ok guys, sorry for the delay, but heres chapter 6, enjoy

Chapter 6. Mt. Moon

Anthony, who had just won a Boulder Badge, went to the local Pokemon Center to check out the town map and to see where is the closest gym.

“Seems like the closest gym is in Cerulean City." Anthony said to himself. "Well I guess I have to go pass Route 3 and into Mt. Moon in order to get there.”

Anthony walked out of the Pokemon Center and started heading East of Pewter City. Anthony then made it to Route 3, a place where many Pokemon trainers train due to the large crowd of Pokemon trainers located there. People make a huge circle and in that circle are 2 Pokemon trainers. The winner stays in the circle until he’s tired of battling or if he beats an opposing trainer.

Anthony noticed a huge circle and wondered what was going on. Anthony then saw two trainers inside the circle battling each other.

“Mankey, use your low kick!” One of the trainers said.

“Quick, Machop, use your mega punch!” The other trainer commanded.

Mankey, a Pokemon that looks like a white monkey charged Machop, a gray colored Pokemon, who uses martial arts charged Mankey with its fist behind his head. Machop then threw his fist forward with great force towards Mankey, but Mankey then jumped up in the air and came back down and tripped Machop with its kick.

Machop lost its balance due to the low kick, and Mankey’s trainer then commanded, “ Mankey, use your hi jump kick!”

Mankey then jumped into the air again, but with his foreleg extended into the air, aiming for the unbalanced Machop. Mankey’s hi jump kick, knocked Machop out of the circle of people, automatically making Mankey the winner.

Mankey’s trainer then left due to being bored. So Anthony thought he would go inside the circle for a match or two.

“Phanpy use your rollout! Ledyba comet punch! Ledyba supersonic! Phanpy tackle!” Anthony commanded to Phanpy and Ledyba, losing track of time. “Heh, another victory!” Anthony yelled, who had just won his fifth battle in the circle. “Anyone else want to battle?” Anthony asked with a confident tone.

“Sure I will.” A girly voice said. As she walked out of the crowd and into the circle, Anthony noticed that the girl looked familiar.

“Wait?!" Anthony said surprised who had just walked in the circle. "What are you doing here Rena?!”

“Well I just won my Boulder Badge and I thought I could use some training, and seeing you in the circle, I thought I’d see how much I improved from last time.” Rena explained to Anthony.

“Okay well I'm ready anytime you are Rena.” Anthony said ready to start.

“Alright, here I come, go Clefairy!” Rena shouted.

“Go Ledyba!” Anthony shouted.

Anthony looked at what to be a small pink cat, which was able to stand up on its hind legs.

“A Clefairy huh? This is going to be fun.” Anthony said with a grin.

“So it seems you caught another Pokemon. Well hopefully its strong, if not, then your going to lose easily.” Rena said.

Anthony thought to himself, “Okay well it’s a normal type Pokemon. So fighting moves should be effective against it. Too bad Ledyba doesn’t have any fighting moves. Oh well, I still got this attack, Ledyba use supersonic!” Anthony ordered Ledyba.

Ledyba’s move opened as it made a loud screeching noise and aimed it towards Clefairy. Clefairy then perked up its ears as it heard the screech and started to wiggle around.

“What’s going on?” Rena asked Anthony.

“Thanks to Ledyba’s supersonic, Clefairy is now confused.” Anthony explained to Rena.

“Fine, that won’t stop me and Clefairy, Clefairy, use your encore.”

Clefairy started to stop wiggling and then started clapping towards Ledyba. Ledyba then started to let the clapping go to his head.

“Huh? Don’t know what that did, but okay, Ledyba, use your comet punch!” Anthony shouted.

Ledyba then opened its mouth and then shot out another high-pitched screech, instead of using its comet punch.

“Huh? Ledyba I said to use comet punch, not supersonic.” Anthony said towards Ledyba.

“Ledyba used supersonic on purpose.” Rena said to Anthony.

“What do you mean?” Anthony asked, confused.

“Since Clefairy’s encore attacked worked luckily, now Ledyba's just going to use supersonic because Clefairy clapped when Ledyba used supersonic. And since supersonic is the only attack Ledyba can use, and Clefairy’s already confused, you can’t do anything.” Rena said laughing as she had taken the advantage in the match.

“Err…what should I do now?” Anthony thought to himself unable to think clearly.

“Haha, time to finish this match! Rena said with a confident tone. Clefairy use your metronome!”

Clefairy pointed out its two index fingers and started to move them side-to-side. As Clefairy moved its fingers, its fingers started to glow.

“Huh, What’s going on?” Anthony said confused.

As Clefairy’s fingers began to glow brighter, Rena explained to Anthony what the metronome attack does. “The metronome attack is a special kind of attack. Metronome allows Clefairy to use any Pokemon attack. Though the attack is randomly selected, the attack could be good or it could end up doing nothing.”

Anthony startled after the explanation, “Great…not only can Ledyba only use supersonic due to that stupid encore attack…but Clefairy is going to use a random attack and I don’t even know how to defend against it.”

Clefairy stopped moving its fingers side-to-side and its whole body began to glow. Clefairy then started to execute the random attack.

“Now, Clefairy, use your metronome!” Rena yelled.

Clefairy then started to go into a pose with the palm of its hands touching. Clefairy started to pull energy into the palms of its hands and mold it into a sphere. In a couple of seconds, the energy became a large compressed sphere of raw power. Clefairy then hurled the sphere of raw power towards Ledyba. As the sphere connected with Ledyba, Ledyba then flew back as it was crying out in pain as the sphere was crushing Ledyba’s tiny body.

“Ledyba are you okay?!” Anthony asked as it was concerned after Ledyba had taken a direct hit.

“Time to finish Ledyba off Clefairy! Rena said with a vengeful voice. Use metronome one more time!”

As Clefairy started to move its index fingers side-to-side again, Anthony thought to himself, “Great another metronome…the first one was powerful enough and surprisingly Ledyba pulled through that dragon rage attack, but I doubt he’ll be able to withstand another random attack.”

Clefairy then stopped and Rena yelled, “Clefairy, use metronome now!”

Clefairy then started to move its body back as it was ready to charge something. Clefairy then moved forward and began to be engulfed in flames. Clefairy then started to fun towards Ledyba who was still trying to get up after being hit by the dragon rage.

“Alright, perfect! It’s a flame wheel attack!" Rena said excited that the metronome chose random attacks that were effective against Ledyba.

Clefairy, who was running towards Ledyba, all of a sudden turned to the right and was going to run into the bottom of a cliff. Clefairy then ran into the cliff and fell down as it was hurting from the damage due to its confusion.

“Whew, that was lucky." Anthony thought. "Good thing Clefairy was still confused, seems that Rena was so excited about the second metronome attack that she forgot about that."

“Man…that was such an amateur move I just made…” Rena thought to herself embarrassed of what just happened.

As the crowd was laughing, Ledyba finally got up and was ready to attack.

“Alright, hopefully that retarded encore attack is over with now, so Ledyba use your comet punch!” Anthony shouted.

