I agree. OoT should have gotten a 9.9 because of Navi. And the lack of Tingle.
But all other games should have gotten a 9.8 or less. They were perhaps good, but they weren't OoT.
I'll also explain why MM is worse than OoT.
-The length of the game. People say that the time pressure is annoying, but the game can be completed before the dawn of of the third day. It also has the least levels of all Zelda game. It had four somewhat small temples and not even a level before the final boss. Even MC had five temples and a level before the boss. Same with WW.
-The masks. The main aspect of the game is also something that killed it. You spend hours of your life trying to find thirty masks. About 3 of them are usefull, 1 of them is usable against one boss, nearly all others get you only one Piece of Heart and 1 doesn't even do anything except showing that you are sad. And what you have to do to get them. The Couples Mask and the Postman Hat. You have to do many events within the three days, you have to wait very, very, very long between those events. And you have to do it twice, because as far as I know, it isn't possible to get both the Postman Hat and the Couples Mask during the same three-day period. And what do you get for them? One single, crappy Piece of Heart for both and they don't even do anything else. They even don't bring up nice cutscenes.
-The bosses. They were each very plain and very easy to find out how to kill them. The only exception is Gyorg, who is very easy to beat but many people don't know the right tactic. But all others. Hit Odolwa with your sword a few times, he dies. Chase Goth as a Goron, he dies. Use the mask you got the room before and hit Twinmold with your sword, he dies. Use many weapons on Majora, or just use the mask that you've gotten on the moon if you had all other masks, he dies. The only bosses on par with them are the bosses of MC.
Now don't get me wrong here, I love MM, but pales in comparison to OoT.
And for you who haven't played OoT, get a live. Because you aren't truelly living untill you have played OoT.
Well, OoT is a really good game, and I can see where you are coming from, but I think that I porefer MM more.
I will explain why I think that it is better, refering to each of your points:
-I can understand why you are saying this about the 4 temples, and I see where you are coming from, but all of the temples have something which require you to do before you can get to them , and some of which can be a bit trickey, unless you are a pro at the game. lol. There is the Well, and the pirates theing. There may only be 4 dungeons, but there is a lot of other stuff to do as well.
-As for the masks, I think that this is a great addition to the game. Sure, some of them seems like a choar to get, but others all have a great story behind them, and some are needed for the bombers notebook, another thing, which IMO, adds to the quality of the game. I also think that it is good how you doing one thing in the 3 day cycle had a effect on other things in the game, like stopping the theif on the first day allows you to get the All Night Mask on the third.
-As for the bosses, I cannot really say much for them. I do not think that Zelda bosses are gemerally that hard anyway. I mean, the OoT ones are no harder than the MM ones. It is just that there are more of them in OoT, which is one of the reasons why that game is good.
-Another thing for me is that the layout of Termina, not where things are, but what is there, is much better than hyrule. And, like I have already said, how you always have a little tak to do before you go into a dungeon.
Do not get me wrong, OoT i a great zelda game, I just think that it seems to get loads of asttention, while MM does not get mentioned half as much, and they are both good games in their own right. OoT is a big adventure with lots of dungeons. MM is a quest and is packed with sidequests. I personally prefer MM because there is more to the game than the main story, and I suppose this is the reason that OoT is not as good IMO. There are not half as many side quests.
OK, I think that this post has gone on for to long, so I will finish it there.
And, I suppose that you are also right, I am just stating my opinion.
