TGP: The God Gene

-:plot:-

In the not too distant future, science has made a breakthrough. A special protein has been discovered, capable of reshaping DNA and Cellular structure. They call it 'The God Gene', or 'TGP' for short, as it essentially has the creation powers of God. Christianity is now virtually non-existant, many turning to TGP as a means of curing fatal illness', cosmetics, you name it. It is used in virtually every hospital, as it is quick and painless, not taking more than a mere injection into the vital spot. Cancer has gone from one of the biggest killers, to the most easily cured potentially fatal disease. However, one man has decided to take the protein a step further, for a bizarre purpose.

In 1987, June 13th, Jacob Starling was born. His parents were both scientists, and they wanted him to grow up to be the greatest scientist who ever lived. He graduated early from University, and started studying DNA structures, and how to manipulate them. He worked alongside another scientist, Dr. Robert Caulfield, and they quickly became close friends. As they matured, they began extracting DNA from every living organism around the world, searching for the 'perfect' molecular structure. Dr. Starling worked on invertebrates and singular celled colonial animals, whilst Dr. Caulfield worked specifically on vertebrates.

3 years afer they started their research, Dr. Starling made a discovery. The DNA samples taken from particular Multicellular Organisms showed that the cells worked in unison to change shape, and move freely. This was controlled by the nuclei of each cell, individually. The Nuclei produced a protein that would allow the molecular structure change freely, so it would in turn, alter in shape or size. Dr. Starling had made a breakthrough, and he realised that if he tampered with the sample a little, he could create a 'shape-shifting' kind of gene, which could be controlled by the positioning, or molecular structure of the specific gene injected; TGP.

Jacob showed his colleague, and only his colleague. Dr. Caulfield was staggered with what he had discovered, whilst he had found nothing. Although jealous, he promised to himself that he would not take any credit for the discovery. Jacob spent the next few days bragging about how he was going to be rich, how he was going to be famous, how he was going to be noticed. Blinded with jealousy and anger, Dr. Caulfield went back on his promise, and whilst Jacob was away, took the research notes, along with the samples. When it came the time for Jacob to show off his discovery, it was too late. Dr. Caulfield claimed the fame, and the glory.

In a spiral of depression and anger, Jacob slowly went insane. His new goal was to use his discoveries for a darker purpose. He organised another meeting with the scientist council a few years later, to show off a discovery that he had made, enhancing the abilities of TGP. But what he had discovered was horrifying.

Unveiling a pod, filled with a solution of TGP, other chemicals, and animal DNA, he unveiled a terrifying spectacle. A man, who's arms and legs had transformed into tentacles, his head taking a spear like, streamlined shape. More tentacles sprouted from his shoulders, smaller, but apparently undeveloped. Dr. Starling had managed to create a Hybrid between Human, and Squid. He further stated that this could be done with any type of animal, including fossilized DNA. Dr. Caulfield was head of the council at the time, and couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Dr. Starling was banned from participating in these 'barbaric' experiments, and was jailed for 4 years. His insanity grew, and when he was released from prison, he went into hiding. Nobody has seen him since. The sad truth is, Dr. Starling thrived off of these experiments, and seeked refuge on a deserted island, where he set up a secret laboratory. The money he made through past discoveries was enough to have the place built, a team of staff was hired, dedicated to keeping the Experimentee's in check.

And you are the next experimentee.

Now you are a member of this newly transformed world, a world where technology is at its peak. Whether you are rich, poor, famous, a nobody, tall, short, dumb, or smart, you go about your everyday life, as if everything is fine... until you one day, find yourself being knocked out unexpectedly. The last thing you hear before you black out is:

"Yes... he'll do well as a new pet. Hehehe."

---------------------------------

You awake to an unfriendly surge of energy coarsing through your veins. You are in a testing lab, inside a test tube. The test tubes themselves, other than yourself, are filled with a green fluid. It isn't acidic, nor alkaline, and appears to be unreactive. You're not sure. You have no idea how you got there, or how to get out. But you can see around you, much to your displeasure, many other test tubes with other subjects in them, some still unconscious. You have no recollection as to how you got here, but you won't have time to gather your thought's at the moment. Another surge of energy, this one more painful than the last, is suddenly shot into your body, and you pass out once again.

