The Adventures of Yoshi

Chapter 1-In The Jungle

*Note that this story starts in medias res(in other words, in the middle of things, then soon it goes to the beginning)* Anyway, on with the story!

“Yoshi! Are you coming or not?” Tyra asked Yoshi as they all stood upon a fire in the jungle.

Prince Atam sat down on a rock and ate his food while Malcin prepared himself for tomorrow. They had to get Mix back with them or else Yoshi surely won’t find any answers to the mystery of her homeland, Mushai.

Almost everyone in her land has died or disappeared and was never seen again. Only Yoshi and Tyra survived the massacre along with Mix. Prince Atam came from Alcan to get away from his busy life. Malcin, Prince Atam’s advisor, followed him and is also his best comrade.

“Yoshi? Are you all right?” Tyra asked.

She looked at Tyra’s kind, pale face.

“Yes, Tyra. I’m okay. I was just…thinking about Mushai.”
“I know Yoshi but for now you have to eat or you’ll starve yourself to death,” Tyra said as she handed her food to eat.
“Yoshi?” Prince Atam called.
“What is it?” Yoshi asked.
“What’s the matter with you? For the past few days, I’ve been seeing you do nothing but moping around. Is there something wrong? Something went wrong in the past maybe? Tell me about your journeys. I’ve always wanted to hear them.”

Yoshi looked at him in the eye. Then she looked at Tyra, eating her food.

“Nothing.”
“What do you mean nothing? There had to be something going on to make you mope around like that!”
“Now isn’t the perfect time to tell. We have other things to worry about.”
“Fine be that way,” Prince Atam grumbled. "I'm going to sleep. Good night."

Malcin shrugged then followed. Prince Atam went to sleep, angry not to hear about Yoshi’s journeys once again. Tyra then finished her food.

“Why didn’t you tell him? You know how the prince gets,” Tyra said.
“I don’t care how he gets, Tyra. He’s nothing more than a prince.”
“Yoshi, you need to learn more manners to a great prince like him. He has done so many good things.”
“Only his father did that. He’s just walking in his father’s footsteps.”
“Nonsense Yoshi! You’re being foolish, talking about his greatness! He wants to know more about you but you keep on ignoring him! Who knows? He might like you..." Tyra said as she smiled evilly and started to giggle.
“What?! No way! There's no way that he could possibly like me!” Yoshi complained.

Tyra sighed.

“You’ll never understand true love.”
“What???” Yoshi asked, curious. She ran up to her. “You were in love?”
“Oh nothing! It’s all just…a memory now,” Tyra said sadly.
“Who was it?”
“I rather not tell you. Now is not the perfect time.”
“Tyra, please tell me! I won’t tell! Honest!” Yoshi whined.

Tyra looked at Yoshi straight in the eye.

“Fine, I might as well tell…”
“Yay!” Yoshi cheered. "Wait, what's the catch?"
“Oh nothing! I'll tell you mine only if you tell the prince of your past.” Tyra said sneakily.

Yoshi sighed.

“Tyra!”
“It’s true. If you want to know my past, then you should tell yours first so that the prince won't annoy you anymore.”
“Hmm...good point. Your wish is my command Tyra,” Yoshi said with a sigh.
“Now Yoshi, we shall both get to sleep. You don’t want to be cranky tomorrow…”
“I do not get cranky! Do I?”
"Sometimes."
"Oh."
“Let's go to sleep now.” Tyra said as she yawned. "Good night Yoshi."
“Night Tyra!” Yoshi replied as she slept.

The sounds of the jungle are musical and odd but so beautiful to hear at night. They all slept to the animals’ sounds.

Yoshi however, tried to sleep but her memories of her homeland, Mushai kept her awake. She opened her eyes and gleamed at the stars of the night.

Prince Atam awoke to the sounds of the wind. He saw Yoshi, alone, looking at the moonlight.

“Yoshi, why aren’t you sleeping?”
“I just…can’t sleep,” Yoshi replied.
“But why?”
“Do you really want to know why I’m out here?”
“I suppose. I’ve always wondered why a exquisite maid like you would be out here,” the prince said.

Yoshi slightly blushed.

He thinks I'm cute does he? Hmm...Yoshi thought.

“You’re so lucky, unlike me,” Prince Atam said, staring at the stars.
“Huh? I don’t understand.”
“You should be thankful that you have freedom Yoshi,” Prince Atam said.
“So? You have power.”
“But it’s not the same.”
“Nothing’s the same for you!”
“What do you know? Nothing! No one knows anything about my life!” Prince Atam yelled.
“But…”
“So you really want to know what the rich life is like! Well! My father never comes home; my mother doesn’t care about anything except but a suitor for me, a bunch of girls are always chasing me, trying to make me love them, and I never get to leave the castle!” Prince Atam raged out.
“I had no idea that the rich life is really a bummer!” Yoshi said as she thought about it.
“See, power is one thing but freedom is just wonderful!”
“You’ll never understand the average life!”
“But it’ll make me happier.”
“That’s what you think!”
“I ran away for that reason with my companion Malcin. Consider yourself lucky Yoshi.”
“Oh…I never knew that,” Yoshi replied.
“Well, now you know. Please tell me about your past now that I told you mine. I want to know more about you.”
“Are you just saying that?” Yoshi asked sarcastically.
“Maybe, maybe not.”
“Very well then. I'll tell you but you won’t like it.”
“Don't worry. I can take it on.”
“Okay then.” Yoshi said as she sat down and began her story.

What do you think of my story so far? Sorry if this chapter is boring but Chapter 2 will be much more intense! Plz reply!

Ok, ppl. Chapter 2 is up now. Now the story is going to go back to the beginning and this is in Yoshi's point of view. I warn you, this chapter is intense! Anyway, Enjoy!

The Adventures of Yoshi

Chapter 2-Note:this is Yoshi's point of view just to remind you! ^_^; I hope I'm not being a pain!

It all started in Mushai six weeks ago. I lived there, along with my family, friends, and Mix. Mushai was an exotic place beyond your wildest dreams. Everyone there was happy, friendly, and cheerful.

One day, my friends and I decided to race to the top of the highest hill in our land or in other words, Mushai Point.

“Come Yoshi, why do we race to see who's the swiftest to reach Mushai Point?” Sasha asked.
“Okay then, I'll take on your challenge,” I replied, ready to race.

We both got into a spot where to start for the race. Soon, children of all ages rushed by to watch whether who would win the race. Sasha and I knelt down on the soft dirt and looked straight ahead. A boy stood in front of us.

"Okay, the race is between Yoshi VS Sasha. On your marks, get set..."
"Wait!"
"Huh???"

A girl stood in front of us, blocking our way. Sasha and I stood up as we both looked at the girl. She was tall and thin but looked swift.

"You need to go to the sidelines." the boy said.
"I don't want to go to the sidelines." the gril replied.

Sasha and I glanced at each other, then looked at the boy and then finally the girl.

"Why not?"
“Because I want to race too.”
“Well...fine then." the boy said.
"What's your name?" Sasha asked.
"Timba." she replied.
"We have a late entry so now we have three competitors! Okay then, the race is now between Yoshi, Sasha, and Timba! On your marks, get set…go!” a boy exclaimed as we started to run.

The crowd was cheering happily. We raced as we passed the forest that was our first obstacle. I struggled to get through and so were the others. They both gave me unfriendly grins as we ran. I glared back at them as we all got out of the murky forest. We ran quickly until we passed Mushai River, and eventually saw Mushai Point. The wind was at my face, telling me to go on. I felt confident as I passed Timba and Sasha left behind. I ran more, reaching the top Mushai Point.

“Yes!!! I won, I won, I…” I gasped as I noticed there was a great fire in Mushai.

I saw people dying, getting stabbed by these people and burning in the fire. People were running away, trees were burning, animals running, and buildings were destroyed by people and from the fire. I went downhill to go help my people. I ran as fast as my feet could carry me until I reached the forest. The ground began to shake and I saw no one in sight. There, I saw the most horrible thing; Timba and Sasha were lying on the ground, chopped up to pieces. I screamed, calling for help.

“Somebody help!” I screamed, running down the hill, seeing more people dead.

I saw all the kids who were watching the race, dead. The sight of all the people dead horrified me until I lost my balance and fell. I got up coughing at the smoke and tried to cover my nose from further harm. I ran up to my house as I saw my mother, stabbed with a sword. I ran up to her with tears on my face.

“Mother! What happened here?” I asked, trying to catch my breath.
“Yoshi, run while you still can. You can still survive,” my mother said.
“No, I can’t leave without you!”
“Yes you can. You must go now before they find you.”
“But mother…”
“Mix will be with you, he'll take care of you.”
“But mother, you can still survive!” I said as I pushed and took out the sword from my mother.

The sword came out with blood at the edge.

“You can still make it…”
“I can’t anymore Yoshi. Now go Yoshi! Go! Please…” my mother yelled.
“I love you,” I said as tears fell from my face.
“And I love you and always remember…I’ll be with you no matter what…” my mother whispered as she closed her eyes.
“Mother? Mother?” I cried as I shook her a little.

It was no use. She died before I could say goodbye.

Just then, Mix came by and landed on my arm to rest.

“I’m so sorry.”

I tried to push my tears away.

“Let's go Yoshi, we have to get out of here before we’re next!”
“Right,” I said as I looked at my mother one last time.

I kissed her on her cheek as Mix and I ran away with tears on my face again.

“Mix, where are we going?”
“I’ll guide you there.”
“To where?”
“Just keep running!”

We both hid behind a tree.

“General look, a survivor!” a guard exclaimed. “Should I kill her sir?”
“I’ll take care of her,” the general said as he walked near us.
“Yoshi! Over here!” Mix whispered. “Be careful! Someone’s coming!”

I nodded as I walked silently to the tree where Mix was. He started to fly slowly but the general grabbed him!

"Mix!" I exclamied.

The general laughed.

“Now I’ve got you at last! Soon, you'll be under my control!”
“Hey! Leave him alone!" I yelled.
"Now that I've got the chance, I’ll finish you off first!” the general said as he released Mix and unleashed his sword.

He tried to stab me but failed. I was too quick for him. I managed to get a hold of him and looked into his eyes.