Ledyba’s four out of six legs started glowing. Ledyba then started to fly towards Clefairy at high speeds. Ledyba then started to punch Clefairy very rapidly until Clefairy became unconscious.

“What?! How could I have lost?” Rena said as she called back Clefairy into its pokeball and fell on the ground pouting.

Anthony then walked over to Rena and stuck out his hand and said, “See I told you next time we meet I’d beat you." Anthony then helped Rena up and said, "Though you were tougher than I thought you’d be.”

“Heh, don’t worry, this is just one of the many battles we’re going to have, but each battle will have a different outcome." Rena said with a smile. “Well I’ll see you around, I'm going to stay here and train a little, what about you?”

“I'm going to Mt. Moon and then to Cerulean City for my second badge.” Anthony explained to Rena with a confident grin on his face.

“Sounds like fun, well see you around Anthony.” Rena said waving goodbye.

“See you later” Anthony said turned back waving goodbye.

Anthony then started to walk up a path and noticed a sign that said, “Mt. Moon, just about this hill.” Anthony then ran up the hill and noticed there was a Pokemon Center right near Mt. Moon. So Anthony went inside the Pokemon Center and was waiting for his Pokemon to be fully recovered. Anthony then noticed someone reading a newspaper about the robbery at the Pewter City Museum.

A guy, who was reading the paper, looked up and stared at Anthony and then looked back at the paper and then looked back up. Finally the guy yelled, “Hey you’re the kid in the newspaper who stopped Team Rocket from robbing the Pewter City Museum!”

“Well it wasn’t me who stopped the robbery,” Anthony said with a modest voice. Anthony then had a flashback of what really happened.

“Zangoose, use your razor wind attack.” The mysterious trainer said calmly. “Now Zangoose use your iron tail since you’re powered up from the swords dance!”

“Can I have your autograph boy?” the man said ignoring what Anthony said before.

“Huh? Didn’t you hear me before? I didn’t stop Team Rocket, I didn’t even have my Pokemon on me at the time.” Anthony said trying to explain the situation.

“Uh huh…sure, anyways how about that autograph.” The man said not caring what Anthony had to say.

“Ugh…fine here you go.” Anthony said to the man as he was writing his name.

“Hoho, thank you very much boy, I appreciate it.” The man said staring at the autograph.

Anthony then walked up to the receptionist desk and picked up Phanpy’s and Ledyba’s pokeballs. Anthony walked out of the Pokemon Center and walked towards Mt. Moon.

Anthony then was in front of the entrance of Mt. Moon and said, “Okay here we go.” Anthony walked into Mt. Moon and looked around. He saw nothing but trails of caves and stalagmites on the ceilings and ground. The moisture and air was damp and became damper as the cave continued on.

“Man…knowing me I'm going to get lost for sure…" Anthony said looking around wondering which way to go. "Wait! I got an idea. Go Ledyba!”

“Ledy…baa” Ledyba said as it came out of the pokeball.

“Ledyba, use your supersonic attack to find which way to go to get out of here.” Anthony said.

Ledyba then started to make screeches towards the stalagmites and flew left. Anthony then started to follow Ledyba until Ledyba came to a complete stop. Anthony then looked over a big boulder and noticed men using shovels.

“Huh…wonder what they’re doing?" Anthony thought to himself. "Wait I recognize those uniforms. Black shirts and pants with a crimson colored R. It must be Team Rocket, but what are they doing here?”

“Man…if only everything went according to plan at the Pewter City Museum…then we wouldn’t be here doing manual labor looking for stupid fossils…” A Team Rocket member said.

“Yeah I know, if it wasn’t for that stupid kid.” Another Team Rocket member blurted out.

“So they’re still after ancient Pokemon fossils?" Anthony said as he was analyzing the situation. "Oh well…at least this time I can actually stop them since I have you and Phanpy.” Anthony said to Ledyba as he called Ledyba back into the pokeball.

“Heh…find any fossils yet?” A boy asked the three Team Rocket members.

“No we haven’t, but I think we’re close.” A Team Rocket member said to the boy.

“Hey I think I found one!” A Team Rocket member yelled out.

The boy walked over as his long silver hair flew back as the little breeze hit it.

“Hmm…a Dome Fossil…this will revive into a Kubuto." The boy explained. “Not bad, keep on digging for more around this spot.”

“Yes sir!” The Team Rocket member said to the boy.

“I better stop them from digging up more fossils." Anthony said as he grabbed Phanpy’s pokeball. "Hey, you four stop digging up for fossils!” Anthony yelled.

“Who the hell is that?” The silver haired boy said in an apathetic voice.

“Go Phanpy!” Anthony yelled as he threw Phanpy’s pokeball.

“Phan Phan” Phanpy shouted as he came out.

“Are you trying to stop us from our plans?” A Team Rocket member asked Anthony.

“Heh…well yeah!” Anthony said in a confident voice.

“Well if it’s a battle you want, then who am I to stop you?" The silver haired boy said, as he reached for a pokeball under his azure blue jacket. "Go, Sneasel!”

A midnight black colored weasel with three pink leaf-shaped protrusions as a tail came out of the pokeball.

“Sneasel.” Sneasel shouted as it stretched its body.

“Sneasel, get ready to battle." The silver haired boy said. "Use your fury swipes!”

Sneasel then took a running stance. It then started to run towards Phanpy, with its forepaws behind its back.

“Huh? Fury swipes is an attack that requires the Pokemon to have claws…but Sneasel doesn’t have any…" Anthony thought to himself. "Well I better have Phanpy go on the offense then…Phanpy use your tackle attack!”

Phanpy then started to sprint towards Sneasel, but Sneasel jumped into the air to dodge Phanpy's tackle attack and then dove straight towards Phanpy. All of a sudden, long sharp claws came out of Sneasel’s forepaws.

“What?!” Anthony shouted surprised that Sneasel could conceal its claws in its forepaws like a cat.

Sneasel then struck Phanpy once with its claws, then another, and the third time Phanpy flew back into a stalagmite.

“Phanpy are you okay?” Anthony said concerned.

“Heh…its no use, you don’t have enough experience to go against me and Sneasel. I have a nickname as a Team Rocket member…I'm known as The Azure of Ice due to the color of my jacket, and because me and Sneasel have never lost a match together.” The boy said as he pushed his long silver hair back.

“Great…a trainer that hasn’t been beaten when using his Sneasel…just my luck…" Anthony thought to himself. "And to make things worse, his Sneasel has much more speed and power than Phanpy does. What should I do?” Anthony thought to himself.

“Time to finish you off! Sneasel use your icy wind attack!” The boy commanded.

Sneasel then released ice shards and freezing temperature winds towards Phanpy. Phanpy tried to out run the barrage of ice shards and wind, but it couldn’t. Phanpy’s four feet were then frozen solid as it tried to fun away.

“Sneasel, metal claw” The boy said with a stoic voice.

Sneasel walked slowly towards the immobilized Phanpy. As Sneasel walked closer, both of its claws were glowing a metallic shine, and as he got closer to his prey, they began to glow brighter. Sneasel then jumped into the air, diving towards Phanpy and was about to strike him when all of a sudden Sneasel’s metal claw attack was completely stopped by a Pokemon’s iron tail attack.