You awake a few hours later, in a white room containing a bed, TV screen (not the kind you watch TV on though), and a CCTV Camera. You are clothed in the clothes you were wearing prior to being knocked out the first time. You feel groggy for the moment, as you have just been under the influence of anasthaetic. Suddenly the TV screen comes on, and a speaker echoes thoughout the building. A man, with the obvious persona of a mad scientist, what with the crazy white hair, glasses, pointy nose and all, appears on the screen. He speaks to you, and unbeknownst to you, he speaks to every other test subject.

"Greetings. My name is Dr. Starling, and I run this facility. You have each been hand picked to undergoe some... mild changes, if you may. You see, we're testing a new use for TGP, and you all volunteered to do this for me! Ehehehe!"

You are awake enough now to know that is a blatant lie, and you were forced here against your will.

"... No good? Ah well, it was worth a shot. But think about it. We couldn't risk you saying no, you would've missed out on an amazing oppurtunity. We are going to change history with these experiments. Now, if you exit your room you will enter the tester's lounge, where you can socialise with your new friends. Hopefully you don't kill eacho- I MEAN, I HOPE YOU GET ALONG... Ha... Haha... Ahahaha!"

You wonder to yourself what the strange man meant by that last remarck, and what exactly he has done to you. It is up to you what you do from here on out.

Michael Mieti

"I think its about time I woke up. Should I?" Michael pondered to himself. Everything around him was covered in pitch blackness, the only thing visible being the squiggly line at the periphery of his eye, that seems to run away in fear whenever he looked at it. He couldn't tell if this was reality or not, his mind was too much of a blur from being heavily drugged up, for testing purposes. As much as he tried to open his eyes, they just wouldn't budge. Michael was calm for now, and instead of attempting the impossible anymore, he relaxed, whilst waiting for it to fix itself. Besides, if he was dead, there really was no point in trying to bring himself back to life.

A surge of electricity suddenly shot through him, and he cringed with the slight pain. He was confused for a second, however the surge of electricity managed to loosen up the muscles around his eyelids, so that he may see again. Maybe he really was dead, on the operating table, recieving some sort of shock treatment to jolt his dying heart back into action. Unfortunately, he didn't awake to a hospital bed, and a green glow started to come into vision. He heard voices, which were faint, but reasonably understandable.

"So, hows subject number 03 coming along? I heard this guy was an ex-special core, and he was caught snooping in on the facility one time. Shouldn't we be making sure he doesn't talk, instead of doing this?"

"Nah. We're gonna make sure he never forgets his experiences here. Dr. Starling has something amazing planned for him."

The scientist talking brought in a test tube, with a label on the side. Michael couldn't make out the label, due to the green blur, and the fact that he was still under a heavy dosage of some sort of Knockout drug. Although, he could see enough to tell that the other scientist was shocked by what he had showed him.

Michael began to wonder where the hell he was again. He looked around the confines of the test tube, noticing nothing but the green fluid, and wires, all attached to him to monitor his condition. The fluid seemed to be heavily oxidised, and he could breathe in it without apparatus, or anything of the sort. He looked beside him. Although he couldn't quite put his finger on it, he could see the faint outline of a head.

"Theres others?" he thought to himself, looking back around at the scientists, attempting once more to listen in on their conversation. One of the scientists had approached the computer desk, to monitor his condition.

"Hehe. We've got something planned for you, but you'll have to sit tight until morning to find out what it is. Don't worry, this won't hurt a bit." Almost in an instant, another electrical surge was sent through Michael's body, this time, causing agonising pain. Michael looked at the scientist, now groggy and tired from the surge, with evil eyes. The scientist just continued to smirk at him, mocking him from behind glass. Michael released a breath, containing the last words he would utter before this "Plan" for him was set into motion.

"Hm.... C-Coward..."

A few hours later, Michael was awoken again. Although he couldn't see much, as far as he could tell the room was entirely white. A few more minutes passed before Michael was able to grab his bearings, and claw himself into an upright sitting position, against the back wall. He examined hs surroundings once more. Everything still remained white. The only small part of the room that was not white was the TV Screen that was situated infront of the bed he lay on, and the ring around the Security camera in the top left corner of the room. Although disorientated, he frowned at the sight of the camera. He disliked people spying on him, which was hypocritical seeing as he used to be a spy.