“Who are you?!"
"I am the general, here to kill your entire race!"
"Why are you doing this?"
"Children like you won't understand what I'm after! I'm after that bird right there!" he said as he pointed to Mix.
"Mix? What's so special about him?"
"That's for me to know and for you to never find out!"

Now was the perfect time as I stabbed him on his left shoulder. He fell to the ground.

“Now’s our chance Mix! Let’s go!” I said as we both ran for our lives.
“I won't let you get away! Get them!” the general said.

Guards followed us and surrounded us.

“We’re trapped!” I shrieked.
“Not if I can help it. Yoshi, close your eyes,” Mix said as he eyes turned bright yellow.
“Why?”
“Just do it!” Mix said as he sent a blinding light to the guards. I managed to close my eyes just in time.

“Let’s go Yoshi!” Mix said as he transformed into an enormous bird and I opened my eyes. “Hop on!”
“Right!” I said as I climbed on Mix and soared away from Mushai.

As I looked back, I saw the last bits of Mushai.

“I never knew you could transform!”
“I can’t tell everyone about my powers so let’s just keep this a secret.”
“Fine Mix, but where are we going?” I asked.
“I don’t know. You decide.”

I thought for a second and an idea popped into my head.

“To search…” I said.
“Search what?”
“To search who and why someone would attack our homeland.”
“Sounds good to me!” Mix replied. “And Yoshi…”
“Yes Mix?”
“Thank you for saving me.”
“That’s funny. I should be the one thanking you. You saved the both of us.”
“Thanks.”

We soared over the sea until we saw a girl holding on to a piece of wood.

“Mix, look! A girl!”
“Then we should help her before she drowns.”
“Okay.”

Mix flew down to the girl. She looked a little bit older than me and looked injured and weak. I reached my hand to her as he held on and climbed to safety.

“Quickly! Grab my hand!” I said to the girl, worried.

The girl noticed my face. She looked back and saw why I was so worried.

“Sharks!” she shrieked.

The sharks were coming closer to her. I tried to reach my hand and tried to pull her up but she was too heavy.

“Hold on!” I shouted.
“I’m trying!”

Finally, I got her up and put her on Mix just when the sharks jumped for her. They tried to get us but gave up after a while. The girl looked half scared to death.

I sighed.

“That was close!” I said, relieved from the sharks.
“I feel very grateful for your kindness. Thank you for saving me. I thought I was going to die,” the girl said.
“You should thank Yoshi. She saw you,” Mix replied.
“Thank you Yoshi.”
“What’s your name? Where did you come from? How did you get there?” I asked.
“My name is Tyra. I come from Mushai.” Tyra said.
“So you saw the massacre…” I said.
“Yes, it was horrible. I was trying to swim to safety. A person told me to swim to the next island not too far away so I got into the water and swam for my life.”
“You must have been lucky to survive,” Mix pointed out.
“So you’re from Mushai too,” Tyra said.
“Yes, we managed to escape, just barely.”
“Yoshi, we should stop at Ijo to rest for awhile.” Mix said.
“Yes, good idea Mix,” I replied.

We stopped at Ijo, an island full of fruits. We landed on a sandy beach and ate then slept on the soft sand.

The next day, I woke up with an old man and woman with a basket of fruits.

“Welcome to our island young ones!”
“Huh?” I confusedly asked.

Tyra and Mix woke up.

“So sorry to wake you but the tide was coming in and I didn’t want you all to drown!” the old man said.

“That’s okay, thank you,” Tyra said.
“May I ask what is your name?” Mix asked.
“Why, I’m Mr. Brinley and my wife, Mrs. Brinley! Here at our island, we grow fruits and vegetables here as you see,” Mr. Brinley said as he handed us a basket of fruits and vegetables each. “What are your names?”
“I’m Yoshi.”
“My name is Tyra, hello.”
“And I’m Mix.”
“Did you all come from Mushai?” Mrs. Brinley asked.
“Yes, there was a massacre there,” I replied.
“How awful! Who would do such a thing?”
“No one but an army and their general…” I said sadly. “They killed my mother…”
“I’m so sorry,” they both said.
“That’s ok. I still miss her…” I said with a tear coming down from my eyes to my face again.

But Mrs. Brinley wiped it off.

“Don’t worry! Your mother may not be here right now but she’s still in your heart and in your memory and will always be with you no matter what happens to you.” she said wisely.

I thought for a second. I did hear my mother in my mind. I have to admit that Mrs. Brinley made me feel better.

“Thanks Mrs. Brinley,” I said.
“You’re welcome. So, are you three planning to stay or leave?” Mr. Brinley asked.
“Well…” I said, thinking. “What do you think?” I asked the others.
“I think we should find out the truth,” Tyra said.
“Just like you said,” Mix added.

I looked at the sky. It was starting to get dark and gloomy. I didn’t want us to travel in bad conditions.

“How about we set sail tomorrow?” I asked.
“Good idea Yoshi so that we can all get rest and be safe here!” Tyra pointed out.
“I agree,” Mix said. “Is that okay with you Mr. And Mrs. Brinley?”
“Yes, yes! It’s a fine idea indeed! You three can stay as long as you would like but if you need to go tomorrow, then it’s all right with me!” Mr. Brinley said with a smile.
“Then it’s settled! We’ll leave tomorrow!” I said cheerfully.
“Is anyone hungry?" Mrs. Brinley asked.
"You bet!" I said excitedly.
"Then follow us!" Mr. Brinley said as he led the way.

Everyone followed until we were in front of a small hut.

"This way, young ones!" Mrs. Brinley called.

We all glanced at each other but then went inside. Inside, we saw a table full of delicious food. Mix, Tyra, and I drooled at the sight of the yummy food.

"Food!" Mix said happily.
"It's finally lunchtime!" Tyra said as she smiled.
"Everything here looks so delicious!" I said as I glared at the food.
"Dig in you three! You can eat as much as you would like!" Mr. Brinley said as he and his wife started to eat the food.
"Yay!" I cheered as I grabbed my fork and started to eat.
"Let's eat!" Mix said.

Tyra nodded happily as she ate. After a while, everyone finished their food and got full.

"I can't eat another bite..." I said as my stomach growled.
"You got that right." Mix said slowly.

He put his wings on his stomach and was feeling sleepy.

"I think we ate a little too fast," Tyra said as she groaned.
"I need to lay down." I said.
"Me too." Mix agreed.
"I'll throw up if I don't lay down." Tyra said as she struggled to stand up.
“Do you three need a place to sleep for the night? No problem! There are a few homes on this island for anyone to sleep. Our island is technically a rest spot for any travelers to stay,” Mr. Brinley said.
“So you’re the only people here?” Tyra asked.
“Yes but we don’t appear to mind. We like it whenever people come. My son, Thomas, is exploring all over the world with his comrades and my daughter, Sandy, recently got married a few months ago and left for Taoma.” Mr. Brinley said.
“I just wonder how they are,” Mrs. Brinley said. “Oh! Would you three do us a favor?”
“Of course, after all you both did give us food and shelter!” Mix said.
“Thank you. If you see our son or daughter, please tell them to come back and visit us,” Mrs. Brinley said.
“Sure, we’ll tell them that if we see them,” I said.
“Thank you so much!” Mr. and Mrs. Brinley happily said.
“You’re welcome,” we said at the same time.
“I'm tired. I need to rest." I said.
"Me too." Tyra said.
"Me three." Mix added.
“Please excuse us. See you tomorrow!” Tyra said.
“Feel better!” the couple said as they left.
"Thanks!" we said as we waddled to the hut ahead.

I felt like if I was going to collapse alomg with the others. We then finally got to the hut and got ready to sleep for tomorrow.

The next morning, we got up and felt much better. We packed our items and got prepared. Mr. and Mrs. Brinley stood there, watching us.

“Please don’t forget our message,” Mrs. Brinley said.
“You can count on us!” I said confidently.
We all climbed on Mix as he started to fly. Mr. and Mrs. Brinley waved at us, biding us farewell.

“Good-bye!” we all said as we fluttered in the sky with the sea below.
“Now where should we go?” Mix asked.
“Tyra, don’t you want to get somewhere?” I asked her.

She starred at me with her calm eyes.

“No where in particular,” Tyra said. “I lost my family in the tremendous fire so I’ll go wherever you want to go.”
“Oh. I thought you wanted to go to a certain place…” I said.
“Don’t worry Yoshi. I’m not a pain to be around and I barely cause trouble!” she said with a smile.
“If you say so.”
“Okay, someone tell me where we should go,” Mix said.

I thought for a second.

“How about Bushu?”
“Okay then!” Mix said happily.

Mix impatiently flew to the direction of Bushu. We were going lighting fast.

“Mix! Could you at least slow it down?” I asked with my hair in my face.
“Sorry, I thought I saw some land.”
“What land?” Tyra asked.
“I could have sworn I saw land!” Mix said.
“I don’t see anything,” Tyra said.
“Maybe you’re just seeing things,” I said to Mix.
“I know I saw something!” Mix complained.
“Then how come I don’t see it?” I asked.
“Maybe it was a mirage,” Tyra said.
“Oh! Never mind! Just forget it!” Mix said.
“Okay!” I said, annoyed.
“Don’t give me that tone! Your mother told me to take care of you.”
“In case you didn’t notice, you’re a bird and I’m a human!”
“Who said?”
“I said!” I yelled.
“I hate to bring this up but we’re heading straight for a storm!” Tyra fearfully said.
“Huh???” Mix and I said at the same time.

We saw a massive storm forming in the sky. There was no way for us to go. We only saw water in every direction. I just figured that we were lost.

“Great, we’re lost. Thanks to you!” I complained.
“Why you little-”
“Now is not the best time to argue. You both can do that sometime later but right now we have worse troubles!” Tyra cried.

Tyra was right. We had to collaborate in order to survive.

“Yeah,” Mix and I said at the same time.

Soon, fog came and covered the sun that was once shining. It started to get chilly.

"I'm cold!" I complained.
"Do you always have to complain about everything?" Mix asked.
"I just said I was cold!" I whined.
"Here we go again..." Tyra said as she shrugged then sighed with disappointment.

We tried to follow it but the storm was getting worse than ever. We had to get to land or we’re in big trouble. The storm was leading us off course. Then, it started to rain heavily.