“Huh? What’s going on?” The boy in the azure jacket said puzzled.

“Heh…seems I made it right on time.” A boy said calmly as his cobalt colored cloak flew with the wind.

“Its…you…the guy from the museum.” Anthony said shocked, as he didn’t expect to find the ivory black colored hair boy in Mt. Moon.

“Heh…your such a loser…I was observing the battle the whole time up from when you first released Phanpy." The boy said.

“Hey…isn’t your name Danny?” Anthony asked.

“Huh…yea it is, how did you know that?” Danny asked Anthony.

“Brock told me your name because I asked him if you were the one who caused all that damage to the battlefield.” Anthony explained the Danny.

“Yeah that was me…Brock wasn’t much a challenge though." Danny said in a cool voice. "But anyways…time to focus on this battle. Zangoose, next time, don’t parry with the opponents attack, demolish it.”

“Zangoose Zan” Zangoose said as he came back down from the air from parrying with Sneasel’s metal claw.

“Phanpy return!” Anthony shouted as a red beam from the pokeball engulfed Phanpy.

“Finally…someone who might pose a challenge to me." The silver haired boy said smiling. "Sneasel use your slash attack!”

“Zangoose, use your slash attack!” Danny ordered.

Sneasel and Zangoose both charged each other with great speed and started to slash each other’s claws with their own.

“Err…Sneasel, fall back and use your quick attack!” The Azure of Ice yelled.

Sneasel then jumped back and quickly charged into Zangoose. Zangoose then flew back into the cave walls, but quickly recovered by jumping off the wall and heading straight towards Sneasel.

“Hey, we better help Hikaru” One of the Team Rocket members said as he reached for a pokeball.

“No! Stay out of this, this is my battle.” Hikaru said with a grin.

“Alright Zangoose, time to finish Sneasel off, use your crush claw attack!” Danny commanded Zangoose. Zangoose’s right claw then became sharper and petite electrical sparks began to materialize around it.

“Sneasel, use your metal claw!” Hikaru shouted. Sneasel’s right claw began to shine that metallic glow as it did before, but this time, its was shining brighter.

Sneasel and Zangoose both hit each other in mid air, with their most powerful attacks. Both Sneasel and Zangoose was sent back flying into several stalagmites due to the explosion when both attacks collided.

“Zangoose, are you okay?” Danny asked concerned since Zangoose had never taken that much damage.

“Zan…goose…” Zangoose said barely able to speak.

Hikaru ran over towards Sneasel and said, “Are you okay Sneasel?”

“Snea…sel…” Sneasel said like Zangoose, barely able to speak.

“Sneasel return!" Hikaru shouted as Sneasel went back into the pokeball. "Well I guess we’re going to leave now guys.” Hikaru said towards the other three Team Rocket members.

“Huh? What about the fossils though?” The Team Rocket members asked Hikaru.

“Don’t worry about it, we got one, and one is good enough for now." Hikaru explained to the other rockets. "As for you…what’s your name?” Hikaru asked the boy in the cobalt blue cloak.

“Its Danny” Danny told Hikaru.

“Well Danny…I acknowledge you as a powerful trainer. No one has ever beaten or tied with my Sneasel, so I congratulate you.” Hikaru explained to Danny.

“Hmm…same with my Zangoose, this was his toughest battle yet.” Danny told Hikaru with a smile on his face.

“Well I’ll see you around Danny, until then…” Hikaru said as a smokescreen engulfed him and the other three rockets. As the smokescreen vanished, there were no signs of Hikaru and the three rockets.

“Zangoose, return.” Danny said as Zangoose was transported back into its pokeball. Danny then walked over to Anthony and said, “You're going to need a lot more experience to go up against Team Rocket.”

“I know…its just that when I saw you battle the other Team Rocket members back at the robbery and then heard about how powerful of a trainer you were from Brock, I thought I would try my luck against them and become more powerful.” Anthony explained to Danny.

“Heh…you're such a loser." Danny said to Anthony. "You need to know your limitations as a trainer, and work harder to get past those limitations to become stronger. As for me…I have a reason to become stronger.”

“Huh, what’s the reason?” Anthony asked Danny curiously.

“…You don't need to know…” Danny said.

“Huh? Where are you going? Anthony asked Danny. The exit is right over here.

Danny turned around and said, “I know, I'm going to train in here, they’re plenty of rocks to use to make Zangoose’s crush claw and iron tail stronger.”

“Oh, okay." Anthony said. "Just wondering, thought you were going to go to Cerulean City to get your second gym badge.”

“I am, but right now, just going there with Zangoose isn’t the best idea.” Danny explained.

Danny then walked further back into the cave until you couldn’t see him anymore. Anthony then walked out of the cave and closed his eyes due to the brightness of the sunshine due to being in Mt. Moon for so long.

“Well time to win my second badge.” Anthony said as he continued to walk towards Cerulean City.

Good chapter, though I didnt really like this part:

“Phanpy use your rollout! Ledyba comet punch! Ledyba supersonic! Phanpy tackle!” Anthony commanded to Phanpy and Ledyba, losing track of time. “Heh, another victory!” Anthony yelled, who had just won his fifth battle in the circle. “Anyone else want to battle?” Anthony asked with a confident tone.

You could have gone into detail for at least the first battle, although I understand that they were unimportant.

8/10 for this chapter

Chapter 7: The Cascade Badge

Anthony, walking along Route 4, saw in the distance a city with ponds and rivers surrounding it.

“That must be it…”Anthony said so only he could hear him. “Cerulean City, the city of water.”

Anthony then walked over several hills and then came to a sign that had on it, “Welcome to Cerulean City, the city of water.”

Anthony was relieved that he finally made it to Cerulean City since all the trouble he went through in Mt. Moon with Team Rocket.

“Alright, time to challenge Misty and win that Cascade Badge!” Anthony yelled as he ran towards the gym.

Anthony then opened the door to the Cerulean Gym and saw a humongous pool with several rubber mats in the water.

“Whoa, talk about an original gym battlefield, I’ve never seen anything like it before.” Anthony thought to himself.

“Welcome to the Cerulean Gym.” A voice said to Anthony that sounded like a young girl.

“Huh? Whose there?” Anthony said wondering where the voice came.

All of a sudden a young red headed girl popped out of the pool swam towards a rubber float.

“Are you…?” Anthony said, but interrupted.

“Yes, I am the Cerulean City gym leader. My name is Misty.” Misty explained to Anthony.

As Misty got out of the pool, she reached for her towel and started to dry herself.

Anthony was thinking to himself, “How could such a hot girl be a gym leader?”

Misty finally finished drying herself and then said to Anthony, “Okay I'm ready anytime you are, so lets begin this gym battle.”

“Heh…okay lets do this.” Anthony said with enthusiasm.

“Well are you just going to stand there on the side or are you going to get on one of the mats in the pool so we can start?” Misty asked Anthony.

“You mean we’re going to be on the mats?” Anthony said shocked.

“Well yeah…it is a water field after all.” Misty said as if Anthony was a retard.

