He used to be really annoying to me, so I turned him off. I never knew he said awesome quotes like these. When I read this thread, though, I instantly turned him on. I have not regret doing it since. However, it annoys me greatly when he says something along the lines of this:

Gee, after narrating almost every battle in the game, he would know by now. =_=

If you have Diamond/Pearl/Platinum and/or Wifi (Wifi really makes it worth it), yes. If you have none of these, no because you can only use rental pokemon with bad movesets .

Oh, and its "TORCHED BY FIRE BLAST!!!"

I might've misunderstood your question buuuut...you could attempt to work with what you have already in the game. It isn't very helpful but it's something. You have Diamond? Just copy your Pokémon data from there.

Not exactly XD. You can do okay in battles, but it helps to have the best moves you can put on your pokemon. Another thing with rentals is you can only choose between two sets at the beginning. The rest you have to win in trade battles.