"I could use a rain jacket right now." I said as I put my hands on my head.
"Well, I'm sorry that we're being useless right now!"
"Where exactly are we?" Tyra asked as she looked around and saw nothing but rain.
"I don't have a clue where we are Tyra." Mix replied.
"Isn't there an island around here Mix?" I asked.
"What am I? Your travel guide?!" Mix complained.
"In a way, you are," I said coolly.

Mix glared at me. Everyone is afraid of his glare and it takes a ton of effect.

“Keep going Mix!” Tyra yelled over the rain.
“I’m trying!”

It was no use. I had a bad feeling that we would all get killed if we don’t get to land soon. Just then, large waves started to formand it was getting windy.

“Oh no!” Mix said.
“This is not good!” Tyra cried.
“We have to get out of here!” I shouted.

Then, a tidal wave was starting to form. It was getting larger by the minute and I realized that we were all pretty frightened.

“Oh no!” Mix exclaimed.
“We’re going to drown!” Tyra said as she gulped.

I looked at the waves closely and thought this was the end of us.

"Uh oh."

~~~~(Back to 3rd Point of view)
"You guys ran into a tidal wave?" Prince Atam asked.
"Yeah."
"I never noticed that you went throught a lot so far," Prince Atam said as he flashed a smile.
"Thanks. Now can I get back to where I was again?" Yoshi asked impatiently.
"Yes you can. Go right ahead. I'm not stopping you."
"Right..." Yoshi said sarcastically. "Now, where was I? Oh yeah..."
Chapter 3
(Just a reminder! This is Yoshi's past continued ^_~)
We screamed as the waves hit us, pushing us underwater. I saw Mix and Tyra in the water, starting to drown. I reached for Mix and Tyra and I brought them to the surface. I saw land at last. Finally, Mix and Tyra woke up.
“Yoshi?” Tyra weakly asked.
“Hold on to my hand! Another wave is coming!” I shouted.
We held our hands tightly together as the wave went over us. The wave was extremely strong that it threw us on land. We all woke up and smiled.
“Hooray! We survived!” Tyra happily said.
“Finally!” Mix exclaimed.
“Where are we?” I wondered as I looked at the jungle ahead.
“I do not know,” Tyra said, looking around.
“Wait, where’s our food?” I asked, looking.
“Maybe it fell into the water,” Mix said.
“I wanted to eat some grapes,” I moaned.
“Oh well, we should look for food then,” Tyra said.
“We should look in there,” Mix said.
“For us to get lost again? Absolutely not!” I said.
“It was just a suggestion,” Mix said. “Besides, I think we should or we will never know what is in there.”
“That makes sense,” Tyra said.
“I guess so,” I said sternly.
So we went off to explore the jungle. For hours, we’ve been looking around for any person, food, or village. We found nothing at all.
“There’s no point in doing this,” Tyra said.
“Yes, and it’s wasting our time,” I complained.
“Quit stalling! We’ll find something sooner or later… I hope,” Mix said.
We looked around more until I heard something.
“What was that?” I asked.
“I don’t want to know,” Tyra replied.
“Look! Up ahead, there is a stream. Let’s relax for a few minutes and get water,” Mix said.
It was a small stream filled with water and fish to catch. We heard the sound of birds and water flowing calmly. Mix went to drink some water while Tyra ate some berries. I was relaxing under a tree in the shade, enjoying myself. I almost fell asleep until I heard the sound growling at me again.
“I’ll be back. I just want to find out what that sound is,” I said to the others.
“Okay,” Tyra and Mix said, as they were busy eating and drinking the water.
I sighed as I wandered off to search for the sound. I looked through the bushes and saw nothing but bugs.
“Hmm…” I suspiciously said and then shrugged. “Oh well! Back to relaxing then!”
I went back to the shady tree to rest again. I was almost asleep until I heard growling near me.
“That’s not good,” I said to myself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Back to Third person Point of view)

“I turned around when just then, I saw a black panther right in front of me. It was growling at me, ready to kill me. I screamed as it scratched me. I was trying to get away until you showed up…”
“And fought off that feline for you!” Prince Atam finished as he showed off.
“Yes,” Yoshi said as she rolled her eyes.
“That’s amazing Yoshi! You truly are worthy of what your friends said. And I thought you were just an amateur!”
“Excuse me?” she scoffed angrily. “I am not!”
“Well, I thought you were!” Prince Atam said. “But I was certainly wrong about you!”
“You better believe it!” Yoshi said as she crossed my arms. “And I thought you were nothing but a snobby rich prince!” Yoshi said quietly.
“What was that Yoshi?” he asked.
“Oh nothing! Nothing at all!” Yoshi replied.

She was too busy looking at the stars again. Prince Atam noticed her again, as she gleamed her eyes at it. He smiled at her. Yoshi turned back and looked at him and smiled.

“Come on. It’s getting late. We should get to sleep now or we’ll be too tired tomorrow…” Prince Atam said as he broke the silence.
“Yes, I think we should,” Yoshi agreed.
“Very well then! Good night!” Prince Atam said as he got up and went to sleep.
“Good night.” She replied.

The next day came as they were all sleeping. Yoshi was the first to wake up and see the sun shining. Soon, the others were awake.

“It’s such a beautiful morning!” Tyra said with a yawn.
“Is sure is!” Yoshi said as she admired the sun. “Let’s get going!”

Prince Atam and Malcin were busy eating breakfast.

“Hey! We should get going now instead of eating!” Yoshi insisted with her arms on her waist.
“But breakfast is the first meal of the day and it’s the most important meal of them all!” Malcin replied.
“And I certainly don’t want to throw out my breakfast even though I’m enjoying it!” Prince Atam said as he was eating his food.
“Come on Yoshi! Don’t be so stubborn! You should eat anyway and I happen to be hungry,” Tyra said.

Yoshi sighed.

“Fine then, we’ll eat,” she mumbled.

Everyone else jumped with joy.

“Hooray!” Tyra happily said.
“All right!” Malcin said.
“Now I can eat in peace…” Prince Atam said.

Yoshi rolled her eyes.

“Then let’s eat already!” she complained.
“Okay! Not like you have to yell…” the prince said.

Everyone was eating his or her breakfast happily.

“Yoshi, could I talk to you for a second?” Tyra asked Yoshi.
“Sure Tyra,” Yoshi replied.

Tyra and Yoshi started to stand up and began to walk away.

“May I ask where are you both going?” Prince Atam asked.
“Just over there,” Yoshi said as she pointed to another spot. “Why do you ask?”
“Oh nothing.”
“Come Yoshi, let’s go!” Tyra said as she dragged Yoshi.

They both walked to another part of the jungle not too far from where they were eating breakfast.

“Tyra, what is it that you want to talk about?” Yoshi asked curiously.
“I just wanted to ask you whether you told the prince about your adventures,” Tyra replied.
“Oh. Of course I did Tyra!”
“Are you sure?” Tyra asked suspiciously.
“Don’t you believe me?”
“It’s not that, I’ll just ask him myself.” Tyra said as she walked back to where Malcin and Prince Atam were still eating breakfast.
“Where’s Yoshi?” Prince Atam asked.
“She’s coming.”
“Oh.”
“I just want to ask you one thing.” Tyra said.
“What’s your question?”
“Did Yoshi tell you about her past?”
“Of course she did! She told me last night while you and Malcin were sleeping. It was very exciting, hearing about her. I was enjoying it a lot!” he replied happily. “Why do you ask?”
“Just asking.” Tyra said as she ran back to Yoshi.
“What was that about?” Malcin asked.
“I don’t know. Girls are so complicated sometimes!” Prince Atam said as he shrugged.
“Well, what did he say?” Yoshi asked.
“He said that he liked enjoyed it.” Tyra replied.
“Oh. Now that I told my past, you tell me yours,” Yoshi said with a smile.
“Fine I might as well tell you about my past…” Tyra said sadly.

(Note-Tyra’s past begins here)

That faithful day was a horrible fate for many people, including myself. I was just going to the market to get food for my family…and meet Arthur.

“I’ll be back!” I reminded my family.
“Okay Tyra! Be careful!” Dad called.

I walked out of my home and walked on the dirt path that led to the market. After a while, I finally reached the market.

“Hello Tyra!” Mr. Hings said as he greeted me.
“Why, hello Mr. Hings!” I said happily.
“Are you going to buy anything today?”
“Yes, Mr. Hings. Do you have juice?” I asked.
“Of course Tyra!” Mr. Hings said as he handed me juice. “Anything else you would like?”
“Hmm…oh!” I know! Do you have any bread?” I asked.
“Why yes! Yes I do! Just let me look for it.” Mr. Hings said as he looked around and found the bread and gave it to me. “Is that all Tyra?”
“I think so. How much will that be?”
“Just five Mushas,” he said with a smile on his face.

I handed him the money.

“Thank you Tyra.”
“You’re welcome Mr. Hings!” I said as I took the items. “Bye!”
“Goodbye Tyra! Come again!” Mr. Hings said.
“I sure will!” I said as I waved.

I went around the market, looking for Arthur. At last, I saw him, standing, looking straight back at me. I saw his clear hazel eyes staring into my eyes.

“Arthur!”

He smiled.

“Tyra!”

I ran up to him and hugged him as tight as I possibly could.

“What took you so long, my love?” he asked.
“I was buying food for my family.” I replied.
“Did I tell you how much I love you?”
“Only a million times,” I replied to him with a smile and kissed him.

He smiled again.

“Come on precious, you should return the food to your family before they starve…”
“Yes.” I said as he started to walk me back home.

I dreamily smiled at him until Arthur saw some frightened people running from some other people.

“Who’s that?” Arthur asked as he pointed to a group of armed people walking in our city.
“I don’t know. I have to admit that they sure look powerful but not as much as you!” I said.

Arthur chuckled and we both kept on walking, ignoring the men. We both got lost staring into each other’s eyes. I managed to snap out of it as I saw more people running by the minute. We both looked at each other again, concerned what was the matter with the people. I stopped a person.

“Tell me, what is the matter with the people and why are you running?” I asked.
“You must run! Something terrible is happening! Look!” the man said as he pointed to an incredible fire in the distance of our land.

