Heh. My first warstory (and, in fact, my second Shoddy battle [I won my first one as well, but my opponent left before I could ask if I could save the battle]). Anyway, this was a random opponent on the Smogon Shoddy server. I asked this person's permission before saving and posting this. My username is Gligarman on Smogon, and my opponent was tmdgus0529. Don't try to pronounce my opponent's name...I tried. I think it's for distraction purposes mid-battle. xD

My actions will be in blue, and tmdgus0529's actions will be in red. My comments (and they are numerous) will be in purple.

And there you have it!

My Lows:
- Me getting cocky (and then almost losing the match).
- Heracross getting frozen and tossed around like a rag-doll.
- The annoying Jirachi who killed four of my Pokemon without breaking a sweat.
- My rotten luck.

My Highs:
- tmdgus0529 was a great opponent and good sport.
- Porygon-Z laying the smack-down on a grand total of two of my opponent's Pokemon.
- Snorlax taking a nap in the middle of the battle and winning because of it.
- My awesome (albeit rare) luck.

That Jirachi made me lol. Not with the flinching; Jirachi's already known to do that, but Ice Punch. The powers of Serene Grace is to be FEARED! XD

Both players made quite a few errors. I have no idea how gliscor outran aero though. For example, you didn't understand speed tiers e.g. infernape vs starmie and he for some reason used grass knot on lax.

Cut the guy some slack.

Personally, I thought it was a nice read and the OP shows some promise, if that was only his second battle.

Much better than I was on MY second battle =/

Yes, it was a nice read. Also I have a kind of feeling Aerodactyl user may have been running Whirlwind or summing and accidentaly misclicked on it? Who knows.

That I'll have to admit. My second battle was crap. I like your gastrodon. NUs work in OU and even ubers.

Hey, thanks for the feedback, guys. Yup. This was only my second Shoddy battle, and I've learned a lot since then. I've had a couple dozen total now...and I have learned that Starmie outruns Infernape pretty much every time. Ha. Won't make that mistake again.

Great job. Grass knot does more damage on heavy pokemon. Heres my battle. MOGARFU sent out his whole team. Enemy Mewtwo uses psychic. MOGARFU is out of usable pokemon. MOGARFU whited out!

Haha...I'm glad that this has gotten attention, but just to point out, this fight occurred four months ago, and I know my competitive much better than I did during this battle.

Just sayin'.

Who would Scarf an Infernape?

Many people. It's a solid set and great revenge killer. If my Smogon wasn't down I'd show you the exact stats.