The TV screen turned itself on, grabbing Michael's full attention. As expected, it was a mad scientist figure. He thought as much so, and by this point he was again trying to figure out what was reality and what wasn't. He could hear, feel, touch, smell, and taste enough to believe it was reality, but a mad scientist? A hidden island? This was all too much of a fantasy. A horror movie if you will. However, he knew it was real. He'd seen it before, what the facility had done to people; and now he was part of it. He cringed at the though, but being groggy helped him in taking the news. He listened carefully as the mad doctor made his speech, listening out for key words, such as 'Changes' and 'Kill'.

As the speech came to a close, Michael managed to bring himself to his feet. However his first step, led to him tripping over, holding himself up against the wall beside the door for support. He panted heavily, realising that he needed a few more moments to gather himself together.

"Heh... I guess I've gotten myself into something bigger than I can chew... huff... damnit..." he panted to himself, managing to bring himself upright. All he could think about now was how to get himself out of this living nightmare, and back into the real world.

Diego's subconscious told him to wake up. Instincts kicked in and he managed to wake up. He couldn't see much. Just blurred shapes. It was to be expected though. He didn't have on his glasses. As Diego began waking up more, he began evaluating more of his current situation. He felt out of it, but that was because of the knockout drug. He did feel like he was on a table or something.

Oh god, was he abducted by aliens?

No. If he had, he would be back on Earth hours later with a blotched memory and scars.

This was a human kidnapping.

He then felt like he was floating.

He wasn't on a table. He was in like a giant pod. The liquid he was in must have been heavily oxidized so they can breathe. He managed to see there were more human silhouettes inside similar things.

"Subject 13 is awake. How fitting. He is the unfortunate soul to go through this," one figure, presumably a scientist said.

"Yes, I agree. I mean, this is a major branch. The results could be devastating," the other scientist said.

"Spider DNA... I mean, at least other mammals, lizards, birds and even fish are easier because of a lot of things. But this? Boy, this kid is in for it,"

This did not make Diego feel happy.

He then felt electricity course through his body. It hurt a blood great deal as began going unconscious. His last views was on a test tube with liquid inside. With a label he could not read, he faded into the darkness.

He had a faint dream of jumping spiders.

He woke up.

Diego saw his glasses were on a night table nearby. He put them on and examined his surroundings. Everything was white. Besides the bed and night table, there wasn't much. There was a CCTV camera though. Diego bit his lip. He then saw the TV screen.

Something was wrong. The screen came on and the speakers came on. A man, with the obvious persona of a mad scientist, what with the crazy white hair, glasses, pointy nose and all, appears on the screen.

"Greetings. My name is Dr. Starling, and I run this facility. You have each been hand picked to undergoe some... mild changes, if you may. You see, we're testing a new use for TGP, and you all volunteered to do this for me! Ehehehe!"

Liar Diego thought as he hissed at the man.

"... Ha... Haha... Ahahaha!"

Diego was in a jam. Now, what could these experiments be? From what he could recall, he remembered spider DNA. Diego, being an avid nerd and critical thinker pieced only one thing.

Good god, we are being mutated Diego said. Animal-human hybrids? That was one messed experiment.

Diego got up and stretched. "Might as well see my fellow prisoners," Diego said as he left toward the tester's lounge.

BZZP!

Candice's eyes opened slowly as a current passed through her body. Her head ached and her body felt numb. She tried to hold her head but her arm hit something. She opened her eyes more to see that she was in a tube of green fluid.

Looks like I'm in some sort of lab. My headache is probably from drugs they gave me. The last thing I remember is being knocked out when going to the store.

"Ah, looks like subject 02 is awake." She heard a voice say.

"Shall we shoot his eye with crystal shards?" Another voice said before laughing.

"Ha ha. The Kirby jokes are rather old. Apperently she's getting Birman cat DNA. I'm surprised that she's not a teenager because you'd expect the cat-human to be a teenage girl."

Birman DNA? Are they turning me into a hybrid? Candice didn't have much time to think before a powerful shock knocked her out again.