Arthur and I gasped.

“You both must flee the city! It is too dangerous to stay here! An army of people is burning our great land of Mushai. They are killing people.” The man said.
“But my family lives around there! I must go!” I said as I started to run toward my home. Arthur followed.
“Beware of the men! If they see you, they’ll chase you until you’re dead!” the man said as he ran the opposite way.

I felt like crying. Arthur noticed my face of worry.

“Don’t worry Tyra.” Arthur said as he comforted me. “Your family will be fine.”
“I hope so…” I replied.

So, what do you guys think? Chapter 4 is already in construction and it might come tomorrow as long as I get more replies from everyone!

Thanks everyone for the reviews so far! Okay, here's the next chapter!

Chapter 4

(Note-This is Tyra’s past ^_~)

We both ran to my house. By the time we got there, I saw my home burning in flames. The terrible sight horrified me.

“My family!!!” I said as I started to burst into tears. “I’m coming!” I said as I ran to my house.
“Tyra! You can’t go in there!” Arthur said as he held my arm.
“But my family…I can’t leave without them!” I said with more tears on my face.

I heard my family crying for help.

“Tyra! Please help!” my mother cried.
“I have to help them somehow!” I said as I stood up and grabbed a pail with water and threw the water at my house. Arthur helped.
“Tyra! Help!” Ty, my little brother cried.
“I’m trying Ty!” I cried as I grabbed more water.
“Tyra, we need more help! I’ll go get help!” he said as he asked people passing by for help.

Arthur ran up to a man with his family.

“Please, my girlfriend needs your help. Her family is in the burning house over there. Please help us get water to put out that fire.” Arthur pleaded.
“Sorry, but our lives are put into danger as well!” the man said.
“I can’t see her like this! Please help us.”

The man looked at his family and then at Arthur.

“Okay, fine!”
“Thank you so much!” Arthur said happily.

We all got water to throw at my home.

“Tyra!!!” my family cried.

We continued to throw water until Arthur kicked the door since there was hardly any fire on the door. It broke down and he headed inside. I followed him inside. The man also followed while his family kept throwing water at my house.

“Mother? Father? Ty? Where are you?” I yelled as I looked.
“Oh no!” the man shouted.

Arthur and I ran up to the man.

“What is it?” Arthur asked.
The man pointed to a group of three people hugging right next to each other. They were burned to death.

“NO!!!” I cried and fell to the ground, crying. I punched the ground with my bare hands. “I couldn’t make it. I was too late.”

Arthur touched my shoulder and hugged me.

“I’m so sorry Tyra.”
“I’m sorry.” The man said as he left.
“No! It can’t be!” I said, crying.
“Look!” Arthur said.
“What is it?”

He pointed to a large tank of gas. I gasped.

“But how did that gas tank get here? We never had one here.” I said, wondering.
“Don’t worry about that! We have to get out of here before it explodes.” Arthur yelled, dragging me. “We can’t stay here for long! Besides, where’s the door?”
“Over there!” I said as I pointed.

We tried to run to the door frantically. Just then, the second floor of my house fell, blocking the door. We were trapped.

“Oh no!” Arthur said as he gasped.

I looked around and found a window.

“Look, a window! We can still make it!” I said as we ran to it.
“Tyra, you first.” Arthur said as he tried to push me out of the window. After a minute, I was finally free.
“Come on!” I said to Arthur as I tried to get him out of the window. He struggled and broke free.

We both ran as fast as we could, away from my home. My house exploded into pieces of ash. I tried to not cry but too much was happening right at my own eyes.

“Don’t cry Tyra.”
“I’m trying not to.”

Arthur held my hands.

“We have to go somewhere else to live.”
“I know but where?”
“I don’t know, anywhere away from here.”

I didn’t know what to do now. My family was dead. Arthur looked injured and weak. We had no place to live. All I could do was cry. Just then, we saw some armed men. I remembered what the man told us earlier. We had to run.

“Arthur, we have to go. Now.” I said.
“What’s the matter?”

I dragged him behind a building and pointed to the men.

“Listen, you all search for more victims to kill.” One man told another group of men.
“Right. Yes sir.”

They looked around the buildings. We stood still, scared they we would get killed.

“Tyra, I’m going to be the bait.” Arthur said.
“What?”
“I have to or else they’ll kill us both,” he said.
“No…” I said as I sadly shook my head.
“Run to the harbor, I’ll meet you there. If I don’t make it, go swim to Ijo.”
“I can’t, not without you!”
“Tyra please. Ijo is an island closest to Mushai. You have to go there. People there will help you.”
“Arthur…” I said as I hugged him.
“Tyra…I love you.”
“Me too.”
“I have to go now. I’ll give you a hand signal when to run,” Arthur said as he showed me the hand signal.

I looked down.

“Okay. Goodbye…my love,” I said sadly as a tear fell on my right cheek.
“Don’t say goodbye, just…so long.” He replied as he wiped it away and gave me a kiss.
“Be careful.” I recalled.

He ran to the guards so that they will run after him.

“Hey! Don’t you all want to kill me next?” he asked them as he started to run.

They surrounded him. I couldn’t believe it. He was risking his life for me. He gave the signal. It was time for me to run. I stepped out of my hiding place as gave me a sad look on his face. I started to run for my life. As I looked back, I saw the men stab Arthur with a sword. The men noticed me and started to run after me.

“No, it can’t be. No…” I said as I ran with tears on my face again.
“Get her!” one man said as they all chased me.

I ran faster as I finally reached the harbor. I looked at the water. This was dangerous but it was the only way. I jumped into the water and started to swim my way to Ijo. I know I wasn’t going to make it but it was a better fate than being chopped up to pieces.

“I’m not going to make. I tried…”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Back to third point of view)
“I swam as far as I could until you and Mix saved me. Did I mention I’m still thankful for that?” Tyra asked.
Everyone was too busy crying, including Malcin and Prince Atam.
“Huh? How did you both get here?” Tyra asked.
“We heard everything!” Malcin confessed.
“We came because you both said you’ll be back but never came. So we came to look for you two.” Prince Atam said sadly.
“I never knew you had to go through that. That really must have affected your life.” Yoshi said.
“Yes but if that never happened, I would have never met you all.” Tyra said. “Although I still miss my family and boyfriend…”
“Don’t be sad Tyra. You have to remember all the good times about them.” Malcin said sweetly.
“Thank you for making me feel better,” Tyra said as she hugged him.
Malcin blushed. Yoshi and Prince Atam laughed. Malcin looked up at the sky.
“Uh…look, it’s already starting to get dark and maybe we should rest up until tomorrow.” Malcin said nervously.
“He’s right.” Tyra said.
“I guess so…” Yoshi said, disappointed.
“Now what’s the matter?” Prince Atam asked with his arms crossed.
“Nothing. It’s just that I wanted to get out of this place but we don’t have time today.”
“You’re way too stubborn sometimes…”
“I’m not stubborn!”
“No you’re not. You’re just whining.” He said as he laughed.
“Ha, ha, ha. Very funny!” Yoshi said with her arms crossed again. “And you’re just immature for a prince!”
“I am not!”
“Admit it, you’re immature, don’t have any idea what to do, and you’re a follower which makes me better than you!” Yoshi said as she laughed.
“I’m ten times better than you!” Prince Atam said.
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah!”
“You? Better than me! Ha! Don’t make me laugh!” Yoshi said.
Malcin and Tyra watched them argue again.
“Can’t we stop them?” Tyra asked.
“That’s like trying to stop the tide…” Malcin replied.
They both sighed with disappointment.
“Maybe we should eat now.” Tyra said.
“Good idea, Tyra.”
They both prepared the food to eat while Prince Atam and Yoshi were still arguing.
“Aren’t they so cute when they argue?” Tyra asked as she ate her food.
“Yep, they sure are.” Malcin said with a huge grin as he drank his drink.
“We have to do something.” Tyra said.
“I guess you’re right.”
“Um…Yoshi, Atam, Malcin?” Malcin asked.
“Huh?” Yoshi and Prince Atam asked together.
“The weather doesn’t look well. Not one bit.” Tyra said.
The others looked at the sky.
“I have a bad feeling about this weather. Maybe we should eat and then go to sleep.” Malcin said.
“I guess so.” Yoshi replied.
“If you say so.” Prince Atam said.
They all ate their food. Once they finished, they all got ready to sleep. Tyra and Malcin went to sleep early but the others stayed awake. Prince Atam was about to go to sleep until he spotted Yoshi, sitting on the same rock, looking at he sky again.
“Looking at the sky again, huh?” he asked her.
“Yeah.” she replied with a frown.
“What’s the matter with you?”
“I can’t see the stars. Tomorrow might not be a good day…”
“So?”
“You don’t understand, then again you never understand…” Yoshi said.
“I didn’t ask you for your opinion, you know.”
“Then there’s no point talking to you then,” she said as she shrugged. “Good night then.”
“Good night.”
They all slept until morning came. The winds were strong. The trees were shaking. Rain started to fall, waking up Yoshi.
“Huh? What…” Yoshi asked, still sleepy. “Oh no!”
Maybe it's just me, but this scene seems to be straight out of an episode of Pokémon, with Atam as Ash, Yoshi as Misty, Malcin being Brock, and Tyra being some person they met on their travels. Maybe it's just me...then again, even if it is just me, it gives the story a homey, familiar feeling.
Keep up the good work! Later!
It's weird, I can still remember who was in my kindergaren class! ^-^;;;Yes, the characters are kind of like the pokemon characters and they all do share some charcterisitcs from them!
Anyway, right now here's what you've been waiting for! Chapter 5!
Chapter 5
(normal point of view for now on! ^_~)
Yoshi went up to the others.
“Wake up! Wake up!” Yoshi yelled as she tried to wake up Tyra.
Tyra woke up.
“What on earth is it Yoshi?” she asked.
