The Smug Pikachu
Today, my boss told me to appear at my office half an hour later from now on since no one else can come earlier. This is very satisfying since I will have more time to sleep in the morning.
Wow, congratulations!!!!! I tip my hat to you my friend. Sending a virtual hug your way from across the globe. "hugs"Graduated today. Wasn't as bad as anticipated.
Got a chance to talk to my mom about moving. She's upset about the circumstances, but she's on board with it and feels it's probably best for me to do this. She sees it as an adventure and a life lesson for me. And she and my stepfather are going to help. They're going to scout the area, see what the housing situation and job market there is like, and let me know about anything. I'll have to pack, save some money, perhaps sell some stuff to make a bit extra, and apply for anything they happen to send me. Since I obviously can't do face-to-face interviews, they're going to have to interview me over the phone.
I don't know when the move is going to happen, just that it's going to happen. If I were to guess, I would say around November or December, though, depending on what the situation looks like in their area.
Also, I spent time with my mom and stepfather at the zoo today. We had a nice time and saw all the exhibits. Highlight of the day was going to the lemurs and watching all of them come right up to us. Also, watching a kid with a penguin stuffed animal running around and a real penguin in the exhibit following him around because of the stuffed animal. Both adorable moments.
Interview lined up. This is for a graduate job so hopefully I land it and start to get dat monneey. It's a short train journey from my current location of Derby and I'll get the chance to explore Leicester while I'm at it so if I do land it I can start to look for a house if I end up liking the area.