---

Candice woke up in a white room in her past clothing. She slowly got out of the bed and looked around. Well that experience was probably not a dream from the looks of things. Then the screen in the room turned on. There was a man that looked like a mad scientist.

"Greetings. My name is Dr. Starling, and I run this facility. You have each been hand picked to undergo some... mild changes, if you may. You see, we're testing a new use for TGP, and you all volunteered to do this for me! Ehehehe!"

She tilted her head at this. Why would I volunteer for something like this? I have a class to teach.

"... No good? Ah well, it was worth a shot. But think about it. We couldn't risk you saying no, you would've missed out on an amazing oppurtunity. We are going to change history with these experiments. Now, if you exit your room you will enter the tester's lounge, where you can socialise with your new friends. This did not bode well in Candice's mind. Just what has this man done to us? She was nervous to find out, but she decided to walk into the tester's lounge. I hope this doesn't result badly.

Night Triumphant
Cecilia Lowell
Gray Wolf

Cecilia's eyes flew open as she felt something akin to an electric shock coarsing through her body. She tried to move, but her body somehow felt...sluggish, numb, even though she knew that she was awake.

Green? Why the hell am I in green fluid? Who brought me here? WHO THE HELL PUT ME IN HERE?

It was a dream. It surely was one, albeit a really, really bad one if that were the case. She looked around. Green fluid surrounded her and it appeared that she was encased in glass. Like an experimental guinea pig. Using what little strength she had, she tried to pound the on the glass.

Who's experiment am I? Somebody get me outta here!

"Look at that one. Test Subject 6, already awake and violent. They said she's got some kind of criminal record or something." She heard a voice say from outside the tube.

Nosy bastards...

"Yes, and she's to recieve Gray Wolf DNA...a black pelt one to boot...yeah, even I thought that it was going to a guy." Another voice stated.

"Me too, I don't know why this is going to her anyway." The first voice agreed, which made the second voice sigh.

"You don't get it. It's all a pun. Do your research and find out what her last name means. Plus she looks like a bitch, therefore, she gets something similar to a bitch, dimwit." He explained.

Wolf? Am I going wolf? Would I develop an insane habit of howling at the moon? Man, my life is getting crazier and crazier.

Cecilia had no time to protest, as another more powerful shock passed through her body, knocking her out.

Hours later...

Cecilia woke up for the second time in a stark-white room, reminiscent of the wards of the mental hospital near her Juvie. Her head hurt like hell, and her body felt like it wanted to fall back on the bed. Her eyes however, refused to close themselves.

So I'm in a mental hospital? Who the hell had this crazy idea of bringing me here?

She looked around the room slowly, her senses still slow. There was nothing much, bo-ring. Just a bed, a night table and a TV screen. As Cecilia studied the TV screen, it immediately flashed, displaying the face of a man who looked like some kind of evil, deranged scientist or doctor.

"Greetings. My name is Dr. Starling, and I run this facility. You have each been hand picked to undergo some... mild changes, if you may. You see, we're testing a new use for TGP, and you all volunteered to do this for me! Ehehehe!"

Volunteered? She knew that she was already accepted into art college without much problems. Was this some kind of prerequisite she overlooked in the terms of application? She did not know what this facility had to do with art school.

"... Ha... Haha... Ahahaha!" The crazy man continued. Cecilia arched an eyebrow.

What an effing asshole. Maybe he should be the patient or the guinea pig...

What was happening? What did they do to her? Tester's lounge...maybe there were others. Cecilia then headed for said lounge, determined to find out what the heck was going on.

Clarification?
Felix Serin
GSD

A sharp and sudden pain shot through his entire being, causing his lungs to violently contract and steal away what little air was in there. It slowly bubbled up, dancing through the fluid as Felix’s eyes shot open. Tinted green and blurred, his vision slowly returned from the darkness as his body began to relax. Devoid of energy, even keeping his eyelids open was a struggle.

“Reaction and vitals are normal.”

“ German Shephard DNA for Subject 15, huh? A little luckier than the last few.”

“And we could always use a guard dog.”