“Listen!” Yoshi said as they both listened to the sounds. It sounded like the wind, the rain, trees moving.
“It sounds like…” Tyra started.
“A hurricane! Run!” Yoshi shrieked as she started to run.
Tyra blocked her way.
“Tyra, what are you doing?”
“Uh, Yoshi,” Tyra said.
“Not now! Don’t you see that there’s a hurricane?”
“But…”
“We have to run!”
“Yoshi…”
“Tyra let’s run while we have the chance…”
“YOSHI!” Tyra yelled.
Yoshi looked confused.
“What?”
“We have to wake up the others!”
“Oh. Opps.” Yoshi said as she sweat-dropped. They both went up to Prince Atam and Malcin. “Okay, it’s time to wake up now!”
“Please wake up.” Tyra said.
“WAKE UP!!!” Yoshi yelled as they both shrieked as they woke up.
Prince Atam looked cranky.
“How dare you wake me up from my…“
“I woke you both up for a reason! In case you haven’t noticed, there’s a hurricane heading our way!” Yoshi said, annoyed.
“Huh???”
Prince Atam and Malcin looked up and saw the hurricane forming. The trees were starting to get blown away and thunder was rumbling.
“We have to get away!” Prince Atam yelled as Tyra and Malcin followed but Yoshi stayed behind. She wanted to pick up the food that everyone had.
“That’s what I was telling you before…” Yoshi mumbled to herself and looked at the ground. She looked up to see the others but they weren’t there anymore. “Hey! Wait for me!”
“Yoshi, just leave the food, we can always get some later. Right now we have to save our lives!” Tyra said.
“Guess you’re right.”
They were all running from the hurricane as it got bigger and kept on chasing them.
“Keep running!” Prince Atam shouted.
“I think we all know that already!” Yoshi said, agitated.
She looked ahead and saw a cave. “Guys look! A cave!”
They all ran toward the underground cave and decided to hide there until the hurricane was over.
“I think we all know that already! Guys look! A cave!” Prince Atam mimicked.
“Don’t copy me!” Yoshi shouted.
“Don’t copy me!” Prince Atam taunted.
“Quit it, you immature copycat!”
“Quit it, you immature copycat!”
“Stop it!” Yoshi yelled, frustrated.
“Stop it!”
“Oh I get it now. You’re just jealous of me, aren’t you?” Yoshi said coolly.
“I am not!”
“Admit it, you know I’m better than you so that explains why you’re so jealous of me!”
“You’re not any better than me! And I’m not jealous!” the prince yelled.
“Are too!”
“Are not!”
“Are too!”
“Are not!”
Tyra looked at them.
“You know, you both act like lovebirds!”
Yoshi and the prince glanced at each other and blushed for a second. Then glared at Tyra. Malcin and Tyra laughed.
“Very funny!” Yoshi glared.
“You’ve got to be kidding me…” Prince Atam said.
“But the both of you look like an adorable couple!” Malcin said, laughing.
Yoshi and Prince Atam rose up an eyebrow. She made a face. The prince exploded.
“You must be crazy!!!” they both yelled at the top of their lungs. Tyra and Malcin giggled.
“You’re right Malcin! They do look like a cute couple!” Tyra said as she and Malcin burst out laughing hysterically.
“We do not!” Prince Atam yelled.
“Got that right,” Yoshi said.
“Right, then how come you both like to bother each other then?” Malcin asked.
The prince started to turn crimson. Yoshi covered her ears, pretending not to listen.
“What? Me? Like Yoshi?” he said nervously.
Yoshi didn’t pay attention to anyone.
“I’m not listening!”
Prince Atam tried to change the subject.
“Well, you both are friends too.”
“But we don’t argue as much as you two.” Tyra said.
“Tyra’s right about that.” Malcin said as he smiled at Tyra. She smiled back.
“Let’s see if the hurricane’s over now.” Atam said nervously to the others.
Yoshi took her hands off of her ears and was the first to go outside.
“Finally, the storm’s over!” Yoshi said as she noticed the faces of the others. “What’s the matter?”
“We couldn’t save our food or water,” Tyra said sadly.
“We could go fishing,” Malcin suggested.
“Great idea Malcin!” Tyra said as she made a fishing rod and sat down near the water. Everyone sweat-dropped. “Let’s fish!”
“Right behind you!” Malcin followed as he sat down next to Tyra and started to fish as well.
Yoshi and the prince stayed behind.
“Can you believe what they said?” Yoshi asked.
“Yeah, I’ll say. Ridiculous,” Prince Atam replied.
They both watched the sunset together.
“Do you think what they said was true?” Yoshi asked curiously.
Prince Atam started to get nervous again.
“Uh, I don’t know.” he replied with a sweat-drop.
Yoshi giggled.
“Are you getting nervous?”
“Uh…no! Why would I be?”
“Because you’re starting to sweat,” Yoshi said. “Anyway, come on let’s get some berries while they…fish I guess.”
“Yeah, good idea.”
“You’re actually agreeing with me?” Yoshi confusedly asked. Man, what is wrong with him? Yoshi asked herself.
“I guess so.”
“Are you feeling okay? You’re acting kind of weird…”
“I’m okay Yoshi. Now let’s go get those berries.” Prince Atam said as he stood up and walked toward the bushes.
Yoshi shrugged and followed.
“There’s not enough berries for everyone. Maybe we should go to the jungle to get some more.” Yoshi suggested.
“I guess if you want us to get lost again.” Atam teased.
“Very funny. I’ll go alone then.” Yoshi replied as she walked into the bushes of the jungle alone.
I can’t let her go alone, Prince Atam said to himself. “Wait for me!”
“Huh?” Yoshi said as she turned around and saw him running up to her. “I guess you saw it my way,” she snickered.
Prince Atam followed and went through the jungle with Yoshi, looking for berries. Suddenly, they both heard something moving around the bushes. It moved the bushes and a sweet aroma followed.
“What was that?”
“I don’t know but let’s go see.” Yoshi said.
“Oh, my prince, I finally found you!” a beautiful girl said as she ran up to him.
So how's this chapter? Next chapter will be pretty...interesting from what I have to say. Don't forget to reply or at least rate my story! ^_~
But I'm not complaining... ~_~
It's very kawaii!
One question: who's the girl at the end? Some other 'love interest' for the Prince? ^_^
Keep up the good work! Later!
Gladdecease, you'll find out about this girl in the nxt chapter. Yep, those quotes are famaliar aren't they? ^^. Anyway, here's Chapter 6! Enjoy!
Chapter 6
“Oh no.” Prince Atam whispered to himself.
“Huh? Who’s she?” Yoshi asked.
The stunning girl ran up to them.
“I’m the beautiful, glorious, smart Aleia! I’m one of Prince Atam’s suitors!” Aleia said as she fluttered her eyes at Prince Atam.
“What are you doing here?” Prince Atam asked, annoyed.
“Someone tell me what’s going on here.” Yoshi confusedly asked herself.
Aleia noticed Yoshi.
“And who are you? Another suitor of the great prince, I suppose? Or maybe a poor girl or…” Aleia taunted.
“I am not!" Yoshi interupted. "Besides, who asked you? If you want to know who I am so much, why I’m Yoshi, the prince’s friend.” Yoshi said furiously.
“Oh. Then what are you doing with my prince? Then you must be his girlfriend, am I correct?” Aleia asked.
“I am not!” Yoshi yelled. “Besides, you may look beautiful…”
“Thanks for the compliment. I guess I really am beautiful!”
“But you remind me of an old saying that beauties only skid deep!”
“Jealously isn’t very pretty either is it?” Aleia said.
“That’s none of your business!” Yoshi yelled.
Aleia ignored her and just yawned.
“Did I hear a wimpy mouse talking? Nope, it must be my imagination!” Aleia said as she burst out laughing. “Come Atam, as you should be going back home. Your mother is worried sick about you.” Aleia said as she dragged the prince away.
Yoshi started to follow but Aleia blocked the way.
“Where do you think you’re going? You’re certainly not coming with us! This doesn’t even involve you!” Aleia glared.
“Who said?” Yoshi asked agitatedly.
“I said! And you’re not coming with us!” Aleia said as she laughed again. “Let’s go my future husband! The palace awaits.”
“I’m not your husband besides, let her and my friends come or I’ll certainly not marry you!” Prince Atam said as he winked at Yoshi. “I need to talk to Yoshi anyway so give me a few minutes.”
Yoshi looked surprised.
What could he possibly want to talk to me about? And why did he wink at me? Hmm… Yoshi thought in her mind.
“Very well then my prince. Oh, did I mention you’re the handsomest man alive!” Aleia said as she stuck out her tongue at Yoshi. Yoshi made a face at her.
What a show-off! The nerve of that girl, Yoshi thought to herself. Hmm…I think there’s something up with the prince and I’m going to find out.
Prince Atam ignored Aleia and led Yoshi to another part of the jungle. Aleia followed them; not knowing what she was up to. She hid behind a tree and listened closely.
Well, well, well! What have we here? Aleia thought to herself.
“Atam? What’s going on here? And why do you need to go to that palace with that girl?”
“My mother,” he replied.
“Huh? What does your mother have to do with this?”
“She’s the one who’s making me marry one of the suitors.” Prince Atam said as he sighed. “But I don’t want to marry them…”
“I can’t blame you for that. But if all the suitors are like her, then I pity you.” Yoshi said.
Oh, she’ll pay for that! Aleia said in her thoughts.
“Sadly most of the suitors are like that.” Prince Atam said. “I really don’t want to marry any of them but I have to choose one of them sooner or later.”
“Can’t you convince your mother?” Yoshi asked.
“I tried. She doesn’t understand. All she wants is for me to get married…”
“Oh.”
“Yoshi,” Prince Atam said as he held her hands. “Tell the others that we’ll be leaving and heading toward Alcan, my homeland. But you must go quickly. I’ll be waiting for you and the others at the other side of the jungle.”
Yoshi sighed.
“Fine, I’ll go. I’m only doing this for you and I want to get out of this island anyway.”
“Thank you Yoshi,” Prince Atam said as he hugged her.
Yoshi blushed.
“You’re welcome so uh…”
“Yeah?”
“Could you let go of my hands now?” Yoshi asked quickly.
“Oh right. Sorry.” Prince Atam said as he quickly blushed.
What was I doing? Prince Atam asked himself.
“Atam! Your time’s up! Get over here!” Aleia called.
“I have to go now. I’ll see you later,” he said.
“I’ll be back!” Yoshi said dreamily. For you that is… she added.
Aleia looked at them with such envy.
So it’s war, is it? I’ll show them!
Yoshi tried to find the others. But somehow, she didn’t want to find them yet.
