The best season of Pokemon

I put this in spoilers because someone might mention the recent season in Japan... might upset people.

What season did you enjoy the most?

Personally it was that period of time where Ash was in the Indigo league, orange islands and the very beginning of Jhoto (before the first badge).

You said it all, except Kanto was the best of all 3 of them. They just don't make episodes like those anymore.

Seasons 1 for sure.

Season 1 because it was fresh new, and awsome. The humor, the insane plots. The show had a real future. I mean, the emotion, the unpredictability, the characters. I wish Pokemon had to fight for its life every season because then we'd see effort like in season one in which they had to actually make something to gain a foothold.

i have to say i like all pokemon seasons yes i can stomach the horror that was Johto.

The Kanto region is still my favorite for various reasons. Orange Islands and mid-Houen were great too.

I loved the first season! It was the best and everything was original and there....ah, the old days with Ash, Misty, Brock and Pikachu. <3

I have to say, the BF arc is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

But Orange Island and much of Hoenn. Especially the Izabe episodes.

Season 1 Will always be better than any season ever going to be made.
Season 1 they weren't Rich tards who Just make episodes carelessly. No, In season 1 (and you could include orange islands) they actually made episodes that they cared about and put effort into. They also put some decent character in it. I have a videotape of 8 hours worth of episodes, and god....they are amazing compared to todays episodes. You get the odd good episode nowadays, but the only eps worth watching is Gym Battles, Events where Misty comes in, or the leagues. If they hadn't taken misty out and replaced her with 2 new characters that dont just add up to Misty's personality, we could have had something there. No matter how many episodes they will make, no matter how many seasons, you won't beat season 1 unless they throw all their money away and start fresh like they did in Season 1.

Hoenn was good from begginning till end of 5th badge
Battle Frontier, is doing good from 1st symbol battle till current...a few ep...that were usless though

They put effort into their episodes now too. As Dogasu said and I quote, "Take out the nostalgia and you're left with an average season that felt like it was written as it went along."

I don't hold Dogasu's opinions all that highly. Just because he's a mod+ here, an admin at BulbaGarden, and has done episode comparisions doesn't make him an expert on quality and sure as hell doesn't mean he knows why we like it. So he didn't like it. That's him, not us.

Frankly, because show stood on the verge of cancelation and had less money in the first season, they did put more effort into the episodes. But that's just me.

Season 1 and 2 were good, end of Johto was alot better than the beginning of it...........but I think the BF saga is the best along with the Hoenn saga.