“Yeah, we sure could’ve used him when #3 snuck in… and given him a biscuit for his trouble”

Using all of his strength, Felix reached out towards the scientists, his hand shaking violently as he forced it through the fluid. Breathing hard, the bubbles slowly floating to the top of the green liquid, every inch was a fight; he might as well have been moving through wet cement. Felix’s arm entered his field of vision, and was punctured with wires of all colors, sticking out of him like he was some sort of machine. But right now, he didn’t care; Felix just wanted to find out what was going on. He grit his teeth, the fire behind his blue eyes shining, using all of his energy and fully extended his hand, his fingertips reaching his ultimate goal, skimming the glass in front of him. His mind descended into chaos, trying to figure out what was happening, and why was he in a glass tube.

The two scientists in front of him burst out in a hearty laugh to a joke Felix obviously didn’t understand.

“Looks like he heard you! ” They snickered. “Oh, who wants a biscuit? Who’s a good boy?” The two burst out laughing.

What do you want from me!? Where am I?! Felix wanted to shout these things at the top of his lungs, he willed his body to let him, but would not respond. Instead, he glared at the scientists like a crazed animal as they clicked a button beside his container.

Agony cut to his core as the electricity, once again, coursed through his veins. But as much as he wanted to, Felix couldn’t scream, he couldn’t curse, he couldn’t wake up from this nightmare. He body slumped in the tube as his vision blackened and head spun.

“You better get used to the shocks, 15, cause when we get the collar on you-…”

Felix blacked out before the man finished his sentence.

--------------

A pounding headache greeted Felix as he awoke, rubbing his eyes and yawning.

“What a crazy dream…” He mused to no one in particular, opening his eyes, his brain almost immediately being assaulted by a million new questions. He was seated in the middle of a pure white room, containing nothing more than a white TV, a bed, and a black, CCTV camera, which eyed Felix like a hawk.

“…Which just got crazier.”

The TV suddenly flipped showing a man, rather, the stereotypical mad scientist. Crazy white hair, glasses, and a pointed nose filled the screen.

"Greetings. My name is Dr. Starling, and I run this facility. You have each been hand picked to undergo some... mild changes, if you may. You see, we're testing a new use for TGP, and you all volunteered to do this for me! Ehehehe!"

Wait? Volunteered? When? Felix looked around the room, half-expecting this to be some elaborate college prank, half-wondering if he was still dreaming.

"... No good? Ah well, it was worth a shot. But think about it. We couldn't risk you saying no, you would've missed out on an amazing opportunity. We are going to change history with these experiments. Now, if you exit your room you will enter the tester's lounge, where you can socialise with your new friends. Hopefully you don't kill eacho- I MEAN, I HOPE YOU GET ALONG... Ha... Haha... Ahahaha!"

The screen quickly turned to black, leaving Felix just staring at the television, still wondering what the hell was happening, and when he was going to wake up. It couldn't be a dream, it felt way too real. But at the same time, it all seemed surreal.

Felix stood up, perhaps a little to quickly, as his vision slowly faded to black. Quickly, he collapsed to one knee, panting heavily as his stomach began doing backflips.

“Damn…” He cursed through clenched teeth, forcing himself back up despite the pain. “Just walk it off.” He told himself, taking a deep breath as he steadied himself.

Placing one foot in front of the other, Felix slowly made his way over to the plain white door, opening his way to the tester’s lounge.

Dont, move, a muscle
Evan Bosse
Marine Iguana

Evan awoke to great uncomfront. He was hooked up with small sensor and a small tube, like the kind used on an IV. He was floating in a green, cold liquid. That was surpisinly the least stressful aspect. He could see other giant test tubes, and shaped inside them. He didn't put together that their might be other people in them. He could hear voices outside, and by struggling, he could make out 2 voices. 2 scientist, one male, one female. He saw them appraoch his tube and speak.

Male scientist: "Okay, here is.... Subject Rm2. Reptile DNA."

Female scientist: "This should be interesting, I wonder how it will react to the change in blood type, going from warm-blooded to cold-blooded."

MS: It's also the youngest here, I think. Supposedly that might make it easier. They younger they are, the more easliy there DNA can be manipulated."

FS: " Interesting. I can't wait to see how he turns out."

What? thought Evan. "What are they talking about? Reptile?" He tried to question them, but his voise couldn't penetrate the tube. He attempted to reach forward and touch the glass, but in his stupor his arm went faster than he expected and he punched the glass.

MS: "He's trying to escape! Knock him out!"