“Oh okay.” Anthony said as he hopping over the space between the side of the pool and the boards.

“Alright the rules are simple, we can use two Pokemon each, and you are allowed to substitute and I'm not.” Misty explained.

“Alright, the rules seem the same as brocks, so it should be easy since they’re the same.” Anthony thought.

As Misty reached for her pokeball, she yelled, “Go Seaking!”

A red and white large goldfish came out of the pokeball and dove into the water.

“Huh? I barely took a glimpse of that Pokemon and now I can’t see it because it’s underwater.” Anthony thought to himself. “Oh well…I’ll just go with aerial attacks, go Ledyba!” Anthony shouted as he threw the pokeball onto a little mat in the pool.

“Ledyba-ba” Ledyba said as it stretched out its little wings in the air.

“Well time to start this battle.” Misty said. “Seaking use your water pulse attack!” Misty shouted.

After a few seconds, all of sudden a compacted sphere of water flew out of the pool and towards Ledyba.

Anthony quickly shouted, “Ledyba use Light Screen!”

A bright yellow barrier then materialized around Ledyba, making it so special attacks are weakened. The compacted sphere then crashed into the barrier knocking Ledyba back, but still compressed the normal damage the water pulse would’ve done.

“Ledyba, use your supersonic!” Anthony commanded.

Ledyba then started to make a screeching noise and shot it towards the pool.

“Huh? What good is that going to do?” Misty thought.

Seaking then popped out of the water swimming out of control.

“But how?” Misty said confusedly.

“Well I knew that water transmits sound thanks to my uncle, because he’s a fisherman and I learned a few things from him, like that.”

“Incredible, I didn’t expect him to know stuff about water battles.” Misty thought to herself. “Oh well…time to start trying, Seaking, use poison stab!” Misty commanded.

Seaking then jumped out of the pool, and charged towards Ledyba.

“Great…light screen doesn’t reduce damage from physical attacks…so Ledyba is going to take the same amount of damage.” Anthony thought.

Seaking then pierced Ledyba with its huge horn on top of its head and injected poison into Ledyba.

“Now the fun begins.” Misty said to Anthony.

“Huh? What do you mean?” Anthony said puzzled. “Huh?!”

Ledyba then was on the little mat, looking really sick.

“Ledyba what’s wrong with you?” Anthony said concerned.

“Well thanks to Seaking’s poison stab, not only did it hurt Ledyba, but it injected poison into him, and now its going to lose strength every second, until it has no more to battle.” Misty explained to Anthony.

“Err…what should I do?” Anthony thought to himself.

As Anthony was thinking on a plan, Ledyba was starting to lose consciousness. About a minute later, Ledyba collapsed and laid there on the mat without moving. After 10 seconds, it was decided, Ledyba was unable to battle.

“Great…this isn’t good…I only have Phanpy left and not only does he have a disadvantage to water attacks, but he cant use any of his attacks due to he would have to hop across the mats and into the water…” Anthony thought.

“Hurry and pick your next Pokemon.” Misty said impatiently.

“Well I guess I have no choice.” Anthony said as he reached for Phanpy's pokeball. “Go Phanpy!”

Phanpy then landed on a small mat, looking around and scared of the water.

“A ground type…Heh this is going to be easy.” Misty said to herself.

“Well Seaking use Aqua Ring!” Misty commanded.

Under the water, a ring appeared around Seaking and started to glow. When Seaking surfaced, all of the damage and scrapes were gone.

“Huh? What happened to all of Seaking’s damage?” Anthony asked Misty

“Heh…aqua ring is an attack that recovers all damage Seaking took.” Misty explained.

“Great…so now Seaking is back at full strength, how can things get any worse?” Anthony thought.

“Seaking use water pulse!” Misty commanded.

Seaking then sucked in air particles into its mouth and created another compacted sphere of water and shot it towards Phanpy.

“Phanpy, defense curl!” Anthony quickly shouted.

Phanpy quickly curled itself into a tight ball. The water pulse hit Phanpy, luckily he took less damage, but the force of the water pulse knocked Phanpy into the water. Phanpy was then panicking in the water, trying to stay afloat.

“Seaking, use whirlpool now that Phanpy's in the water!” Misty ordered.

All of the water in the pool started to swirl in a counter-clockwise formation. As time progressed, the speed and violence of the whirlpool increased. Phanpy was sucked in the whirlpool and was trying to escape.

“Err…there’s no way Phanpy can win…Phanpy return!” Anthony said as the pokeball shot a red light towards Phanpy.

The water from the whirlpool blocked off the red light that was trying to engulf Phanpy.

“Huh? I can’t call back Phanpy?!” Anthony said shocked. “Hey you said I can called back my Pokemon anytime!”

“I did say that…but I'm not stopping you, the whirlpool is, so I'm not going back on my word.” Misty said laughing. “Well I think it’s time that we end the match, Seaking stop using whirlpool!”
The whirlpool started to calm down after a few seconds after Misty gave the order to stop it. Seaking came back up to the surface with Phanpy on its back.

Anthony shocked, he hopped across the mats and went to check on Phanpy.

“Phanpy, I knew I shouldn’t have let you battled…but you were my last choice…I hope you can forgive me.” Anthony said to Phanpy in a depressing voice.

“It was a good battle.” Misty said to Anthony trying to cheer him up. “You can challenge me anytime you want to.”

“Okay I’ll be back after I get stronger.” Anthony told Misty.

Anthony then walked out of the Cerulean Gym and went to the Pokemon Center. Anthony then dropped off Phanpy and Ledyba and went for a walk.

“Man…I can’t believe how easily Misty beat me. Maybe if I had a water Pokemon, I could go head to head with her no problem.” Anthony said.

Anthony then noticed a huge crowd of people and walked over to see what was going on.

“Hey, what’s going on?” Anthony asked a random person.

“There’s a fishing competition, if you can catch a Shellder, that girl up there will trade it for a Poliwhirl.” The guy explained to Anthony.

“Oh…doesn’t that seem like an unfair trade though?” Anthony asked confused.

“Well that girl has a water stone, which helps certain Pokemon evolve, and she really wants an Cloyster.”

“Oh…okay that makes more sense.” Anthony said.

Anthony then registered for the competition and the girl gave him a fishing rod and a net ball, which makes water and bug type Pokemon easier to capture. Anthony then ran on to the river outside of Cerulean City and then cast the fishing rod.

“Okay…so what do Shellder look like again?” Anthony thought to himself. “Oh wait that rights, they look like a tiny amethyst colored clam and have their tongue hanging out.”

About thirty minutes later, Anthony finally got a nibble. Anthony then pulled as hard as he could to catch the Pokemon on the hook. Anthony flew back as he finally pulled up the Pokemon onto the shore and observed it.

“Huh…that doesn’t look like a tiny purple clam…” Anthony said as he looked at the tiny red crab Pokemon, Krabby. “Heh, oh well.” Anthony said as he threw the crab Pokemon back into the river. “This is a lot harder than I thought it would’ve been. “Anthony thought to himself.

