@SasakiThePikachu and Raiga, I think there is misunderstandment between u two.i understood what both of u where saying the whole time. SasakiThePikachu is trying to bring humor here, and Raiga is trying to stop/prevent stupid/immature posts. but i think the fight between u 2 is just about over now. this thread is about the APPEAL of pokemon, not the origin/meaning of the pokemon. Or even about the use in battle. the origin/meaning/battle use has nothing to do with the APPEAL of the pokemon, as in the look/style of a pokemon. I'm not taking sides. I'm not mad at any1, I'm just posting what I am noticing and trying to help.
Edit-P.S now back to the topic of the thread!
Well, I was already under the inclination our thing was already done with. However no, I'm not here to "stop immature posts" or anything like that. They made a post, and I disagreed with it in an over the top manner, and they took offense, simple as that.
Anyways, since people I discuss with in this thread always mention me not posting my opinion in the thread, here's mine.
And it's not a pokemon, because my opinion is simply that, I really have no problem understanding the appeal of any pokemon(up to 4th gen, I haven't seen 5th yet).
To start off with, I don't see much point in mentioning unknown pokemon. It gets on my nerves when someone mentions something like granbull, because yeah thats fantastic, but who on earth acted like granbull was a very appealing pokemon.
And on the opposite end of the spectrum, the really popular pokemon like the kanto starters, pikachu, mew, mewtwo, dragonite, garchomp, and arceus, I've never had any problem in not understanding. So thats my opinion for those who care.

I could say it for a lot of the newer evolutions in Generation 4 such as Electabuzz, Magmortar, Probopass and Magnezone... I mean, I know it made a lot of our older pokemon stronger, but I just don't understand how they are appealing... well, appearance-wise. Call me a Gen 1 junkie but most of the time, I just prefer the simpler designs of pokemon like growlithe and meowth rather some of those super-detailed evolutions. x3
Thing is though, none of the evos are really any more detailed than their previous ones. Magmortar/electivire have about equal amount of details compared to their pre-evos, and many like gallade and magnazone are the same. If you ask me personally, I'd say there's no doubt in my mind 90% of those evos were made during their pre-evo's respective region, and just showed up in fourth gen.