A violent surge of electricity passed through him, knocking him unconscious instantly.

A few hours later....

Evan woke up sleepy and nonresponsive, almost not even awake untill the Tv came on. A strange man was showed and began talking.

"Greetings. My name is Dr. Starling, and I run this facility. You have each been hand picked to undergoe some... mild changes, if you may. You see, we're testing a new use for TGP, and you all volunteered to do this for me! Ehehehe!"

"... Ha... Haha... Ahahaha!"

What the man had said terrified him. He didn't get much from it, but he understood that the TGP had to do with DNA alteration. He also understood that there where other people that were being experimented on, and that may have scared him even more. He approached the door in the room, and turned the handle. He then crouched on the ground, and opened the door just wide enough so he could look through with one eye. He hoped whatever creatures awaiting on the other side wouldn't notice him.

Blue Spotted Poison Dart Frog

Sarah awoke in a shock of pain and opened her thinking about being woken up to early since she was on vacation. She looked around and noticed she was floating in green fluid for a second she even though she was having a bad dream. She soon heard people talking and saw some other people wake in there tubes.

Scientist 1: It appears subject Amph1 has awoken.

Scientist 2: Interesting I wonder how it will react to the cold?

S1: Indeed it will be interesting to see its reaction considering that it was given the DNA of the Blue poison dart frog a cold blooded creature.

Wait Dart frog Sarah thought those are poisonous frogs. She reached out and attempted to knock over the tube in an attempt to get away from the scientists. The scientist ran over and started a machine. A second later a violent surge of electricity knocked her out.

In the time of a few hours Sarah awoke in a white room groggy and disorientated suddenly a TV sceen turned on and a crazy scientist who she could swear looked like Albert Einstien started talking.
"Greetings. My name is Dr. Starling, and I run this facility. You have each been hand picked to undergoe some... mild changes, if you may. You see, we're testing a new use for TGP, and you all volunteered to do this for me! Ehehehe!"

"You know your a horrible lier right?"

"... No good? Ah well, it was worth a shot. But think about it. We couldn't risk you saying no, you would've missed out on an amazing oppurtunity. We are going to change history with these experiments. Now, if you exit your room you will enter the tester's lounge, where you can socialise with your new friends. Sarah got through a pillow at the TV screen and entered the other room to meet the others.

Diego saw that he was the first one to arrive at the room. It was a very large room. It had a pool, an area with what looked like a large tanning light for lizards, different sofas, chairs and tables of a variety of styles and hi-tech if not custom and bizarre television screens and vending machines. Diego then saw as he saw the hair on his arms and legs were a bit thicker. Also, he felt his sight become clearer and back to normal not wearing the glasses. He wondered if this was part of being part spider.

After this, he should see if he can become a superhero.

He then saw more of his fellow patients. The first one was a guy. He reminded Diego of military men, perhaps he was in it? Diego wondered if his rank was high enough to warrant investigation. His thought processes were interrupted by looking at Cecelia. Despite her tough and angry exterior, something about er drew Diego's attention. And I mean besides she was pretty.

He saw two more guys and a lady step out. Diego waved to them before approaching them. "So... it looks we are all in this mess," Diego said as he was looking around for any hidden cams.

Voices could be heard on the other side of the door. He looked up at the wall he was holding himself up with for a second, and gave himself some thinking time. It was likely that the other testee's would be in that room, however he didn't want to introduce himself to them just yet. After all, if his training had taught him anything, it was to not trust anyone in a time like this. He took a little longer to come up with a persona.

I should go with my Special Core persona for now, but say that its a nickname. Nobody will suspect. He firmly grasped the door handle to leave the room. A sharp pain shot through his bones as he grabbed onto it, however. It felt almost as if the joints in his fingers were rubbing against the door frame, and he cringed at the pain. However, Michael thought nothing of it, and proceeded to enter the lounge.

He assumed a place this nice had to be some sort of trick, to keep them oblivious to the observation camera's that would obviously be scattered around the room, probably disguised. The pool in particular, was silly. Michael chuckled at the facilities efforts, whilst clenching his fist at their insult. The other test subjects were soon to exit their rooms. Michael examined each of them thoroughly, keeping note of any defining features that may or may not have been natural. The gratuitous amount of hair on Diego's arms was one of those defining features, however Michael was unsure whether it was natural or not.