Meanwhile, Aleia and Prince Atam had already reached the ship and waited for the others to come.
“Where are they? They should be here by now, right my love?” she asked as she looked at him. Prince Atam was dreamily staring at the sky, not paying attention to Aleia at all. “Did you hear me?”
“Isn’t she the most beautiful thing in the world?” he asked himself.
He’s finally falling for me! Aleia said excitedly in her thoughts.
“Of course I’m beautiful my prince! Do you have anything else to say about me?” Aleia said as she gleamed at Prince Atam.
“Not you! Yoshi! She’s just incredibly beautiful! She’s the apple of my eye!” he said, thinking about her.
“But she’s not a suitor!” Aleia recalled.
Prince Atam sighed.
“Instead of thinking about that girl, you should be thinking about me!” Aleia said, fluttering at him again. “We should be leaving right now anyway,” she muttered.
She looked at him once more but he was paying no attention to her. She was steaming with jealously.
“Are you listening to me?” Aleia asked, frustrated.
“Huh? Oh. The only thing I heard was Yoshi,” Prince Atam said with a sigh.
Aleia fell over in stupidity.
I can’t believe this! How dare he fall in love with that girl? Aleia thought.
Meanwhile, Yoshi kept walking around in circles.
What is it that he’s hiding? I know he’s hiding something from me but what can it be? Oh well, it’s maybe nothing. Maybe he’s homesick. Anyway, I have to find Tyra and Malcin.
Soon, she found Tyra and Malcin eating.
“Where have you been Yoshi?” Tyra asked. “And where’s Prince Atam?”
“We have to go to Alcan, his homeland.” Yoshi replied.
“Don’t tell me…” Malcin started. “One of the suitors found him?”
“Yeah, how did you know?”
“I know the suitors. They’re all in love with the prince.” Malcin said.
“We have to go to the other side of the jungle to reach him and their ship departing to Alcan.” Yoshi said.
“Let’s go then!” Tyra said as she ate her last bite of fish and followed Yoshi.
“I know a shortcut.” Malcin said.
“What shortcut?” Tyra asked.
“It’ll lead us to the other side quicker but there’s a bridge.” Malcin replied.
“What about the bridge?” Yoshi asked.
“It’s almost broken.”
“How do you know that?” Tyra asked.
“I went through to get some water and it looks like it’s about to break so we have to be careful.” Malcin replied.
“No wonder you came back with water so fast…” Tyra said.
“Let’s go already!” Yoshi said as she led the way.
The rope bridge was long and looked weak. Under the bridge was a river with many stones a long way down.
“Oh no! I’m afraid of heights! I don’t like going first. Yoshi, Malcin, you both go. I’m staying here!” Tyra said, as she looked frightened.
“Tyra, don’t worry! I’ll hold your hand while we’re on the bridge. Don’t be scared.” Malcin comforted her.
“I guess if you say so…”
Wow, they really do care about each other! How sweet! Yoshi thought.
“Fine, then I’ll go first.” Yoshi said as she walked slowly on the bridge and tried not to look down. She finally got to the end of the long and strange bridge. “It’s not so bad!” she shouted.
“Let’s go Tyra,” Malcin said as he held her hand.
“Okay,” Tyra said nervously as they both started to walk on the damp bridge.
Soon, some wind blew as the bridge was starting to shake.
“Don’t look down, don’t look down, and don’t look…” Tyra said to herself.
The bridge started to move more and more. Tyra got more scared by the minute. She saw some rocks falling from the bridge.
“Uh Malcin…I’m looking down!” Tyra said, frightened.
“Just calm down Tyra.”
“How can I possibly calm down at a time like this?” she shrieked.
“Don’t worry, it’ll all be over soon.”
“It’s moving too much! Get me off this thing!”
Yoshi watched from a distance.
“Uh oh.”
Yoshi then saw something moving close by.
“Huh? What was that?” she asked herself. She then realized what it was. “Oh no! Hold on guys!” Yoshi said as she started to hold on to the rope of the bridge.
“What is it Yoshi?” Tyra asked.
“Uh, Tyra…we really better hold on tight.” Malcin warned.
“Why?”
“Because the bridge is falling!” Malcin yelled as they both screamed as the bridge was falling down. “Hang on Tyra!”
“I’m trying!”
Yoshi tried to pull the rope bridge with her friends on it but they were too heavy.
“You both have to climb!” Yoshi yelled.
“We’re trying!” Malcin shouted. He kept on holding on to Tyra. “Don’t worry Tyra, we’re going to make it.”
“I hope so…” Tyra replied.
Soon, after several minutes, Malcin and Tyra were saved and on the ground again.
“That was close,” Malcin said.
“Too close if you ask me…” Tyra replied.
“I’m just glad that you’re both safe now. Now let’s get to that ship!” Yoshi said as she started to run.
“Hey, wait for us!” Tyra shouted.
“She must be determined to get there.” Malcin said.
“Yeah, I’ll say. Do you think that she maybe likes him?” Tyra asked Malcin.
“Maybe…nah!” they both said together and ran after Yoshi.
They reached the ship in a matter of minutes. Prince Atam ran up to them, followed by Aleia.
“You’re finally here!” he said excitedly. “What took you so long?”
“We had a delay but we managed to pull through,” Yoshi said as she winked at him. The prince looked at her with soft eyes.
“Well, well, well! If it isn’t Malcin!” Aleia said.
“Nice to see you again,” Malcin said coldly.
“Oh, who’s this, your servant? It’s about time you got a servant my prince,” Aleia said as she scoffed at Tyra.
“She’s not a servant!” Malcin yelled.
“Oh really, Malcin? Then who is she, your girlfriend?” Aleia said with a cruel laugh.
Malcin and Tyra blushed.
“I’m just…his friend.” Tyra said calmly. “I’ve heard about you…”
“Oh? Did you hear that I’m beautiful, smart, talented?” Aleia asked herself.
“More than that. I heard that…” Tyra started.
“…You really are a snob!” Yoshi finished.
Everyone laughed except Aleia.
“Keep laughing! You’ll see who’ll get married to the prince.” Aleia said as she glared at Yoshi.
“That’ll be the day!” Yoshi scoffed.
“I don’t need to waste my time talking to you!” Aleia said.
“Well maybe it’s because you’re a coward!” Yoshi said.
I’ll show her! Aleia said, thinking as she went away.
Aleia passed the main deck of the ship and wanted to find someone. She looked around the ship and asked for him. The crew told her to go to his cabin. Aleia headed towards the door of his cabin and knocked.
“May I come in?” Aleia asked.
“Of course Aleia.” A deep voice replied from his chair in the shadow.
“Thank you,” Aleia said as she entered the room. “Could you do me a big favor?” she asked.
This was a good chapter...except for Aleia...and that creepy guy at the end...
This story is good...but I have one question...when you put thoughts in italics, like this:
What a show-off! The nerve of that girl, Yoshi thought to herself.
Hmm...I think there's something up with the prince and I'm going to
find out.
are you trying to do this:
What a show-off! The nerve of that girl, Yoshi thought to herself.
Hmm...I think there's something up with the prince and I'm going to find out.
'Cause it looks like Yoshi is thinking 'Yoshi thought to herself' when you do it the first way...
I'm glad you realized the mistake! I knew something was wrong in there...anyway, here's the next chapter! Enjoy everyone! ^o^
Chapter 7-Secrets Revealed(I warn you, this chapter may get a little sick)
“What can I do for you?” a man who appeared out of the shadows. He had a white beard and he was sitting calmly in his chair. He had a badge that said, “Captain Steward”.
“To…” Aleia said as she explained the process bitterly.
“But why?”
“I’ll give you wealth and power if you do grant my wish!” Aleia said.
“Okay, right away Aleia.”
“Excellent.”
“When should my men start?”
“At the Queen’s ball.”
“What time?”
“Midnight.”
“Very well then Aleia,” the captain said.
“Thank you so much captain.”
“You’re welcome.” Aleia said as she left. “And I’ll see what the prince has to say to that!”
Meanwhile, Tyra and Malcin talked to each other while Yoshi and Prince Atam sat and watched the sunset together. Then, a messenger came to them.
“So sorry to interrupt my prince but you have been invited to the Queen’s ball tomorrow night at Alcan.”
“Thanks.” The prince said.
“Please excuse me,” the messenger said as he left.
“Great, just what I needed. Another boring party.” Atam complained.
“What do you mean by that?” Yoshi asked.
“My mother always has to introduce me to more suitors and makes me dance with them. It’s really boring and pointless too.”
“Oh. I wish I could go.”
“It’s not worth going.”
“Well, what do you know about parties?”
“Actually, I’ve been to many parties in my life and they’re all boring.”
Yoshi sighed.
“What?”
“Oh, nothing. Nothing at all!” Yoshi said as she stood up.
“Wait, don’t go!” he said as he sat Yoshi down again.
“What is it?” Yoshi asked.
There was silence for a few minutes. Prince Atam leaned closer to her. Their hearts were beating wildly. He was right next to her face; he stopped to look deep into her eyes. Yoshi stared back, shaking a little. She wanted to ask what was he doing but she knew perfectly well but found that she couldn’t speak.
Prince Atam felt almost like he had no control of what he was doing. He knew he shouldn’t, but he wanted to so bad, it was an urge that couldn’t be stopped. He leaned more, slower than before, and he could see Yoshi nodding her head, almost very unnoticeable. He got right to where their lips were only inches away, and he could hear her breathing just as heavily as himself.
He could no longer wait; this was the moment he was waiting for. Finally, his lips met with hers, as they both fluttered their eyes shut.
It was the greatest thing that could ever happen to the prince. He was trying to think this, but his mind was spinning faster by the second. He felt like it was right, he never wanted to let go.
Yoshi felt a great sensation go through her. She never tasted something so sweet, this boy kissing her…she loved him more than life itself. She couldn’t help but reach her arms around him, and touch his back lightly, so she could feel like she was holding him. She wanted this moment to last forever.
Aleia was watching them with total envy.
“I can’t believe this. They’re both in love with each other!” Aleia said to herself. “But soon, she’ll die and the prince will fall for me!” she said as she sneaked away.
They both kept on kissing each other until they realized that everyone was staring. They immediately let go of themselves and turned crimson red. Tyra and Malcin had their mouths wide open.
