Which turtle Pokemon is better? Torkoal or Blastoise? I love them both, but I find Torkoal easier to use and a bit more fun. Torkoal has amazing defence, and unlike Blastoise, can pull off devestating special attacks in addition to physical ones. Not to mention its ability prevents STAT-reduction.

Well Blastoise is my favorite Pokemon, so I guess I'm bias, but I'll go with that. I also prefer water to fire types as a whole in general.

Blastoise is *way* too fast for a tortoise, but I chose it anyway

Blastoise. Hands down. I love his design and his Tank attire. It can take attacks like nothing, and has a decent enough Special Attack to blast off. One of the best Haze users too. Just outranked by broken Water Pokémon...

My second favorite Pokémon, and the guy that pretty much got me into Pokémon. I'll always love Blastoise. Torkoal is OK, though.

Blastoise. Hands down. They don't call him the "King of the Shell Pokemon" for nothing. >=3
There's just that special something about Blastoise that you just can't help but like. Maybe it's because of his look, which makes him look much more powerful. Or it might be just because of his ability to use the powerful Hydro Cannon, which even though is pretty risky to use, it is also one of the best finishing moves in the game. Torkoal's cool and all, but when it really comes down to it, Blastoise is supreme.