Anthony got another nibble and pulled up the hooked Pokemon and said, “ Alright, finally, a tiny clam Pokemon!”

Anthony looked at it and when the Pokemon opened up its shell, Anthony realized it wasn’t a Shellder.

“Huh…I was so sure it was a Shellder…” Anthony said.

What Anthony had actually managed to catch was a Clamperl. Anthony threw the Clamperl back into the river and cast again. About 15 minutes later, he got another nibble.

“This better be a Shellder this time.” Anthony said as he struggled to pull out the hooked Pokemon.

Anthony hurled the hooked Pokemon onto the shore and caught his breath. Anthony looked at it and it wasn’t a Shellder, it was Qwilfish. Anthony then kicked the Qwilfish due to his anger for not encountering a Shellder. The Qwilfish got angry with Anthony for kicking it and shot out spikes from its body in every direction. Anthony then ran for his life and went to a little pond not far from the river he was fishing at before.

“Man…first I lose to Misty and now I can’t find a Shellder…I'm not so lucky today.” Anthony said. “Huh? What this a bite?”

Anthony pulled the fishing rod as hard as he could and barely managed to pull out the Pokemon. A tiny clam Pokemon came out of the pond and stuck its tongue out at Anthony.

“Err…that stupid Shellder sticking its tongue out at me…Huh? Wait a Shellder!” Anthony said as he finally noticed it was a Shellder. “Alright time to capture you so I can get that Poliwhirl. Net ball, go!” Anthony yelled as he threw the teal colored ball with a net design around it towards the Shellder.

Anthony was then staring at the pokeball waiting for it to stop moving, after about 15 seconds, the net ball stopped moving.

“Alright! I finally caught that Shellder!” Anthony said happy that he finally caught it. “Now time to go back to the girl and trade it for that Poliwhirl.

Anthony ran towards the place where the competition was being held. He noticed that the girl was still there, waiting for someone to capture a Shellder.

Anthony walked up to the girl out of breath and said, “Hey, I caught that Shellder that you wanted.”

“Thank you so much.” The girl said to Anthony with a joyful voice. “I’ve been waiting so long to get a Cloyster ever since I saw Lorelei use one on TV.”

Anthony and girl went to the Pokemon Center and went to where the trade machine was. Anthony placed the net ball in the right slot and the girl placed the pokeball that had Poliwhirl in the left slot. The two pokeballs levitated and went through the machine and each ball landed on the opposite slot it was on.

“Go, Shellder!” The girl shouted.

“Shellder-shell.” The Shellder said.

The girl then took out a stone that was blue and had bubble on the inside of it and she placed it next to Shellder. Shellder than began to glow and was changing form. The tiny clam Pokemon then looked like a gray multi-layered shell Pokemon with spikes coming out of it. As the shell opened up you could see a black ball with a evil looking face on it.

“So that’s a Cloyster huh?” Anthony said.

“Thank you so so much.” The girl said Anthony.

The girl then called back Cloyster into the net ball and then ran out of the Pokemon Center.

“Well time to see Poliwhirl.” Anthony said as he reached for Poliwhirl’s ball. “Go Poliwhirl!”

A large blue amphibious frog like Pokemon came out of the ball. As Poliwhirl was standing up on its two legs, Anthony was checking out the counter-clockwise swirl on its chest.

“Poliwhirl return!” Anthony said as the red light from the pokeball engulfed Poliwhirl. “I bet I’ll be able to stand up to Misty now that I have a water Pokemon.”

Anthony then picked up Phanpy and Ledyba from the nurse and ran towards Cerulean Gym once again.

Anthony walked in and shouted, “Misty, I'm ready for a rematch!”

“Back so soon?” Misty said as she was drying off her pokeballs. “It’s only been about an hour in a half.”

“A lot has changed since then…” Anthony said in a confident voice.

“Oh okay…then let me see how much stronger you’ve gotten.” Misty said.

Anthony and Misty both got on the mats and began their battle.

“Go Seaking!” Misty shouted.

“Go Ledyba!” Anthony yelled.

Seaking immediately went underwater as Ledyba immediately went up in the air.

“You know last time Ledyba lost to Seaking.” Misty said.

“I know that, but this time I got a plan.” Anthony said.

“Well lets see if you do, Seaking use Rain Dance!”

Clouds then started to materialize over the pool and rain started to pour down at a fast rate.

“Thanks to Rain Dance, not only does Water attacks power increase, but Seaking’s speed also increases.” Misty explained to Anthony.

“Great…a power and speed increase…not mention the rain is also making it hard for Ledyba to fly.” Anthony said to himself. “Ledyba, quick, use your new attack!”

“Huh? New attack?” Misty said puzzled.

“Use giga drain!” Anthony shouted.

Ledyba then started to stare at Seaking. Particles started to come out of Seaking’s body and then go inside of Ledyba.

“Huh? What’s going on?” Misty said confused.

“Ledyba is absorbing all of Seaking’s energy.” Anthony explained.

“But why, if Ledyba knew giga drain, how come you didn’t use it last time?” Misty asked Anthony.

“Because Ledyba didn’t know it, but the nurse told me I should teach Ledyba giga drain because it’s a powerful grass type attack.” Anthony told Misty.

Seaking then collapsed underwater as all of its energy was sucked out of its body.

“Err…Seaking return!” Misty said in a dismayed voice.

“Alright, one down and one to go!” Anthony said excited that he took down the Pokemon he had so much trouble with before.

“Time to get serious.” Misty said as she reached for her pokeball.

“Huh? What kind of pokeball is that?” Anthony asked Misty.

“It’s called a dive ball, and it’s used to catch Pokemon that live underwater.” Misty explained. “Go Corsola!” Misty yelled.

A pink and white Pokemon that looked like coral came out on the mat. It was jumping up and down on the mat happy to be out of the pokeball.

“Alright Corsola, use spike cannon!”

Corsola’s body then started to glow and all of its spikes came closer together. Corsola then started to fire several spikes at Ledyba.

“Ledyba, use light screen!” Anthony commanded.

A yellow barrier materialized around Ledyba right before the spikes hit him.

“Alright Ledyba, now use giga drain!” Anthony ordered.

As Ledyba started to stare at Corsola, Misty said, “The same attack won’t work on me again, Corsola, use Mirror Coat!”

Corsola then began to glow a pink aura around its body. As the giga drain started to work, the attack was send back to Ledyba, so Ledyba took the damage instead of Corsola. Ledyba dove straight onto the mat with no energy to stop its fall.

“Err…Ledyba return!” Anthony shouted.

“Heh, now you’re going to use your Phanpy which has no chance against Corsola.” Misty said.

“Your wrong.” Anthony contradicted Misty. “I got another Pokemon after the battle, which has a greater chance of beating you than Ledyba and Phanpy does combined. Go Poliwhirl!”

Poliwhirl then landed on a mat and said, “Poli poli.”

Misty looked at the Poliwhirl and said, “What a cute Pokemon!!”

“Huh?” Anthony said as he fell in shock. “What do you mean cute?”

“Well as a water Pokemon trainer, I love all water Pokemon, and your Poliwhirl is adorable.” Misty explained.