"So... it looks like we're all in this mess', the hairy man said, Michael examining his voice also. There was nothing abnormal about it, however voices could very well be signals to what would happen to them. Michael stayed distant from the other subjects; he had his cruel personality on today and didn't feel like making friendly gestures to anybody at the time. However, he replied to the mans comment.

"I guess we are." He carried on looking around the room, taking note of anything else that looked suspicious. "Those Bastards, what do they intend to do?"

Candice looked around the room. There were a few other people around. Each one was different so nobody stuck out in her mind. Appearances never really made a difference to her anyway.

"So... it looks we are all in this mess." a man said, breaking the silence. Candice nodded. While it was a bad thing that people were being forced into this kind of predicament, at least being together would help each of them deal with whatever was planned.

"I guess we are." another man said. "Those Bastards, what do they intend to do?"

Candice cleared her throat. "Whatever they are planning to do probably involves genetics. In any case, it would probably be in our best interests to get to know each other more." She placed a hand on her heart. "My name is Candice Kejek and I teach elementary school, or rather I did before today."

She closed her eyes and sighed. I hope we can escape and get back to our lives.

Evan watched the other test subjects enter the lounge through the crack in his door. Most of them terrifyed him, but he continued to watch, There was a bit of a conversation going on, and Evan listened intently, hoping to gain some understanding about why they were here.

Diego: "So... it looks we are all in this mess."

Micheal: I guess we are. Those Bastards, what do they intend to do?"

Candice: "Whatever they are planning to do probably involves genetics. In any case, it would probably be in our best interests to get to know each other more.My name is Candice Kejek and I teach elementary school, or rather I did before today."

"Genetics?" he thought. "How does genetics fit into thi-" his thoughts were cut off as he put two and two together. "Am i gonna be some kind of lizard?" he thought.

Unfortunatly, while trying to change position, he slipped and the door to his room opened, revealing him to everyone.

"uhhh, hi?" he said, scared and confused.

Candice turned to where she heard a thud. There was a teenager on the ground. "Uhhh, hi?" he said. Teenagers might not have been Candice's students, but she could tell he needed some support. She slowly walked over to him and extended her arm to help the teen up.

"Do you need a hand?" Candice asked. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you." Principals that apply to children can sometimes work on adults, although it will get more complex with additional age. Anyways, he looks like he needs a friend. He was hiding from the rest of us so he is probably shy. Hopefully we won't have anyone that will spook him.

Michael Mieti

Michael heard the girl talking about genetics. As much as he wanted to say something, he knew that it would probably be best to conceal the truth for now. After all, he'd seen what had happened to the test subjects that were taken here. He didn't want to think about it right now, and chuckled at the girls remarck, whilst staring blankly at his hand. There was something oddly different about his hand joints, but nothing he could put his finger on(haha).

"Girl, you shouldn't talk too much. I'm pretty sure we're being spied on." Although the girl had already introduced herself as Candice, he was in a bad mood today, and didn't want to have to remember peoples names. Michael looked away from his hand and around the room once more.

"They're probably laughing at us now for trying to figure out what they want us for. I don't want to give them that pleasure." Michael stated, now looking over at Candice, who had gone to help another subject, a younger one. He seemed to be incredibly shy, which Michael despised. He turned his head away in shame, tutting as he turned.

"He'll die first." Michael muttered underneath his breath. This wasn't meant in a malicious sense, but rather a forecasting sense. He knew there would be something else to all of this, that would involve possible death. He did his best to block out this thought, and paced over to one of the sofa's to take a rest. Although he had just woken up, he was tired.

"Girl, you shouldn't talk too much. I'm pretty sure we're being spied on."

Felix threw open the door, trying his best to remain upright and thinking coherently. A ton of other abducted people were already in the room. Although, judging by everything else in the room, it looked more like a resort than the hole in the wall warehouse you would expect to wake up to after being kidnapped. The 4-star hotel they were placed in had everything from a tanning bed, to a bunch of vending machines, to a multitude of high-tech TVs (Although the pool was probably overkill).

"They're probably laughing at us now for trying to figure out what they want us for. I don't want to give them that pleasure." The skinny, short kid spat, derailing Felix's train of thought.