“I can’t believe my eyes!” Tyra said, surprised.
“Both of you…kissing!” Malcin said.
“How sweet!” Tyra said.
“Very funny!” Yoshi said.
“We didn’t do anything!” Atam stumbled.
“Then can you both explain the passionate kiss?” Malcin asked.
Yoshi and Prince Atam blushed.
“We were just…uh…” Yoshi started.
“Acting! Yeah, that’s it! We were acting,” Prince Atam said.
“Yeah, right.” Malcin said.
“That looked like more than just acting!” Tyra said.
“So does this mean you both like each other?” Malcin asked.
“Well…” Yoshi said.
“Um…” Prince Atam said.
“Admit it, you both love each other!” Tyra said. “That’s so romantic!”
“Yep, that’s Romeo and Juliet!” Malcin said.
“Uh, it’s getting late. I feel sleepy. Good night!” Yoshi said quickly as she could and went to her room.
“Yoshi, wait!” Prince Atam said as he chased her.
“They both really are in love,” Tyra said.
“I’ll agree with you if you’re talking about Prince Atam but I don’t know about Yoshi. She looked astonished.” Malcin said.
“Yeah, I’ll say. I wonder what’s on her mind.” Tyra wondered.
Yoshi ran to her room, confused. Prince Atam was right after her. She slammed the door and locked it.
“What just happened?” Yoshi asked herself. “Did he just kiss me? But it was so romantic!”
Yoshi touched her lips. She felt so confused. Yoshi just wondered about it until she felt too tired and went directly to sleep.
Prince Atam sighed and sat down at Yoshi’s door, thinking about what he has done.
“What have I done? I just kissed her and now she probably hates me,” he said to himself.
And I didn’t get to tell her that I love her.
Malcin approached him.
“Atam, what’s the matter?”
“I don’t know,” Atam said sadly. “I just kissed her and I don’t know how she felt about it.”
“When I saw you kissing her, it looked like she kind of liked it.” Malcin said.
“Really?”
Malcin nodded.
I hope so… Malcin thought.
The next day came as the ship finally arrived into the harbor of Alcan, Prince Atam and Malcin’s homeland. Flocks of birds were flying outside, trying to catch fish. Men were in smaller boats, trying to catch the fish as well. People were selling seafood nearby. Children were playing near the water as they played tag on the docks.
“Look, we’re finally here!” Tyra exclaimed happily as she looked at the wondrous harbor form the ship outside at the deck. Everyone followed and looked along with Tyra.
“It’s beautiful!” Yoshi said as she gleamed at it.
“I guess we’re home now, aren’t we?” Malcin asked.
“Yeah,” Prince Atam replied.
“Welcome to Alcan, my homeland!” Aleia said excitedly. “We must get to the queen’s palace now!”
Everyone followed Aleia as they all went off the ship and walked around until they finally got to the prince’s palace. Everyone they passed bowed to them.
“Wow, they’re bowing to us.” Yoshi said happily.
“Not you! They’re only bowing to me, Prince Atam, and Malcin since we’re well known here.” Aleia replied.
Yoshi rolled her eyes as three carriages were waiting for them.
“I’m taking the first one all for me!” Aleia said as she pushed everyone out of the way and went into the first carriage alone.
“What was that about?” Yoshi asked.
Everyone else shrugged.
“Well, I’ll go into this one then,” Yoshi said as she climbed into the second carriage.
“Wait for me!” Prince Atam said as he followed Yoshi inside and sat opposite of her.
There was silence in the carriage for a long time. Yoshi and Prince Atam kept looking out the window.
I have to tell her sooner or later, I’m making her wonder too much but I know that I love her. But wait, what would my mother say? And the suitors, the kingdom, what would they think? I have to stop worrying so much, just think positive and everything will be fine…I hope, the rich teenager said in his thoughts.
I wonder what he’s thinking. He’s thinking too much that it’s starting to worry me. Why would he kiss me unless he…no, that can’t ever happen but it was like…a dream come true. I have to admit, he’s a good kisser! I can’t possibly be in love with him. I mean he is a prince after all. Maybe Aleia was right. I can’t marry him. All of this is going to kill me. Especially his mother and who knows what but I can’t tell him that I love him. At least not yet…wait! Did I say that I love him? The girl thought to herself.
“Um, Yoshi?” Atam asked as he finally broke the silence.
Oh no, this can’t be happening. No, no!
“Yoshi?”
I don’t love him…I think I love him. Wait, I do love him! Yoshi thought in her mind.
“Yoshi!”
“Huh? What? What happened? Is something wrong?” Yoshi asked impatiently as she looked around. She only saw herself back in the carriage with Prince Atam.
“Are you feeling okay?”
“I’m fine.”
“Are you sure because you look like you got a headache.”
I do, I do, wait! I do love him!
“I do!” Yoshi said excitedly.
“Huh, what’s wrong with you? What’s with the I dos?”
“It’s nothing, really!”
“Okay…are you sure?”
“Yes doctor. I’m okay doctor.” Yoshi said dreamily.
“What?”
Oh my god, what am I saying? Oh great, I got it bad and I mean really bad, Yoshi thought.
I wonder what’s with her. There’s really something wrong with her today. Could she like me or is it just the heat that’s making her crazy? Maybe she’s sick but she’s so cute whenever she gets nervous, Prince Atam thought.
“Um, could I ask you something?”
“Wait, I wanted to ask you something.” Yoshi said calmly.
“Okay.”
“But I’ll let you ask first.”
“No, you ask first.”
“Oh no, you ask first.”
“No, you!”
“You ask.”
“Not me, ladies first.”
“Well…okay,” Yoshi said as she gave up. “Uh…why did you kiss me?”
Prince Atam was starting to get sweat-drops again.
Oh no! Why did she have to ask me that? Great, now what do I tell her? Just be calm, he said in his thoughts.
“Well?”
“Oh, um…”
“Yeah?”
“I…I…I,” Prince Atam stuttered.
“On with it already!” Yoshi snapped.
“Okay! Don’t rush me!”
“Sorry. You were making me impatient.”
“Okay, here goes. I kissed you because…”
“Keep on going.”
Just tell me that you love me already!
“Because…I don’t know what came over me back there last night? I really don’t know what was wrong with me and I’m sorry if I startled you.” he said quickly.
Great, nice going! I just had the chance to tell her the real reason and I screwed up again! Prince Atam complained inside his mind.
“Oh, I understand.” Yoshi said sadly.
I guess that kiss didn’t mean anything to him at all, Yoshi said with a sigh.
“What’s wrong?”
“Oh nothing! Nothing at all! Everything’s fine,” Yoshi said with her arms crossed. “Now what was that question you were going to ask me?”
“Oh, um…”
“Wait, maybe you can tell me later. Now is not the perfect time.”
“Well, okay,” Prince Atam shuttered.
I need advice. I’m no good at this love thing, he said to himself.
How was this chapter? Okay, maybe it was a little sick...don't forget to rate or reply to me anytime soon! ^_~ Besides, comments would be nice...who doesn't love that? ^^;;;
Chapter 8-Brothers!?
The three carriages finally stopped at the palace where Atam, Malcin, and the rulers live. Everyone stepped out of the carriages.
“This way, my prince!” Aleia said as she dragged Atam again.
“Follow us!” Atam called.
Yoshi, Malcin, and Tyra followed the prince and Aleia. They soon stood upon to a door. The door was tall, designed with many detailed works. The shiny red brown door was with a messenger in front of it, guarding it.
“Welcome to the rulers’ throne room. Unfortunately, the great King Acan has not yet returned from his travels so the rich Queen Alcina remains alone on the throne. She is very honored for prince Atam and Malcin’s return home. The queen is very concerned about the ball so please do not frustrate her in any way as she has been alone for a while now,” the messenger said. “Does everyone understand?”
Everyone nodded.
“Very well then! You shall all approach the queen now.” The messenger replied as he opened the enormous door that led to a beautiful, large, detailed room with the queen sitting on her throne. Everyone went to her and bowed in respect to her.
Queen Alcina looked very innocent and rich with her gem gown. Her crown was a golden color and had diamonds on it. She didn’t say anything for a few minutes and then realized it was her son and his best comrade.
“My son! Malcin! You both have come back from your long, vicious journey.” Queen Alcina said.
Then she recognized Aleia.
“Oh, I see that Aleia is here as well! How could I repay you fro finding them and their friends?”
“Oh, great Queen! The only way you can repay me is for me to marry your handsome son, Prince Atam.” Aleia said as she made a face at Yoshi.
Yoshi wanted to stick out her tongue but it would ruin her chances with the queen so she stayed quiet and crossed her arms.
“But mother…” Prince Atam whined.
“Remember my son, you can only marry a suitor!” the queen snapped.
“Mother, but I…”
“Atam, please don’t ruin my day. Oh, and who are your friends?”
“These are our new friends Yoshi and Tyra.” Malcin said.
“Welcome ladies! How do you both like my palace? I designed it myself!” she said proudly.
“Queen Alcina, you indeed have good taste in what you design with this palace! It’s magnificent!” Yoshi amazedly said.
“Yes, my queen! This palace does represent you: glorious, beautiful, and powerful like you!” Tyra added.
“Why, both of you should be rewarded with what you both said to me! I am very pleased with your comments. I hereby announce you both to be part of the table of honor at the ball with my son, Malcin, and all the suitors, including myself!” the queen said happily.
“Does that mean we’re invited?” Yoshi asked.
“Of course!”
“Thank you my queen!” Yoshi said as she bowed.
“We truly appreciate the offer.” Tyra said as she bowed to the queen as well.
Malcin and Prince Atam smiled at Yoshi and Tyra. Aleia was filled with envy once again.
“But my queen! There might not be enough room for them sadly! Maybe you should send them to the second table of honor.” Aleia said.
“Hmm…”
“Mother, there’s still two seats at the table! They should be able to sit there with us!” Prince Atam said as he tried to convince his mother.
“Of course Atam, you’re right!”
“I am? I mean, of course I am!”
“Then it is decided! They shall both sit with us!”
“Maybe they should have sat with the nobles…” Aleia muttered.
“What was that Aleia?” the queen asked.