“Gee… thanks…” Anthony said. “Can we just finish the battle?”

“Fine, Corsola, Spike Cannon!”

Corsola then began to glow again and fired several spikes towards Poliwhirl.

“Poliwhirl, use your doubleslap to reflect those spikes!” Anthony ordered.

Poliwhirl then started to slap the spikes away from it sending them in other directions.

“Not bad…but try this, Corsola use psychic!” Misty shouted.

Corsola’s eyes then started to glow yellow and then Poliwhirl suddenly had a yellow aura around itself. Corsola then nudged to the left and Poliwhirl flew to the left, and fell into the water.

“Great…now Corsola is controlling Poliwhirl’s movements.” Anthony said.

Poliwhirl then flew up out of the water and was levitating in the air.

“Hmm…what attack should I finish him off with?” Misty pondered.

“Err…wait that’s it! Poliwhirl use Hypnosis!” Anthony shouted.

Poliwhirl’s eyes then started to glow blue and then Corsola then started to fall asleep.

“What?!” Misty said shocked that Poliwhirl used hypnosis.

Now that Corsola was just lying there sleeping the Poliwhirl stopped levitating and was falling.

“Alright Poliwhirl, use body slam!” Anthony order. “Since Poliwhirl was already dropping from the air at incredible speeds, the body slam should have more of an impact to it.” Anthony thought.

Poliwhirl was dropping straight towards Corsola and crashed right into it. The impact was so powerful that the mat was completely destroyed.

“Whoa…what power.” Anthony thought to himself.

Poliwhirl came out of the water and jumped back onto a mat, while Corsola was still underwater. About fifteen seconds later, Corsola surfaced and was unconscious.

Misty shocked that Corsola lost, said, “Corsola return!” “Well Anthony since you beaten both of my two Pokemon, you are the winner!” Misty said with a smile.

“Alright!” Anthony said cheerfully.

Anthony and Misty both jumped off of the mats and walked towards each other. Misty then took out a badge that looked like a blue rain drop from her pocket and handed it to Anthony.

“Here you go, you earned it.” Misty said.

“Alright, I got my second badge!” Anthony yelled out.

“Haha, so where are you going now? To get your third badge?” Misty asked Anthony.

“Well…after challenging you without even a plan at first and then losing, I think I'm going to train a little bit before I challenge another gym leader.” Anthony told Misty.

“Seems like a good idea.” Misty said.

Anthony then walked out of the Cerulean Gym and then headed up to a bridge.

“Huh…the five trainer challenge…seems interesting.” Anthony said. “It says I can only use one Pokemon and I have to battle my way to get across the bridge. If I manage to get across the bridge, then I get a prize…” Anthony read. “So all I have to do is win five battles with one Pokemon? Seems easy enough.” Anthony thought.

Anthony then chose his Phanpy as his one Pokemon and began to make his way to the first trainer.

shove 'er in! ;O
Ya know, you should put in some sub plots in CeruleanCity like tha fishing contest. He basically loses, challenges then wins. Maybe you should put one whole chapter on losing, then another on the victory and go more in depth.

Secondly, Anthony doesn't seem to mad that he lost but, that was MO.

Good Luck

Divinity_123- thanks for the advice, i thought about making losing one whole chapter, but for me that would seem kinda hard since im not used to typing a lot of pages. So thats why i thought i would add the fishing contest, not only to pass the time, but also to get a valuable pokemon. And yea anthony seemed more sad about losing than mad to me.

Divinity_123

shove 'er in! ;O
Meh, try to go into detail. Maybe say what he did in the passing hours that when he was waiting for the contests to start. What was he thinking about? Or even, let him train or something. Well, add somemore things. Maybe he could,ve stayed in Cerulean a couple of days to train harder then he could've faced the gym leader.

Like I've said before, Good Luck with your future chapters.

ok guys heres chapter 8, hope you enjoy it:

Chapter 8. The Five-Trainer Challenge

Anthony reached for Phanpy's pokeball and started to make his way to the first trainer.

“Hi there, my name is Terry.” A boy in a blue shirt said nicely. “Are you going to try the five trainer challenge?” Terry asked.

“Yeah I am, my name is Anthony, so how does this five trainer challenge work?” Anthony asked Terry.

“Well first, you can only use one Pokemon for the five battles, not only is this challenge about strength, but endurance too.” Terry explained. “After you pick your Pokemon, then it’ll be a one on one fight. If you win, you advance to the next trainer and then so forth until you beat all five trainers. After you beat all five trainers, then you’ll get a special prize.”

“A special prize huh…seems worth it.” Anthony said. “Alright how about we start this battle.”

Anthony reached for his pokeball and released Phanpy.

“A Phanpy huh…don’t see many trainers with that.” Terry commented. Terry reached for his Pokemon and yelled, “Go Lombre!”

Lombre was green, and had a huge lotus on top of its head like a sombrero.

“A Lombre is a grass and water type, a strange type combination.” Anthony thought to himself. “Oh well, I’ll just go with the offensive, Phanpy tackle attack!”

Phanpy then lunged itself towards Lombre with great speed.

“Lombre dodge and use nature power!” Terry shouted.

Lombre jumped out of the way of the tackle attack and started to gather leaves that were on the bridge. Lombre then threw the leaves toward Phanpy.

“Phanpy get out of the way!” Anthony commanded.

Phanpy hastily dodged the barrage of leaves as they barely missed Phanpy.

“Huh? How could those leaves be that sharp?” Anthony thought staring at them.

“I can tell by the way your face is, your wondering how could ordinary leaves be that sharp? Well its easy, Lombre basically put some of its energy into the leaves to make them more deadly.” Terry explained to Anthony.

“Great…a Pokemon that can turn ordinary leaves into a knife…” Anthony said quietly. “Heh, great…this is going to be fun.” Phanpy use rollout!” Anthony shouted.

Phanpy then started to roll towards Lombre with great speed picking up more momentum as time progressed.

“Rollout huh…I got the perfect move to render it useless.” Terry thought to himself. “Lombre use leech seed!”

“Leech seed?” Anthony said puzzled.

Lombre shot a tiny seed out of his lotus toward Phanpy. The seed then landed on Phanpy and vines came out of the seed and restricted Phanpy.

“Great, now he stopped Phanpy’s rollout attack too.” Anthony said. “Huh? What’s happening to Phanpy?”

Phanpy then started glowing red and was crying out in pain.

“Leech seed not only constricts Phanpy, but now it’s sucking all of Phanpy's energy out of him.”

“Err…what can Phanpy do in order to stop that leech seed…” Anthony pondered. “I don’t know what I can do…I guess me and Phanpy lost this one.”

Phanpy’s tail then started to glow a metallic color.

“Huh? Could it be…it is…Phanpy just learned Iron Tail.” Anthony said in an excited voice. “Phanpy use iron tail to break that net!”

Phanpy then slashed it tail threw the net that was sucking its energy and broke through it.

“Impossible…” Terry said in disgust.

“Phanpy, use iron tail on Lombre!” Anthony commanded pointing at Lombre.

