Basic physics will tell you that liquid flows and spreads.

If the volcano were constantly erupting then eventually the lava would reach the sea.

It is the basis of all land.

The Volcano can not erupt forever and the lava can no remain hot enough to flow until it reaches water, and then KEEP GOING over the water. It just wouldn't happen.

yea if a volcano kept erupting it would run out of lava and the earth would collapse within itself