"He'll die first." The skinny kidnapped muttered under his breath, just loud enough for Felix to hear, shrugging his words towards some lanky klutz who'd fallen down. He brushed right past Felix, pacing over to one of the sofas in the room. Felix just glared at him, an innate anger brewing inside of him; something about the kid just ticked him off.

He sighed, crossing his arms and leaning up against the nearest wall, the medicine starting to catch up to him. Why was he here with all of these people? With another sigh, he uncrossed his arms, putting his hands in his jacket pockets. Just what was going on here?

Well, just staying here wasn't going to answer that.

With a sigh, Felix, hands still glued into his jacket pockets walked over to the nearest person, someone about his age with jet black hair, glasses, and wearing a shirt with a ying-yang symbol and some sort of snake.

"Hey." Felix put on a something similar to a smirk as he approached, "You wouldn't happen to know what the hell is going on, would you?"

Night Triumphant
Cecilia Lowell

The tester's lounge was...not really what Cecilia would call a lounge. To her, it looked more like a penthouse suite or something. Swimming pool, tanning bed...the heck? To her, this made her captivity even more sadistic. More people were in there, seemingly normal-looking at first sight....perhaps more test subjects?

"So... it looks we are all in this mess." A guy wearing glasses stated. Cecilia eyed him as she glared.

Ross...why is my effing life torturing me now with the spitting image of Ross Sanchez? Why the hell does this kid look like Ross Sanchez? Damn all of you who brought me here...and damn you Ross...

"I guess we are. Those Bastards, what do they intend to do?" Another guy grumbled. Cecilia had noticed that the first guy's body hair was...unnaturally thick, as if he mutated or something. The second one looked pretty normal, at least for now.

"Whatever they are planning to do probably involves genetics. In any case, it would probably be in our best interests to get to know each other more." She placed a hand on her heart. "My name is Candice Kejek and I teach elementary school, or rather I did before today." An adult woman replied, introducing herself.

"Uhhh, hi?" The youngest one in the room piped up. Cecilia scoffed to herself. To her, even if he was tall, he looked like a pussy. Even the woman looked as if she was more of a man than he was. She sighed. Whose idea of divine punishment was this anyway?

The woman had gone on to help the pussy, while the dark guy muttered something under his breath. Another guy approached Ross the Second.

"Hey. You wouldn't happen to know what the hell is going on, would you?" He asked. He trusted Ross the Second? Cecilia knew better than to trust the guy who was possibly her ex coming back to haunt her.

"Of course he wouldn't. He's just as clueless as the rest of us." She snapped, tossing back her side-ponytail. She definitely did not like this hairy dude...he was Ross, she was almost sure of it. She had to control herself though, causing a scene was going to be bad...especially if they were being watched. She turned around and plopped on one of the leather couches and crossed her arms.

"Whatever the hell it is, it's bound to ruin our lives. Heck, it already ruined mine. Name's Cece by the way, unless for some reason you'd want to waste saliva, then it would be Cecilia." She remarked.

The teacher went to help him, and Evan was very glad to have an ally here. He was feeling a little better as well. "Thanks" he said.

He was shocked and again a little scared when one of the other prisinors said "He'll die first." But years with putting up with bullies gave Evan a snappy comeback or two. "Hm. At least that means I won't have to spend as much time with you." he retorted to the other prisinor. Evan already felt like the bottom of the totem pole here, but he was also determined to prove himself to any who thought lowly of him.

His courage returning to him, he began to search the room. Looking under any tables and chairs for cameras or listining bugs. He then began to move towards the lamp area, which looked like something for a large reptile.

Sarah looked around at the other test subjects. You could tell by the look on her face that she was contemplating who to talk to when she bumped into Evan as she to headed for the lamp area.

"Oops, sorry I bumped into you" she said

"So... it looks we are all in this mess." A guy wearing glasses stated

Sarah looked over at the other prisoners and stopped on Cecelia, staring at her for a second before silently deciding to stay away from her.

She walked over to the teacher who looked nice.

"What's your name?" she asked

"Cadice." Said the other lady

"I teach elementary school." The lady said

Soon Sarah had decided who she thought was nice and went to take a swim in the pool.
