Bewear my power
I have strange urges to do crossover fics, don't I? One day I'm doing a Star Wars/Pokemon crossover, next I'm doing a TMNT/Pokemon crossover. This is an alternate version of the second season's first five episodes, namely the Turtles in Space.
I think this may be rated PG. I dunno, I'm not good with ratings.
Mods, the Pokemon will appear in chapter one, so don't mod me.
Here's the prologue. It's first person, but the rest of the fic is second person (or third, I can't remember which).
Prologue:
My name is Leonardo. I'm a teenage mutant turtle trained in the ancient art of Ninjitsu.
You may ask yourself this: how did you get to be a mutant turtle? I'll tell you.
I, along with my three brothers, was a regular baby turtle, knowing nothing other than the fact that we were in a city called New York. We were being held in a jar that a young boy was carrying. The boy was about to cross a street when a teenager behind him saw an old blind man about to be run over by a large blue truck.
The teen rushed out to save the man, accidentally bumping the boy, causing the jar holding me and my brothers to fall out of the boy's hands. The jar burst open on contact with a stream of water that lead into a sewer grating.
The last thing I saw before being washed into the sewer grating was the big blue truck swerve, causing a metal canister roughly twice my current size to bounce out of the back. The canister followed the four of us into the sewer, unknown to us...
...until it cracked open on a step above us, spilling a glowing, green ooze all over our bodies.
A rat named Splinter who, unknown to us, was to become our future Sensei, saw us, and took pity. He gathered up the four of us in a coffee can, but not before Michelangelo, one of my brothers, shook all of his ooze onto Splinter's body.
Splinter took the four of us to his burrow, where we all went to sleep. The next morning, he awoke to find that all of us, including himself, had doubled in size, and became more intelligent.
What surprised Splinter the most was that one of my other brothers, Donatello, actually spoke his name. A little while later, all four of us were speaking.
A few months later, Splinter fished a book on renossance art out of a storm drain, and chose names for each of us. He then began to teach us the ancient Japanese art of Ninjitsu.
I should probably get onto describing everyone.
I am a natural born leader. I have courage, but I was afraid of heights when I was a turtle tot. Master Splinter helped me overcome that fear, however, and now I fear nothing. Except failure, letting my brothers, and Sensei, down. Sensei chose my ninja weapons to be a pair of katana, razor-sharp swords that can cut through just about anything.
The second of us, Michelangelo, is a wisecracker. He reads comic books a lot of the time, and when he's not doing that, he's playing video games. Mikey pays the least attention to anything that Master Splinter teaches us, but he makes up for it with his humor. Master Splinter chose Mikey's weapons to be a pair of nunchakus, weapons that have two short wooden poles strung together by a chain.
The third one, Donatello, is really smart. He's built five vehicles in his lifetime, as well as a lot of other things. He's even built a remote control for one of his first, the Battle Shell. Sensei gave Donnie a Bo Staff, a long, hardwood pole, to use as his ninja weapon.
The last one of us, Raphael, is the hothead of the group. Raph and I usually have fights, usually physically. Raph is really quick to anger, and really slow to cool down. Once, he almost smashed Mikey's head in with a metal pipe, just because Mikey beat him in a sparring match. Master Splinter gave Raph a pair of Sais, small, miniature tridents, to use as weapons.
Now, fifteen years after Sensei trained us in Ninjitsu, he goes missing. We practically turned New York City upside-down looking for him, even enlisting the help of one of our few human friends, April O' Neal, but with no luck...
...until we looked inside a new technologies company called Techno Cosmic Research Institute, more commonly known as TCRI. What's strange about this is, TCRI was printed on the canister of ooze that mutated us into what we are.
Getting in there wasn't easy. We had April get inside and disable the security on the building, thanks to a distraction from Raph's human friend, Casey "Arnold" Jones. I can practically hear Casey say "don't call me Arnold!" right about now.
Anyway, after Donnie took care of the security cameras by playing with a pidgeon puppet, which freaked Mikey out, we got inside through an exhaust port. Once inside, we discovered a strange, brain-like alien species that uses robotic bodies to make up for their inability to fight.
The good news is, we discovered that Master Splinter IS in this building, but in a form of stasis that even Donnie can't understand. The bad news is, the aliens forced us onto a strange platform that teleported us (painfully) out of the building.
Where we'll get, though, I haven't a clue...