“Oh, I’m just saying how surprising the ball shall be!” she replied, making an evil face at Yoshi.
“Yes, everyone is looking forward to the ball!” the queen said happily. “Now, all of you run along!”
“Okay mother,” Prince Atam said.
“Oh, and Atam!” the queen called.
“Yes, mother?”
“Your brothers are here just to tell you,” she said.
“Oh,” Prince Atam said with a sigh.
“You may all leave now.”
Everyone left the throne room.
“You have brothers?” Yoshi asked curiously.
“Unfortunately, yes.”
“Oh, look who’s here!” a voice came from a small distance away.
“Huh?”
Three tall, handsome young men appeared beyond their eyes. They both sort of looked alike except one had blond hair, the next had red hair, and the last had brown hair.
“Oh, look guys. It’s our baby brother, Atam.” Andrew said.
“I am not a baby!” Atam complained.
“Why are you back so soon?” Alan asked.
“That little boy with the big mouth who said he wouldn’t come back until he was as great as our father, wasn’t that you?” Andy asked.
“Well, I guess I said something like that…”
“Face it Atam, you obviously couldn’t compare to us. We’re much more talented and smarter than you are!” Andrew said.
“That wasn’t the reason!” Atam yelled. “I left to get some freedom from everything here.”
“Running away from your problems as usual.” Alan said.
“You know, he’s got a point there…” Yoshi joked.
“What do you know? You ran away too you know!”
“That’s because I had a very good reason why! I would have gotten killed if I stayed there!” Yoshi replied.
“Then I guess you couldn’t make it on your own then, little brother.” Andrew said, chuckling to himself.
“That’s not true! The only reason I’m here is because my mother wanted us to come for that ball!” Atam shouted.
The three older brothers ignored Atam.
“Oh, hey Malcin!” Andy said.
“Hi guys.”
“Did you take care of our little brother while you traveled?” Alan asked.
“I’m not little!”
“I sure did! He was behaving well!” Malcin said as he joked around.
“I knew we could trust you!” Andrew said as he smiled.
“Very funny!” Atam complained.
“Oh, and who are these lovely young ladies?” Andy asked.
“I’m Tyra, hello.” She said happily.
“And I’m Yoshi.” Yoshi said with a smile.
“They’re our new friends.” Prince Atam said happily.
The three brothers headed straight to them with interest.
“Are you guys listening to me?” Atam yelled a he crossed his arms “They never listen to me.”
“Tyra…what an astounding name!” Prince Andrew said as he held her hands. “You’re simply beautiful!”
Tyra blushed.
“Why, thank you.” Tyra said with a sweat-drop.
“Yoshi, that name. It’s all written with adventure!” Andy said. “Not to mention beauty,” Prince Andy said as he smiled at her.
“Oh, thanks. That’s so sweet.” Yoshi said as she blushed.
“Ahem!” Aleia said. “What about me?”
“Oh Aleia, you’re here at last to be with me! Come with me, my angel and we shall live happily ever after!” Alan said sweetly.
I just had to include myself, Aleia said in her mind.
“Forget it!” Aleia snapped.
“Please?”
“No!”
“Just give me a chance!”
“In your dreams!” Aleia said as she laughed and left.
Atam and Malcin were watching them all, surprised.
“I feel bad for Alan.” Atam said.
“I have to agree with you this time.”
Prince Alan came with his eyes all teary.
“I failed again!” he said sadly as he put his head down in disappointment.
“Don’t think of it as failing, think of it as not succeeding.” Atam said as he comforted his brother.
“Oh well, like they say there’s many fish in the sea! And someday I will find the girl of my dreams!” Alan vowed as he gleamed at the window and looked at the sky.
“Yep, someday it is.” Prince Atam said.
“You don’t have a date either so you shouldn’t be talking!” Alan said.
“I’m sure I’ll get one soon.” Prince Atam said as he shrugged.
“Then who are you going to ask?” Prince Alan asked.
“Umm…”
“Don’t tell me, you like that girl over there right? What’s her name again? Oh yeah, Yoshi.”
Prince Atam blushed.
“How did I know?” Alan asked himself.
“Maybe it’s because he blushed.” Malcin said.
“Malcin!”
“Sorry!” Malcin said with a sweat-drop.
“I have to admit you both do make a cute couple.” Prince Alan said.
“What?” Prince Atam asked as he sweat-dropped.
“You’re right about that!” Malcin happily added.
“She could knock some common sense into that big empty head of yours!” Alan joked.
“Very funny!”
“And she is cute,” Alan admitted.
“Don’t even think about it!” Prince Atam snapped.
“What? I just said that she’s cute.” Alan said with a sweat-drop.
“I think I like her more than I thought,” Prince Atam admitted.
“What do you mean?” Prince Alan asked.
“I can’t stop thinking about her! It’s making me crazy!” Prince Atam replied.
“Did you tell her yet?”
“Actually I did something else,” Atam admitted.
“Like what? It’s not like you’re going to kiss her or anything like that…did you?”
“That’s what happened.”
“Talk about doing crazy things for love!”
“Quit it! I couldn’t help it! I had no control over it!”
Sometimes I really do think my brother is crazy, Prince Alan thought.
“I’m really liking Yoshi more and more every single day! What do I do? You’ve got to help me win her!” Atam pleaded as he shook his friend and his brother.
“Okay, we’ll help you as long as you let go of us!” Malcin said.
“Oh right.” Atam said with a sweat-drop. “Sorry.”
“Okay, you can try to dance with her at the ball.” Alan suggested.
“Are you crazy? You know I can’t dance!”
“Then make her a really romantic dinner.” Malcin said.
“I can’t cook for my life!”
“You can always try!” Alan said.
“You really think so?”
“Yep, just like last time you burned the food when you made dinner.” Prince Alan said.
“Don’t remind me…” Prince Atam said as he tried to remember the memory.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“This is going to be great! I can finally prove to my brothers that I can cook!” Prince Atam said as he cooked. “This spaghetti is going to be the best ever!”

All of a sudden, the phone started ringing.

“I’ll get it!” Prince Atam said as he picked up the phone. “Hello?”

Meanwhile, at the table…

“What’s taking him so long?” Prince Andrew asked.
“Yeah, I’m hungry!” Prince Andy whined.
“Now boys, be calm. Atam is trying his best to cook us a wonderful…” the queen said.
“A wonderful what mother?” Prince Alan wondered.
“Do you smell something?” she asked.
“Oh no!” Malcin said. “It’s coming from the kitchen. Atam!”

Everyone got up and ran straight to the kitchen. The queen opened the door and inside was Atam on the phone while the food was burning. Everyone gasped.

“Oh, that’s cool.” Atam said, still on the phone.
“The food!” everyone screamed.
“Huh?” Prince Atam confusedly asked. “Uh…listen, I’ll call you back later ok? Bye.”
“We have to burn out the fire!” the queen said as she ran and got a fire extinguisher. Then she ran back the fire and cooled it off, leaving the food black. “There! Atam, what do you think you were doing?”
“You dimwit! You burned our food!” Prince Andy yelled as he shook him.
“Atam! You were supposed to be cooking, not being on the phone!” Malcin said.
“Heh, heh,” Prince Atam said as he sweat-dropped. “Opps.”
“You are so busted.” Prince Andy said.
“Uh oh. I guess I’m grounded, right?”
“Yes you are.” The queen said bitterly.
“Aw, man!”
“Ha, ha! You so deserved that!” Prince Andrew said as he laughed.
“That goes for you too Andrew!” the queen snapped.
“Yes mother.”
“Now what we going to eat?” Malcin asked.

Everyone sighed with disappointment.

“You are never going to cook again.” Prince Alan said.
“But I wanted to prove that I can cook…” Prince Atam said sadly.
“You sure proved something all right.” Prince Andy admitted.
“I did?”
“Yep, you proved that you’re a horrible cook!” Prince Andy finished.

The three brothers burst into laughter.

“Don’t worry Atam. With practice, you’ll get it.” Malcin said as he comforted his friend.
“Yeah, a lot of practice if you ask me…” Prince Atam said.
“Off to your room Atam.” The queen said.

Atam walked up the stairs and went into his room.

“This stinks.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Prince Alan laughed, thinking about the memory.
“Very funny!” Prince Atam said. “But now, I have the chance to cook again!” And prove to everyone that I can do it, he thought.
“Yoshi better brace herself.” Prince Alan whispered to Malcin.
“Yeah, I’ll say.”
“What was that?” Prince Atam asked.
“Nothing!” they both said at the same time.
“Okay, then a romantic dinner for Yoshi it is!” Prince Atam said excitedly.
Oh god, what have I got myself into? Atam can’t cook! Malcin thought. But I’m sure that Yoshi likes him back. I just know it! I just hope Tyra does like me…
I hope this plan will work or else Yoshi sure will need a doctor…Prince Alan thought.
Please tell me how was this chapter! I'm sure it was funny for you guys! Next chapter will come soon! ^_~ Please don't forget to tell me how it is or rate it!
“Of course Atam, you’re right!”
“I am? I mean, of course I am!”
Is Atam usually not right? Why would he be so suprised?
Three tall, handsome young men appeared beyond their eyes. They both sort of looked alike except one had blond hair, the next had red hair, and the last had brown hair.
“Oh, look guys. It’s our baby brother, Atam.” Andrew said.
“I am not a baby!” Atam complained.
“Why are you back so soon?” Alan asked.
“That little boy with the big mouth who said he wouldn’t come back until he was as great as our father, wasn’t that you?” Andy asked.
“Well, I guess I said something like that…”
The Cerulean Sisters strike back!!
Prince Alan came with his eyes all teary.
“I failed again!” he said sadly as he put his head down in disappointment.
“Don’t think of it as failing, think of it as not succeeding.” Atam said as he comforted his brother.
“Oh well, like they say there’s many fish in the sea! And someday I will find the girl of my dreams!” Alan vowed as he gleamed at the window and looked at the sky.
And so does Brock!!
They have phones? Well, they are royalty. But why would a prince even need to know how to cook?
it was a funny chapter ^_^, i laughed at how Prince Atam burned the food. But the funniest parts were with his brothers. they were like The Senational Sister and Brock put together...lol. i also think that if the Senational Sisters were males, thats how they would act...lol. Well like always keep up the good work and i can't wait till your next chapter.
