You can like Tyranitar more than Umbreon, I'm fine with that.
Just all my past experiences with Tyranitar in my team have been unfortunate. Having been in a position of *Umbreon \vs. TTar* and not having lost once, I have to advocate for my Umby.
No standard Tyranitar could take an Umbreon 1 on 1,
Simple as that.
1. There is no way, at all, ever, that an Umbreon can beat a Tyranitar. It's just impossible. So don't even try to prove it.
That's not a reason, that's just ****-dribble,
How about we have a little match, I'll use 3 Umbreon’s, and you can use six Tyranitar’s. Pm me if you're game.
2. Tyranitar's Attack is higher than both of Umbreon's Defenses. Try again.
A meager 54 difference in stats, (considering Umbreon has decent HP) doesn't mean anything.
For a Tyranitar to beat an Umbreon it would have to be either;
-Faster, as to get off a taunt/sub before toxic takes effect. Or
-Holding CB, (a 2hko)
Actually state the reasons
why it would lose,
Taunt from DDtar means Umbreon can't do **** while you DD up.
Taunt would come second, unless you have speed EVs.
This would be dependant on who is in play first.
If Umby taunts you first, then you still win by having offense.
Not true, if Umbreon gets the first taunt, it is able to Taunt\stall for a potential 40 rounds (Apply PP'ups turned off), the standard DDtar has 35pp worth of offensive-type moves.
*If toxic is applied on a switch-in, I'm quite sure the Tyranitar will be dead before 35 rounds are up.
*If the Umbreon is switched in and taunted, then your point is understandable.
Boah's subs make Umbreon worthless and you can focus punch it to death.
Again, this implies that the Umbreon is switched in on the turn a sub is placed. Otherwise It would poison the Tyran and the Umbreon could quite effectively stall until both are within (0-20%) or the TTar is dead)
Cbtar gets a free focus punch since any good Umbreon doesn't have any attacking moves
That's provided *Again* that the Umbreon is switched in, and still, there are no sub in place so nothing preventing Umbreon from fighting back.
And any good Umbreon would not die to a Tyranitar, let-alone switch in to a CB one.