Phanpy then charged forward and jumped into the air and started spinning in a ball and then turned around and hit Lombre with its metallic tail. Lombre then was sent flying into the ropes of the bridge.

“Lombre return…” Terry said. “Well I guess you win Anthony.”

“Alright!” Anthony shouted as he jumped up in the air.

Anthony then sprayed Phanpy with a potion to regain its energy for the next battle. Anthony and Phanpy then continued to walk towards the next trainer on the bridge. Anthony and Phanpy then came up to a girl that had brown hair in a ponytail.

“So you’re my next challenge?” The girl said looking at Anthony.

“My name is Anthony and I'm here to challenge the second trainer for the five trainer challenge.” Anthony said.

“Well I'm the second challenge trainer, my name is Lindsey.” She told Anthony. “Alright lets just skip to the battle, go Growlithe!”

Lindsey’s Pokemon looked like an orange puppy with black tiger like markings and cream-colored fur on its head, chest, and tail.

“I'm fighting a dog now…” Anthony said with a disappointed look.

“What are you scared of fighting dogs?” Lindsey commented.

“No…its just that I thought it would be something more to worry about.” Anthony said smiling.

“Err…Growlithe use ember!”

Growlithe then shot a barrage of tiny flames towards Phanpy.

“Phanpy quick, use defense curl!”

Phanpy quickly went into a firm ball and took the barrage of tiny flames head on.

“Phanpy are you okay?” Anthony asked as Phanpy got out of the ball.

“Phan-phan.” Phanpy shouted.

“Alright then, Phanpy use rollout!”

Phanpy then started to roll towards Growlithe in a ball picking up speed.

“Growlithe use flame wheel!” Lindsey shouted.

Growlithe then was covered in a ball of fire and charged towards Phanpy. Both Phanpy and Growlithe collided.

“Phanpy you can do it!” Anthony encouraged Phanpy.

Phanpy then went through the ball of fire and hit Growlithe directly sending Growlithe flying back into Lindsey.

“Ouch!” Lindsey screamed as Growlithe flew into her.

“Are you okay Lindsey?” Anthony said as he ran to check on her.

“Yeah I'm fine, just that I didn’t think your Phanpy was that strong after battling the first trainer.”

“Oh, well I healed Phanpy before coming here, just incase the next trainer was strong and I'm glad I did heal him.” Anthony explained to Lindsey.

“Well good luck Anthony.” Lindsey said as Anthony and Phanpy were walking towards the next trainer.

Anthony and Phanpy were walking towards the next trainer with Anthony noticed a little boy standing there.

“Hey do you know where the third trainer is for the five trainer challenge?” Anthony asked the little boy who had a hat on.

“Yeah I do…he’s me.” The little boy said to Anthony.

Anthony then staring at the little boy started to hold in his laughing.

“What you don’t believe me?!” The little boy shouted.

“I thought all the trainers were skilled trainers…and to think a little boy is the third trainer.” Anthony assumed.

“Well the five trainers are all in a different age group.” The little boy said. “My name is Eric.”

“Well Eric…how old are you?” Anthony asked curiously.

“I'm seven in a half.” Eric said with a pleasing smile.

Anthony holding in his laughter said, “Seven in a half?” Anthony then started to burst out laughing as he couldn’t hold in his laughter anymore.

“Err…Go Tyrogue!” Eric shouted as he threw his pokeball.

A small, pale-purple skinned humanoid fighter with bandage-like cloths wrapped around its torso and wrists came out of the pokeball ready to battle by taking a martial arts stance.

“Alright lets finish this off quick Phanpy, use iron tail!” Anthony said as he knew he would win easily.

“Tyrogue dodge and then use hi jump kick!” Eric commanded.

Tyrogue jumped out of the way of the iron tail attack and then pulled his right leg back and then extended it towards Phanpy. Tyrogue then kicked Phanpy into the ropes of the bridge.

“I guess the kids stronger than I thought.” Anthony said. “Phanpy use tackle attack!”

Phanpy then started to charge towards Tyrogue.

“Tyrogue use mach punch!”

Tyrogue quickly ran up towards Phanpy and punched Phanpy across the face.

“What? How could Tyrogue be that fast?” Anthony said confused.

“Tyrogue’s mach punch is an attack that allows him to move at high speed and attack the opponent first.” Eric explained to Anthony.

“Err…if Tyrogue is faster than Phanpy, then all of Phanpy’s attacks are useless.” Anthony thought to himself. “Maybe if Phanpy does…no that won’t work…”

“Tyrogue finish Phanpy off with Mega Punch!”

Tyrogue then pulled its fist behind its head and began charging towards Phanpy. Phanpy was still lying on the ground due to Tyrogue’s last attack. Tyrogue’s fist then began to shine as he got closer towards Phanpy.

“Phanpy quick use iron tail!”

Phanpy struggled to get up and as Phanpy was trying to get up, energy started flowing into it’s tail and it’s tail than began to glow. Tyrogue jumped into the air and pulled out his fist and started to dive towards Phanpy. Phanpy then jumped into the air and turned around so its tail could make contact with Tyrogue’s fist. Phanpy's iron tail then parried Tyrogue’s mega punch, and then Phanpy did a back flip in the air so the iron tail hit Tyrogue from under the chin.

“Tyrogue return!” Eric said disgusted that he lost to Anthony.

Anthony then walked over to Eric and said, “ You know you’re a lot stronger than I gave you credit for.” “I can see how you became the third trainer out of five for the five trainer challenge.”

“It’s about time you acknowledge my greatness as a trainer.” Eric commented smiling.”

“Well see you later Eric.” Anthony said as he and Phanpy were walking towards the fourth trainer while waving goodbye.

Anthony and Phanpy then encountered a boy that had a red vest on.

“My name is Tyson, and I'm the fourth trainer out of five.”

“My name is Anthony and I'm here to beat you and the fifth trainer and claim that special prize.” Anthony told Tyson.

“Well your going to have to get past me.” Tyson said as he reached for his pokeball. “Go Sableye!”

Sableye are somewhat humanoid bipedal figures with purple coloration and have crystals as eyes.

“Whoa…I’ve never seen a Sableye before.” Anthony said while examining the gremlin like Pokemon.

“Now the fun begins…Sableye use night shade!”

A sinister shadowy beam came out of Sableye’s eyes and knocked Phanpy back.

“Phanpy are you okay?” Anthony asked concerned about Phanpy’s energy. “Phanpy use rollout!”

Phanpy then started to roll towards Sableye and knocked Sableye back into the air.

Sableye then did a back flip and shot a shadowy vortex out of its hands and towards Phanpy.

“A shadow ball attack?!” Anthony said caught off guard due to Tyson never gave Sableye the order to use it.

“Yeah, Sableye has a habit of shooting off random shadow balls during a battle.” Tyson explained.

“Phanpy continue on with the rollout attack!” Anthony said. “The rollout attack should be able to break through that shadow ball.” Anthony thought to himself.

Phanpy continued on rolling towards the shadow ball. Phanpy struggled to break through the shadow ball as Phanpy was getting cuts. Phanpy barely managed to pushed through and continued to roll towards Sableye. Right as Sableye landed onto the ground, Phanpy collided into him.

