoto. Sorry for reserecting that argument.

I am trying not to think about my team too much and just get Pokemon I like the look of at the time. I'll try to use Pokemon only from the 2nd generation but I will use Pokemon from other generations if push comes to shove.

Hmmm. I've been really thinking about it, but I'm just not sure exactly what I want for my team. I've decided on:

Feraligatr
Ampharos
Gengar
Scizor

Maybe a Tyranitar if I want to wait that long to fill in a spot on my team. I'm also considering Donphan, assuming it's still there and is somewhat easier to find. It was a Crystal-only thing, but FR/LG had Mankey in the grass to the left of Viridian like Yellow, so it's not out of the question.

One of the most seemingly useless pokemon turned out to be very helpful in my most recent playthrough of Gold version, Togepi. Charm and Sweet Kiss turned out to be very useful against Whitney's Miltank. Other than that I'll probably go with..

Totodile ( <3 Totodile, no evolve for him.
Butterfree (Lots of poison type enemies = very useful.)
Ampharos (Unless Pikachu becomes available earlier in HG)
Furret (Turned out to be my most useful pokemon in old GS. Return TM)

Ampharos probably bacuse it is an early electric pokemon that's Johto and is actually pretty good. Lanturn is too far out of the way and Pichu, Elekid, and Raikou are the only others that are Johto. Of course their are others in Kanto but some people would rather have a Johto team.