“Sableye return!” Tyson said as the red light engulfed Sableye. “I have nothing else to say, go to the last trainer.”

“Gee…you don’t have to be a sore loser.” Anthony said as he walked towards the final trainer.

Anthony sprayed Phanpy with his last potion knowing that the last trainer would be the toughest out of all of them.

Anthony came up to a man who had a plaid shirt on and asked, “ Are you the fifth trainer for the five trainer challenge?”

“Yes I am…I'm surprised someone actually made it this far with just one Pokemon.” The man said as he scratched his head. “My name is Cliff and I'm the last trainer for the five trainer challenge.”

“Alright, then how about we do this Cliff?” Anthony said as Phanpy was rearing to go.

“Fine, lets end this…Go Cubone!” Cliff shouted.

Cubone has a small brown colored body with a skull helmet over its face. Cubone usually has a long bone in its hand behind its head.

“A Cubone huh?” “Lets see…Cubone’s a ground type like Phanpy, so neither of us should have the advantage.” Anthony thought to himself.

“Cubone get ready for battle.”

Cubone then swung around its bone in its right hand to warm up.

“Alright Phanpy use tackle attack!”

Phanpy then ran towards Cubone, but Cubone didn’t move at all trying to dodge the tackle attack.

“Huh? What’s Cubone waiting for?” Anthony said to himself.

“Cubone now, use iron head.” Cliff said calmly.

Cubone’s skull helmet then started to glow a metallic color.

“Iron head? I thought there was only iron tail, steel wing, and metal claw that were physical steel type attacks.” Anthony commented caught off guard.

“Nope, iron head is a new attack.” Cliff explained.

Cubone then rammed into Phanpy with his steel like skull and knocked Phanpy back through the air.

“Phanpy are you okay?”

“Phan-phan” Phanpy shouted as it got its bearings back.

“Phanpy try a rollout attack!” Anthony shouted.

Phanpy then charged towards Cubone spinning in a ball.

“Cubone I want you to use double team.” Cliff told Cubone.

Cubone then made multi images of itself to confuse Phanpy. Phanpy not knowing which one to attack rolled into a couple of the images.

“Err…Phanpy's not hitting any of them.” Anthony said quietly.

“Cubone now use bonemerang!” Cliff shouted.

All of the Cubone images that were left threw their bones toward Phanpy. Phanpy kept on rolling towards the Cubone’s even though bones were pummeling it.

“Phanpy hang in there!” Anthony shouted to boast Phanpy's morale.

Phanpy then rolled through all of the bones and into several other Cubone’s until it hit the real one. Cubone was then knocked unconscious as it flew back towards Cliff.

“Cubone return!” Cliff said annoyed that he lost. “Well congratulations Anthony, you have won the five trainer challenge.” Cliff said with a smile. “Just proceed towards the end of the bridge until you see a guy at the end. He will greet you and give you your prize.”

“Okay thanks a lot Cliff.” Anthony said with a smile as he called back the exhausted Phanpy and walked toward the end of the bridge.

Anthony then made it to the end of the huge bridge and noticed a guy wearing a black t-shirt.

“Congratulations boy, I'm impressed that you have passed the five trainer challenge.” The man said to Anthony shaking his hand.

“Thanks a lot, but what’s the prize?” Anthony asked the man.

“The prize is something hardly anyone ever gets. I'm offering you to be a member of Team Rocket.” The man said with a grin.”

“Huh?! Team Rocket?! I would never join them!” Anthony commented.

“Why not? It’s a once in a life time offer.” The Man said revealing himself as a Rocket.

”I still refuse, I'm not going to change my mind.” Anthony said as he reached for a pokeball.

“Bad choice kid, you could’ve been a high command Rocket, but it’s your loss.” The Rocket said as he reached for a pokeball. “Go Drowzee!”

Drowzee looks like a yellow and brown anteater. Drowzee specializes in physic and sleeping attacks as it enjoys eating dreams and nightmares.

“Drowzee use Hypnosis!” The Rocket ordered.

Drowzee then started to move its hands around and started to make a chanting noise. All of a sudden Anthony started to feel woozy and collapsed.

“Heh…you should’ve joined like I told you kid. What’s this?” The Rocket wondered. “ Well I guess I should take you back to our hideout so you can reconsider.”

The Rocket then took Anthony took the Team Rocket hideout. Anthony then started to regain consciousness and wondered where he was.

“Hmm…where am I?” Anthony said with his eyes barely opened looking around. “Huh? Why are my hands tied behind my back?” “Wait, that Rocket must’ve kidnapped me after I refused to join Team Rocket."

Anthony then tried to reach for his pokeballs in his pouch, but when he barely got his hand in there, he realized his pokeballs weren’t in the bag.

“Err…Team Rocket must’ve also taken my pokeballs too so I can’t escape.” Anthony said. “Great, just great, my day went from being great to going straight to hell!”

Anthony then tried to wiggle himself out of the firmly tied rope, but it was too tight for him to break on his own. Anthony then moved himself closer to the door as he heard voices from the outside. Anthony then stuck his ear next to the door.

“Yeah, everything’s going according to plan, no one has suspected anything that our hideout is under the game corner in Celadon City.” A voice spoke.

“Good, now we just have to make sure that it stays that way.” Another voice said.

“Huh?! I'm in Celadon City?!” Anthony shouted. “Err…the next gym that was closest to Cerulean though was Vermillion City…Celadon is really far away from Vermillion.”

“Huh? Did you hear something?” A voice from the outside said.

“Must’ve been that boy that that rocket kidnapped and thought would make a good addition to Team Rocket.” The voice commented.

“Hmm…well I'm going to see who it is.” The voice said as it got closer to the door.

Anthony then moved back to where he was before as fast as he could before the Team Rocket member opened the door. As the door opened, a boy with a azure colored cloak and silver hair was noticeable.

“No way…its that guy from Mt. Moon…” Anthony said to himself.

“You…I met you in Mt. Moon…” The young boy said as he flipped his hair off to the side. “I'm surprised Team Rocket thought of you to be a valuable member, you must’ve improved since I last saw you.”

“I have, I'm lot stronger than I was back then.” Anthony commented.

“Heh…I doubt it…” Hikaru said in an apathetic voice. “Well I’ll see you later, what’s your name again?”

“I don’t feel like telling you.” Anthony said as he turned his head away.

“Fine, well my name is Hikaru, remember it.”

Hikaru then left the room and Anthony was wondering how he would get out of here.

Anthony then noticed there was a letter opener on the desk on the other side of the room. Anthony then wiggled over there and tried to reach for it. Anthony couldn’t reach for it, so he rammed the desk hoping it would fall. The letter opener fell, but cut Anthony’s hand a little bit. Anthony then started to rub the letter opener against the rope cutting through it.

“Alright, now that I got that rope off of me, now its time to get out of here. But first I need to get out of here and locate my pokeballs without being noticed.”

I liked this chapter. The battles on Nugget Bridge were entertaining, and I like that Team Rocket took you to their hideout. The plot thickens. Cant wait for next chapter.
